Yes that hill back up from the river is a lung buster. I tried to get a photo of I.K.B with a train going over the bridge, but its hidden by the sides somewhat.. Loved the film as ever.
Many thanks, I'd agree, I was fearful of someone walking past on the footpath just as I wanted to get the shot, but its always nice to have some human interest in an image.
Another great video Andrew,Sod’s Law isn’t it that when you were there in May it was sunny and typically no trains but come rain or shine that location is stunning, just glad it stopped raining enough for you to go on to the bridge, some stunning shots from there, really enjoyed it,cheers Andrew
Really good Andrew, images are superb as is the commentary. I think the weather actually helped the moody grey colour of the bridge, 'it looks right gritty'!
Many thanks, Brian, yes, to some degree I do prefer cloudy weather to full sun and blue skies, although I'm not so keen on getting wet, but it did add some atmosphere.
Brilliant video in a great location. Th shot of Saltash station on the bend onto the bridge excellent. And in poor weather. Enjoy your posts Andrew thank you
Many thanks, indeed, there's some great compositions to be teased out, pity I was just passing through, I'm sure under different weather and light some great images could be had.

Many thanks, Peter, yep it's steeper than it looks up to the town!
I actually think having the man walking in the shot on the second photo looks better than the one without, excellent work

Great video Andrew..... Just a little light drizzle for this part of the world!
Drizzle!!, it rained and rained after I left, this was the day before Dawlish flooded.
Despite the weather, amazing images and contagious enthusiasm for the subject! Enjoyed every second!
So glad to hear it, that's made my day!
@@AndrewShenton that’s very kind of you to say so. To be honest though, your channel is fantastic. Just thought you should know ;-)
I do appreciate that many thanks@@flippop101
an amazing video, such an interesting place
Glad you enjoyed it, yes an amazing place, this was I.K.Brunels last project before he died.

Many thanks David, yes, sods law, at least I managed it this time, even if I did get very wet in the end.
Fantastic as always Andrew, thanks.
My pleasure, I'm still thinking of heading your way this winter.

Thanks Andrew, great images and location. I'll check it out on Google maps. Cool musical selection also.
Appreciated, many thanks, you must find it on Google and have a tour around on Street View.
Some great images there Andrew, plus Mrs Shentons video is really excellent.
Thanks Peter, I must have fooled you with some dodgy filming, this was all mine this time, she was exploring Saltash whilst I was out filming.
@@AndrewShenton Well done to you then, definite professional hand in there. Whatever great video.
Brilliant video in a great location. Th shot of Saltash station on the bend onto the bridge excellent. And in poor weather. Enjoy your posts Andrew thank you
My pleasure, this one took some time to recover, I and the camera gear were absolutely soaked.
I particularly like the very last shot, with the dark sky and the loco light reflecting off the rails.
Many thanks, even though it was still afternoon, the rain made it like dusk, a shot I'd like to try one evening if I ever get the chance.
Really lovely video and lucky the boats have behaved, they are steep roads in Saliash as well which make out get out of breath with ease.
Many thanks Simon, yes, luckily the trains were running this time.
Loved the vid.
At 1.07 the first window to the right, looks like a dark face, looking out.
Thanks, I see it, no idea what that was though!
Smashing work. Some great shots there and some fantastic views. Totally agree with some of the comments on here about your choice of pictures.

Cracking video Andrew. I know the location at the Plymouth side (although not been there since about 1985!) but love the shots at Saltash!
Many thanks, Andy & Helen, its a place I've wanted to stop off at for some time and finally managed it this year.
Great vlog Andrew 😊
Thanks for watching and greatly appreciated.
