Your video was perfect . Just got my 578 and btl1 back from b.c and needed my Elmer. Hope the bridgecom ultra code plug transfers all to my 578 without a hitch. Thanks again friend. Gus, wd9gus, Wisconsin, usa
I wouldn’t recommend getting one just from seeing this video. Some people have had problems. It depends what region your radio is set to. But it worked for me.
fdnyfish The reason I posted this when I got my 578 there was an error when I try to load the code plug from my 878. So I posted this so people had an alternative. Obviously it will work with the most Anytone radios to and from either.
Digital Analogue Ham I downloaded the latest 578 CPS, 1.08 I think, and it let me load my 868 code plug directly without going though all the contortions in the video.I do have the USA model by the way. I don’t see why there would be any problem loading 868 to 578 but maybe if you wanted to load 578 that had 220 channels to 868.
I was intrigued by your comment and I have double checked. Both have 10 in cps. I am just wondering if your radio is in business mode. On your 878 do you have a vfo. If it is in business mode that is missing along with lots of other stuff that is not required
@@digitalanaloguehamradio I've just went back to look, the codeplug has model "Amateur US Mode 0007" and working mode in the optional settings also on amateur mode. Both radios have latest firmware too. Zone exports of the 878 only have 5 columns of data. I'm not sure why a difference exists based on your comment... at a loss but appreciate you checking!

That’s great my friend I am surprised it worked for you in America. It’s all about what band mode you have got your Radio set on.
Thanks for sharing this. I was considering a 578, this has convinced me as I can use my 878 codeplug 👌

Thank you for tour help.
You are welcome!
As long as both radios are on the same band plan, all you need to do is export the 878 codeplug to DCF and open it in the D578 CPS.

When you imported, did the zones come in?
I assume this will also work with a 868. I have a 868 with and extensive code plug and have a 578 on order and this will save a lot of work.
It worked for me because both radios were in the same mode. 2 m and 70 cm. If you are in a country that supports the 220 band you may have trouble

@@digitalanaloguehamradio why should I try anything else. I simply loaded my 868 code plug in my 578 CPS and it worked.
@@RioHondoHank Great stuff. Doesn’t work for everyone
Thanks for this.. big help...
Great I'm glad it worked. It does not work for everyone depending on what country and bands your radios are using
The radio can be opened up. But that is for another day.
The zone file for 578 has 10 columns of data, only 5 for the 878 - how did you get the zones to work?

This issue was just confirmed by Bridgecomsys - I have found a workaround and shared with them to validate.
@@kenrnet6706 What was the workaround?
Again TOT should be 180s
