    I tied commercially for some local sporting goods stores back in the 90’s and I’ve found this series to be VERY helpful for beginners and old hands alike! You’re NEVER too old to learn! Keep up the good work!

    I wish this video was around when I first started tying. I have a tying room with thousands of dollars in materials (don't tell my wife how much I spent lol). The plus side is I can basically tie what ever I want. The crazy part of the materials is that there is alway something new coming out to make a pattern "better". To all the new people to tying welcome and don't give up, it's so satisfying to catch fish on flies you've tied.

    Alex. I’m in Australia and love all your videos. Can I ask the fly I have issues tying the Parachute Adams and Royal Wulff and they are the ones that seem to get the trout. Do you have videos on these ?
    I make many different nymphs and happy that they catch fish. Thanks again and look forward to seeing more.
    Can I ask do you or will you do any videos on Euro Nymphing ?
    Mike

      I mean… we gave our two cents and best advice (buy the materials and tie one pattern at a time). Then talked about the kits. 🤷🏽‍♂️
      A full length save money video is launching on Sunday! We go into way more details.

    • @DeathlyPudding
      @DeathlyPudding Год назад +1

      @@venturesflyco The strategy is literally just a barely veiled lead in for your product lol. And the strat technically doesn't really save you money, it just spreads it out over time. I look forward to the video on Sunday though! I do like your flies, caught a couple big ones on them in the recent past, for that I am thankful.

      You can definitely cut corners lol, as a tail for nymphs I've used the bristles off of a cheap make-up from dollar tree. I've used my dogs hair before, and that's the beauty of tying flies.

    • @DeathlyPudding
      @DeathlyPudding 11 месяцев назад

      @@drew9122 that's a great idea with the make-up bristles. Probably would work great as mayfly tails too. Thanks for the tip

    Question on Pheasants, I hunt pheasants, what is your opinion on hackle that can be used from Pheasants?

    • @venturesflyco
      @venturesflyco  8 месяцев назад

      Hackle… not sure. But tail feathers are great for tying up nymphs. 👍🏽

    how do you protect your expensive cape feathers against moths etc. ?

    • @venturesflyco
      @venturesflyco  Год назад +1

      Try to keep them in an air tight plastic bag. If there are any moths, throw them out or keep them away from your other feathers cause they can lay eggs and mess with those ones too.
