I ran 138 crests about 50/50 between LC's and ELC's, got 4 5* gems. One run was like yours - one 2/5 frozen heart and one 3/5 hellfire fragment. Another was a 2/5 hellfire fragment and the last was a 3/5 maw of the deep. None of those were among my 8 selected gems. Now that's some bad luck or a rigged system. Update: Make it 252 crests now with 3 more 5* drops, but none were the 8 I selected...so just more gem power while waiting for the copies I actually need.
I share this sentiment. Feels a lot like they are trying to reset the market by reducing drop rate, reducing supply and damn those of us that worked hard/saved up for crests. 0/60 5*s over the last two weeks. Seems sketchy.
I ran 70 gold crests on this event last week and got one 5 star level 2 frozen heart, which was not in the 8 that I picked. When you do the maths with all the gems in the game your chance of getting one is only 18% and then add the 150% chance to it and you come up to 27% chance of getting one ,so yes its a scam. Your better waiting for the double gem drop, but good luck on getting what you want
Dude I agree this is a 100 bullshit scam I’ve used at least a 100 crest and got 3 2/5 gems and worst is 2 were not even part of the 8 selected and the other 97 crest was just shit and a few volatile shard wtf
Blizz always Blizz. They expectations too high with Gems and too confident with that. Most of people ( both low spender and avg spender) always want spend often with good deal. But Blizz want challenge all player with fkin bad deal and we all feel that too much. Game static bad now, hope they fix all problem soon
I'm having the same results. In the last couple hundred crests I've run, over half of the 5* gems I got were not 1 of the ones I selected smh.

the remarks on a maximum 5* drop from 50 LC used is just 2-5 quality 5* gem...i misunderstood that...tot was 5/5*..
Tell devs they need to nerf summons. Any summon near the heart should not be indestructable
