Do you think that premed students should approach pre-writing secondaries with a bit of caution during the pandemic? For example, that question about “what will you be doing during your gap year?” might be a bit trickier to answer now that most things are closed. Do you think questions like that have a good chance of changing this year?
Additionally, do you think any medical schools will be asking about how we spent our time during the pandemic/how it impacted us during secondaries and interviews?
How honest should I be? lol. Answers like "A big reason why I like your school is the low tuition" and "Honestly diversity how it's defined nowadays, I don't really care for. I care about treating all people the same and providing everyone the same quality service. I don't wish to give anyone extra attention because they're a minority, etc. I care about character, diversity of thought/opinion, etc."
I feel like I can't even say the second one because the majority of schools will reject me. It's like I'm being forced to say "diversity is so important to me because blah blah blah". I'm a Latino immigrant too, this sucks
I don’t really see why you need to mention the first part at all. That really just comes off as “Politics pervades my thought even when applying to med school.” Why not just talk about diversity as you define it?
YES!! Great video Dr. Gray. Informative yet easy to understand. Excited for the future of the channel x

Excellent video.
There are a lot of secondary prompts. How many of these prompts will they ask in each secondary?
