I knew I wasn't imagining things! This track actually develops as you do more world intel, adding more chanting, crazy percussion, and a heaping helping of flute. This is the most basic version you get at the very start of the zone, nice and mellow. The full version is incredible though, like you've brought the jungle back to life
@@night104 Ok actually I just noticed that today and wasn't sure if it was because I was exploring more and had spent more time paying attention the music, but that's a really cool feature. They've really thought of it all with this game.
@@BearBoyJWyea it’s amazing I’m telling u FF7 rebirth is truly a magical experience and I’m all here for it I’m around 84 hours in and I’m ngl this region brought tears to my eyes 🥹because I remember in the original this region only had 2 screens
Thank you!!! My buddy and I were trying to figure out what instrument that was that kicks in around 0:16 and you just saved us a lot of searching around haha
From what little I’ve heard, this style reminds me of the music of indigenous people of the Amazon Rainforest (especially once the rest of the percussion is added)
I was in a resort. The balcony was facing to the greenhill with infinity pool beneath. There is no better background music than Gongaga theme for a morning tea sip in the balcony.
This is just perfect for this area and was even better when your exploring the forests and can see the sun shining through and the music just being so beautiful! I haven’t found 1 song I hate in rebirth ( yet anyway)
Like, what is the inspiration to this? Scottish? Irish? But then the lyrics hit and I have no idea what that language is?? Gaelic? But it kinda sounds more like African plains or something at that point. I don't know, but it's all very beautiful!
Oh wow. It's been years since I've heard that song, but looking back at it now I can hear exactly what you mean. I haven't got to Gongaga just yet, but this theme envokes a similar heavy tribal feeling of reminiscing a "warrior that fell in battle"
It’s a festival a town so call______ from the north to celebrate for our fallen hero who fought bravery protecting the people from the empire. That’s the region coming alive.
"She's right, you know. If Shinra had wanted to, they could have done something about the reactor. Instead, they looked the other way. Willful negligence killed those people, and everyone thinks Avalanche are the bad guys. Sad."

It's like this for every region track. Grasslands adds trumpets, Junon adds acoustic guitar from the battle version. Corel completes the empty melody

Thats really cool. I never noticed this.@@night104
This version is missing the female choir part 😑

Whatever the guy was smoking to get the idea of putting Irish Uillean Pipes and Tin Whistles with African drums and choir singing, please give me some
Thank you!!! My buddy and I were trying to figure out what instrument that was that kicks in around 0:16 and you just saved us a lot of searching around haha
Took me to gongaga before I released that all the regions do this

It was the mushroom
@@mimicasa86 you see, you will "gone gaga" when taking these gongaga mushrooms - so theryago
I can feel the emotional weight that is the backstory of Zack character.
Glad there are other people who also felt that! I couldn't listen to it without thinking about Zack, how he was growing here
I agree this fits his personality perfectly you can see why Zack was they he was.
Zack is one of the best characters in all gaming. Love his story and what he teaches you to aspire in life.

Nothing beats hearing this theme for the first time. I wish I could hear it for the first time again.
Facts.....this and Salmons theme😂
Definitely a "Whoa wtf?" moment followed by setting the controll down and head bobbing.
My favorite chapter of this game, when i finished it i was 😢😢😢
@@dablaccaiyan9152 Yeah! The three stand out songs of the game for me were Gongaga, Salmons Theme and Mt Corel Hike.
Why aren’t people talking about this track more, I ascend every time I listen! ❤❤
It's a good track
Each area has a unique track of their open world, Gongaga definitely has a scottish highlands meeting jungle vibe.
Being Scottish, i got more of an Irish vibe from it. But yeah, both places use those instruments i think.
Isn't it more native American themed?
@@bungifish2227 mhh, not really, but i can see the similarities
@@bungifish2227no it’s a mix of a bunch of things
@@Mirristal yh it's a mix, but the flute is literally same as ones heard in native American themed tunes. RUclips it.

One of the best gaming tracks ever. I finished the game weeks ago, but this theme is stuck in my head
Gongaga is my favorite music in this game
Same, its awesome
Same, unexpected but pleasantly surprised
My jaw dropped when i first heard this
Love this song so much and I love that it get so much love from many people as well.
Me? Gongaga!
This theme was so unexpected. I didn’t think it would even go this hard. God I need the whole soundtrack to be out
Love my gaming soundtracks, this is definitely one to add to my favourites
The music in this game is phenomenal but this probably has to be my favorite track from it all
This song is burned into my head now 😂😂😂 103 hrs in and ive yet to finish the game its so damn good
Anyone get the vibe of this being some sort of swan song for zack and his legacy
This reminds me of a Cirque de Soleil show - just full of wonder and awe. Thanks RUclips algorithm!
Best OST of any region
100% Agree. This shyt was like magic to me as soon as I heard it lol. Made me instantly flash all the good times in my life instantly lol.
I felt this had some celtic (keltic) undertones. Soon as i heard it i didnt want to leave
I prefer this version before the theme changes…it’s a bit more chill, like it belongs in the lion king.
When immediately going into this zone, the music reminded me of Pascal's Village Them from Automata.
The best place I have ever visited as far as I have played and Zack's home...
Like, what is the inspiration to this? Scottish? Irish? But then the lyrics hit and I have no idea what that language is?? Gaelic? But it kinda sounds more like African plains or something at that point. I don't know, but it's all very beautiful!
i liked how this was so minimal.. and then i later found out theres a reason for it
This is the song I put down my controller and just enjoy.
Damn this song is nice and I haven't gone to Gonzaga yet
Walking in Zacks's hometown, I became emotional. I love him so.
This reminds me to that one song from cowboy bebop "space lion"
Oh wow. It's been years since I've heard that song, but looking back at it now I can hear exactly what you mean.
I haven't got to Gongaga just yet, but this theme envokes a similar heavy tribal feeling of reminiscing a "warrior that fell in battle"
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought this as soon as I heard the slow drums and chanting. Such a memorable piece.
Sounds like a song made by angels.

Me? Gongaga
lol when i came here that same line rang through my mind. best psp game ever!
It’s a festival a town so call______ from the north to celebrate for our fallen hero who fought bravery protecting the people from the empire. That’s the region coming alive.

Image Zack running around the forest as a kid.
This version is not in the OST... Only the expanded versoin. But this is my fav 😢
