Parkside X20V Battery Outlet Universal Adapter for Testing Charging and Powering other devices

  • I have designed a simple and nice output voltage adapter for all Parkside X20V PAP series batteries. One version is with an external terminal block connected with a two wire lead, and the other version is connected with a thicker lead that can be clipped to an integrated terminal block on the adapter body. I used the proven WAGO 221 lever clamps as terminal blocks, which can tolerate higher currents and a wide range of wire diameters.
    A simple version of the battery outlet can also be mounted to a panel or wall with screws. The adapter can then also serve as a battery holder. For panel mounting, it is better to use suitable spacing between the battery outlet and the panel, due to the offset from the substrate to allow the battery to be ejected.
    Commonly available insulated or non-insulated Faston crimp connectors are sufficient to make the contacts
    All 3D models can be purchased from this link:

    Thanks! I was planning to design something similar, but decided to look for solutions already done on the internet. This is the best one so far!

    Mes montage sont par contre beaucoup plus rustique et primitif.
    Je vous félicite pour vos réalisation et le partage.

    I would only use it with recent smart battery version, since older ones don't have any under voltage protection in battery.

    • @Tech-3D
      @Tech-3D  2 года назад +1

      That's a matter of what's attached to it. If it is used to connect an artificial load, for the sake of capacity testing, the undervoltage protection will be set on the artificial load. If it is used to connect a DC/DC converter, the undervoltage protection will be set on the converter. Otherwise, the undervoltage protection can always be solved externally. However, I don't address the electrical connection of the various loads to the Parkside batteries in this post, so feel free to just let it be used for new batteries with undervoltage protection.

    Hi, I am trying to use the Parkside 20V batteries instead of V-mount batteries for film equipment.
    As I see it I have to transform the voltage. Any hints with what I can do this easily and also keeping it compact/sturdy?
    Vmount is 14,8V nominal. The minimum is likely around 12 V the max 16.8V.
    Any tips appericated!
    Thanks a lot

    • @Tech-3D
      @Tech-3D  Год назад +2

      This depends on the required current draw. The easiest way to do this is to use a ready-made DC/DC converter module, so called step down converter or buck converter and add a deep discharge prevention module that disconnects the Parkside battery. Such modules are cheap and available from China or from some local vendors just about everywhere.

    Dobrý den videl som video na parkside bateriu a chcel bi som sa spitat či by ste vedelo vyrobiť taký isti adapter ale na dewalt bateriu DCBP034E2

    • @Tech-3D
      @Tech-3D  Год назад

      Určite by to išlo vyrobiť ale žiadne DeWALT batérie nemám. Tým pádom to nemám podľa čoho vymodelovať a reálne vyskúšať = prototypovať. Neviem či a aký by bol záujem o takéto adaptéry na DeWALT batérie, preto ak by som si započítal do výroby prvého kusu adaptéra aj náklady na testovacie prorotypové výtlačky a čas pri tom strávený, jeho cena by niekoľko krát prevyšovala cenu adaptéru na Parkside. Preto neviem, či by sa to vlastne vám aj mne oplatilo.
