Its bugged though, because of the "extra mod slot" that can't be altered you are bound to the affinity they drop on. Its kinda annoying if you have a god roll but its not the right affinity for the mods you need.

Lumina had it's short time to shine last season with Overload HC. It worked really well in the Glassway GM, especially with both Teammates using Witherhoard with Breach&Clear. Had sooo much fun with Boots of the Assembler, can't wait to see what crazy combos we come up with this season!
Same, one of my favorite HCs, especially now on my Warlock with Boots of the Assembler, kinda wish Bungie used the same code for the boots and changed the wisps from Lumina because honestly they miss far too often or go after the same target way too often.
It’s insanely underrated in pvp, it feels crispy af to use constant buff to your friends and yourself making it a 2 head one body almost all the time plus it combos really well with that warlock exotic that makes noble rounds spawn the only problem is that it suffers from lack of range cause it used to be a 150 and bungie forgot to put extra range in them to compensate for the change
The archetype and perk aren't bad is juste requires playstyle no one is willinly to play in this current meta, I sometimes run it with boots of the assembler to play the full support class just for fun

With the buff for Malfeasance explosions in December, Malfeasance's Damage excluding its 25% bonus against Taken, is 210,531 which means it's BETTER than Last Word and almost as good as Lumina. Some of the shots were messed up when using Malf for you so it's gonna do maybe around 211-214K
Seventh seraph with timed playload been the best primary tied with ikelos for a while imo. It’s not as good now because of warmind cells nerf, but anything that shoots quick with explosive rounds will always be hella good against champs for overload.
I am curious how some of these HCs would do with a Divinity Bubble on them just for the ease of aiming cuz Shuro got a tiny head. With that being said, Cross missed very few shots lol
@@Santisima_Trinidad In the end, the differing crit multipliers wouldn't matter because it's not about the actual numbers themselves, but rather how they stack up in comparison to each other in the same testing environment.
Though I imagine you've already thought of it, Lumina would be even better for the fact that outside of damage testing you wouldn't be the only one shooting, and it's Blessing of the Sky buff would also be acting on at least 1 other fireteam member, so their damage would be higher as well.
I used Lumina / Lucky Pants in the seasonal event just before this and immediately had to look for a video to make sure I wasn't imagining how incredible it was. And when I'm out of luck I buff an ally, switch weapons, and go on a tear while the pants recharge. It's a rad combo.
PSA: You can only fire off 15 shots from a 180 within the buff timer. With extended mag, Seventh Seraph Officers revolver can get 16 in the mag, meaning you do not need Fourth Times the Charm.
Seventh Seraph was fantastic and it shows that legendaries - of course - are more tweakable and are not supposed to be inferior to exotics, which have a more special and unique role (if that ends up in higher dmg in some cases, that's perfectly fine). Btw you can see around 12:33 that Cross was a bit slow in the beginning & the full potential of 180 rpm wasn't utilised - one more shot could be squeezed in. On the other hand, 180s have more limited range which might not always be available for every boss. In any case, great work!

In case any fellow sturm + drang users are wondering, the empowered rounds override the damage, but the damage boost is still counted per shot. If you only carry a few empowered rounds, you can essentially skip the initial build up in damage.
@@johnuzoka6229 you're kind of limited by how long the buff lasts it looks like. As to whether high impact reserves works off of the original mag size or the buffed size with ambitious I'm not sure. Would be pretty easy to figure out that. High impact reserves might be meta though.
@@ryanmolloy5421 Yeah I did some testing on my survivors Epitaph and the damage buff last only until the 14th shot so if you have over 14 bullets in the mag you will miss out on the full damage but if you have 13-14 you'll do more damage than vorpal
For using Ace of Spades, you can proc Momento Mori before hand and just keep it ready, then when it's DPS time if you very quickly pull out your ghost and put it away that starts the Lucky Pants buff just the same as if you drew it. So it could have done a LOT more damage.

Cross if you pull out your ghost with momento mori itll stay active and count as readying your weapon! I still think its worse than crimson/tlw but the firefly ad clear is nice
It is so nice to see Lumina actually relevant now. Though, I still think that the healing shots still don't pull their weight in hard content with regard to the healing.
I've been using Lumina for a good while now The healing is good, specially because of how quick it is. As a warlock healer, in harder content sometimes you just dont have time to charge a light grenade or to place a rift or well for your ally, they die really really fast... and sometimes they're also out of your effective healing range... so noble rounds it is. It doesnt provide overshields, but you have an instant long-range heal, and you can always keep shooting them to keep them alive until they take some good cover And the 35% pve damage buff is really devastating with weapons like Ascendancy or a teammate with an One Thousand Voices and the Particle Deconstruction, you melt through bosses in no time Regarding PVP, it feels really good, specially with HC aim mods. And it provides 20% pvp damage buff too, so you can one shot people with AF snipers or get some crazy multikills with grenade launchers (or you can just keep shotting with Lumina and have a 140 HC with the damage similar to a 120, which is also pretty nice) Plus: I'm using it with the Boots of the Assembler, so you get noble rounds just by placing a rift or a well, anywhere and anytime. You dont even need to get a kill to charge Lumina, its just great
I highly appreciate work, that has been done to publish this video, but it has a couple of mistakes: 1. Memento mori does not disappear when you check your ghost, so this action also procs damage buff. AoS works with lucky pants 2. Sturm hadn't been charged by sturm overcharge, which is highly boosts its damage in PVE. 3. Vorpal instead of timed payload (gives ~15% against all combatants, not only bosses) on seventh seraph revolver. 4. Palindrome instead of fatebringer with explosive and frenzy. This combination gives it ~32% damage boost. 5. 120's hadn't been tested, they, according to most popular DPS spreadsheet, have a little bit higher dps than other archetypes. P.S. Seventh Seraph is my fav hand cannon by far. Got one with ambitious assassin + timed payload with back-up mag mod. Not uncommon to get 24 rounds in the mag when i reload. It's really fun.
I think this is gonma be my go to pve exotic. Pretty big dmg boost that is so easy to proc and can be used on anything. They really did good job to make it relevant but didnt destroy sandbox.
I think The Last Word would be my preference just because of the RoF. I think the rotation for me would be one mag of TLW for the full buff duration, swap to Slug Shotty, swap to Rockets, then back to TLW. If you have an extra hand cannon holster mod on your Lucky Pants, it should reload your TLW by the time you end the first rotation. Just a thought, can't wait to test these all out on Templar lol
When you realize you have a SEVENTH SERAPH OFFICER REVOLVER with Drop mag, Fourth Times the Charm, and Vorpal just rusting in your vault. YEAH ME!!!! 😁
most of this seems to be dependent on magazine size as well since it seems only the first mag gets the buff so the seventh seraph, crimson, and malfeasance were able to get more stacks of the buff than the rest of the weapons and that's what ultimately made them pass the rest in damage potential
Some things that could throw off numbers, Khali's crit multiplier is different than other bosses, and higher light on the weapons will inflate numbers from 1100 from collections. Also, having a 4tth if you want to use this encounter use Div so the crits are auto would help, but nonetheless; very impressive numbers and testing
I been using ambitious assassin and vorpal weapon. It’s been working great I clear lost sectors in like 3 to 5 minutes easy. I hope they don’t nerf this too bad.

Every single time I do about a class I walk in with lumina and Boots of the assembler. The people are like what are you rocking that for until they start dying in the orb start flying to heal then everybody's quiet. I'm waaaaaay up I feel blessed. ✨
I'd like to see how a reconstruction hand cannon would work. Would the extra mag size count as 'full' for the context of LP perk? Also it's base auto loading means you could run two HC, and keep shooting throughout the "Out of Luck" debuff
overall this wasn't a really good experiment, but it was a really good showcase of which weapons are the most practical, which gets the point across. Last word Crimson and Eriana's are the definitive best though. (exotics)
@@Sasquatch0601 🤦♂️ read it again. Your light is capped at 1100 no matter what light level you can get up to your power and damage will go no higher than what you can receive at 1100 with buffs only boosting from that level of power.
Last word will take the lead with out question with marksmen dodge and a divi Ina. Group, can get last word hitting for 50k a shot and get off a 6 rounds of 50k hits. Erianas imo is the best though because of ease of use.
Aztecross, theres a problem with the numbers because it has been confirmed the individual weapon light does affect damage, thats why the seventh seraph was better. It being 1300 light beat out the exotics at 1100 light
I know this is an older video, but just throwing it out there that in Season of the Haunted, the Lucky Pants multiplier stacks with Radiant, CWL, and Font of Might. At full stacks and with Vorpal and Boss spec the total damage buff stacks to 1455%. In the test video the damage was capping at 21,280 but with the additional buffs it'd be up to 43,650 per hit.
Let's also note that Lumina buffs allies weapons too. A lumina user can easily buff 2 teammates who are using eriana's if they want to use a different special weapon for GM's, while also being able to do substantial damage themselves for nothing but their unlimited primary ammo.
I'm still counting malfeasance as the king, as you will eventually run into taken if your using this for dps. Edit: I say king as I didn't buy shadowkeep
Highly doubt it. When it comes to damage numbers, Bungie 100% knew exactly what these guns would produce in the wild. What Bungie is famous for failing at, is finding creative ways to break the game with new exotics during testing, and then they disable/nerf things into the ground (like the new dancing shoes) after the community does that job for them, and self reports to Bungie via Reddit and Twitter.

Path of the Burning Step/Particle Deconstruction/Font of Might/Vex and bottom tree sunbreaker. It has been the nastiest build I’ve played with in a while. You literally burning everything to the ground
Sturm, eriana's, and last word are unequivocally the 3 best choices because they don't require any actual setup, except having to wait longer for last word to reload. Sturm gets a naturally huge damage boost on its own and eriana's does too as long as you keep hitting crits. Last word's sheer rate of fire also makes it exceptional with these pants. I would say sturm takes the top spot tho because you can get the damage boost with sturm, seamlessly switch to drang to charge up sturm again while lucky pants are on cooldown, and then switch back to sturm, and repeat
Lumina's buff is basically the same as WoD (aka Bubble) so if you add 35% damage to everything else (assuming you use them in a fireteam with someone using Bubble) Lumina would fall behind even Thorn, just being better at solo play
I had like 3 officer revolvers in my vault and one of them was this absolute beast of a god roll when the rework dropped. Almost never took the pants off from that day, the melting you can do gives you thrills and you can use an enegy exotic too like an add clear with it. Didn't know it was the best one and you even lost one or two shots.
You guys should really try it with that new middle tree arcstrider buff, where doing damage after the charge melee now gives u instant reload, instead of using marksman dodge for it.
My personal experience has been with the Crimson thus far, and I gotta say, I really like it. The Crimson’s healing abilities is why I am able to consistently solo strikes, when push comes to shove, and combining it with the damage boost from Lucky Pants and the accuracy I’ve gained with the weapon over the years… it’s almost too broken of a combo, but that may be just because of how much experience I have with it. If Bungie does nerf this combo, I hope they see Lucky Pants as the problem and leave Crimson well enough alone. Melting a boss with Primaries is fun, but I can already see the nerf coming.
i normally use the crimson and lucky pants in pve, but the only set back with what your doing is that the crimson reloads the magazine with every precision kill, meaning it would deal more damage
If you've got the rolls, I'd love to see some other legendary HCs, mainly 180rpm's. Deep Stone HC can roll 4th times redirection, Ikelos HC can roll triple tap vorpal, and Survivor's Epitaph can roll.. maybe rapid hit/firmly planted frenzy? even though i feel like that'll be the most underperforming. Either way I wanna see how they hold up with 7th seraph
This is best on 180s IMO. It Freakin SLAYS against Champions and in Gambit. New HC w Harmony is reeeeeally good for this. I'm also finding the new high impact fusion with Harmony to be really good in PvE. It's kind of like charging up a special grenade launcher that fires straight and has an entire clip. I've been using this loadout in combination with Lucky Pants to destroy everything
The serpah revolver i have has reconstruction and high impact reserves. The magazine always overflowed up to 23 rounds. I run with sunshot and lucky pants, so that radiant is also active.
I have that SSOR. Exact same everything. It's a beautiful piece of hardware. 2.3k enemies defeated with a bergusian night shader. 18 rounds if you toss boss spec for backup mag. Which isn't a bad idea considering fttc. Oh and it makes warmind cells.

I used lumina in the day 1 Vault of Glass. Single handedly held down the middle section (apart from wyverns) with the assembler/lumina combo.

14:02 with Palindrome. He missed a good chunk of damage, others as well.
I think shuro has a higher crit multiplier than most targets. So divinity would lead to lower damage, at least with how few shots cross missed.

4th time on seventh has been my go to hand cannon for a while. It's so good. I got a timed payload one that is absolutely cheek clapper.

It is so nice to see Lumina actually relevant now. Though, I still think that the healing shots still don't pull their weight in hard content with regard to the healing.
I've been using Lumina for a good while now
The healing is good, specially because of how quick it is.
As a warlock healer, in harder content sometimes you just dont have time to charge a light grenade or to place a rift or well for your ally, they die really really fast... and sometimes they're also out of your effective healing range... so noble rounds it is. It doesnt provide overshields, but you have an instant long-range heal, and you can always keep shooting them to keep them alive until they take some good cover
And the 35% pve damage buff is really devastating with weapons like Ascendancy or a teammate with an One Thousand Voices and the Particle Deconstruction, you melt through bosses in no time
Regarding PVP, it feels really good, specially with HC aim mods. And it provides 20% pvp damage buff too, so you can one shot people with AF snipers or get some crazy multikills with grenade launchers (or you can just keep shotting with Lumina and have a 140 HC with the damage similar to a 120, which is also pretty nice)
Plus: I'm using it with the Boots of the Assembler, so you get noble rounds just by placing a rift or a well, anywhere and anytime. You dont even need to get a kill to charge Lumina, its just great
I highly appreciate work, that has been done to publish this video, but it has a couple of mistakes:
1. Memento mori does not disappear when you check your ghost, so this action also procs damage buff. AoS works with lucky pants
2. Sturm hadn't been charged by sturm overcharge, which is highly boosts its damage in PVE.
3. Vorpal instead of timed payload (gives ~15% against all combatants, not only bosses) on seventh seraph revolver.
4. Palindrome instead of fatebringer with explosive and frenzy. This combination gives it ~32% damage boost.
5. 120's hadn't been tested, they, according to most popular DPS spreadsheet, have a little bit higher dps than other archetypes.

man, when malfiences gets that buff later this season, hopefully it can be even better. 200k is not bad at all atm
Seventh Seraph is my fav hand cannon by far. Got one with ambitious assassin + timed payload with back-up mag mod. Not uncommon to get 24 rounds in the mag when i reload. It's really fun.
I think this is gonma be my go to pve exotic. Pretty big dmg boost that is so easy to proc and can be used on anything. They really did good job to make it relevant but didnt destroy sandbox.

I think The Last Word would be my preference just because of the RoF. I think the rotation for me would be one mag of TLW for the full buff duration, swap to Slug Shotty, swap to Rockets, then back to TLW. If you have an extra hand cannon holster mod on your Lucky Pants, it should reload your TLW by the time you end the first rotation. Just a thought, can't wait to test these all out on Templar lol

I got one with tac mag ambitious assassin and high impact reserves and reload masterwork
drop mag would be bad for that because it reduces mag size now
most of this seems to be dependent on magazine size as well since it seems only the first mag gets the buff so the seventh seraph, crimson, and malfeasance were able to get more stacks of the buff than the rest of the weapons and that's what ultimately made them pass the rest in damage potential
I just deleted my 4th times vorpal when warmind nerf got here. Never felt a bigger pit in my stomach :(
Some things that could throw off numbers, Khali's crit multiplier is different than other bosses, and higher light on the weapons will inflate numbers from 1100 from collections. Also, having a 4tth if you want to use this encounter use Div so the crits are auto would help, but nonetheless; very impressive numbers and testing
I been using ambitious assassin and vorpal weapon. It’s been working great I clear lost sectors in like 3 to 5 minutes easy. I hope they don’t nerf this too bad.

@@yourlocalhuman3526 1350s take me about 5 to 10 minutes but I’m only 1322 right now. Probably won’t be dining any more lost sectors I have really good rolls for dance mechanics and star eaters but I doubt I will ever take off luck pants for pve. Well at least before they nerf it.

I'd like to see how a reconstruction hand cannon would work. Would the extra mag size count as 'full' for the context of LP perk? Also it's base auto loading means you could run two HC, and keep shooting throughout the "Out of Luck" debuff

I think if cross hadn't done the mechanics then he would have gotten a few extra seconds on shooting rather than aiming.
overall this wasn't a really good experiment, but it was a really good showcase of which weapons are the most practical, which gets the point across. Last word Crimson and Eriana's are the definitive best though. (exotics)
@@theyon4422 it does mater though. for every level you are over, you do a percentage of more damage to a cap of i believe 20 levels.
@@Sasquatch0601 🤦♂️ read it again. Your light is capped at 1100 no matter what light level you can get up to your power and damage will go no higher than what you can receive at 1100 with buffs only boosting from that level of power.
Last word will take the lead with out question with marksmen dodge and a divi Ina. Group, can get last word hitting for 50k a shot and get off a 6 rounds of 50k hits.
Erianas imo is the best though because of ease of use.

Aztecross, theres a problem with the numbers because it has been confirmed the individual weapon light does affect damage, thats why the seventh seraph was better. It being 1300 light beat out the exotics at 1100 light

I know this is an older video, but just throwing it out there that in Season of the Haunted, the Lucky Pants multiplier stacks with Radiant, CWL, and Font of Might. At full stacks and with Vorpal and Boss spec the total damage buff stacks to 1455%. In the test video the damage was capping at 21,280 but with the additional buffs it'd be up to 43,650 per hit.
You missed 2 crits with pali that would have shoved lumina out
Let's also note that Lumina buffs allies weapons too. A lumina user can easily buff 2 teammates who are using eriana's if they want to use a different special weapon for GM's, while also being able to do substantial damage themselves for nothing but their unlimited primary ammo.
I'm still counting malfeasance as the king, as you will eventually run into taken if your using this for dps.

Highly doubt it. When it comes to damage numbers, Bungie 100% knew exactly what these guns would produce in the wild. What Bungie is famous for failing at, is finding creative ways to break the game with new exotics during testing, and then they disable/nerf things into the ground (like the new dancing shoes) after the community does that job for them, and self reports to Bungie via Reddit and Twitter.
@@SamEy3Am you say that but it's pretty well known bungie doesn't want primary exotics to be a good source of dps(outbreak is a good example) so these'll get nerf if they follow that mentality

Path of the Burning Step/Particle Deconstruction/Font of Might/Vex and bottom tree sunbreaker. It has been the nastiest build I’ve played with in a while. You literally burning everything to the ground
I've been playing a lucky pants double revolver hunter since the day destiny 2 came out.
Today? Today I feel vindicated.
Sturm, eriana's, and last word are unequivocally the 3 best choices because they don't require any actual setup, except having to wait longer for last word to reload. Sturm gets a naturally huge damage boost on its own and eriana's does too as long as you keep hitting crits. Last word's sheer rate of fire also makes it exceptional with these pants.
I would say sturm takes the top spot tho because you can get the damage boost with sturm, seamlessly switch to drang to charge up sturm again while lucky pants are on cooldown, and then switch back to sturm, and repeat
Love that I just happen to have that seventh seraph officer revolver roll and I never threw it away, totally forgot about it
Right now I'm running the NF with the revoker and these guns will always be a force to be reckoned with
Sunshot, font of might, charged with light mods, and lucky pants on bottom or middle tree gunslinger. Absolutely shreds everything.

Lumina's buff is basically the same as WoD (aka Bubble) so if you add 35% damage to everything else (assuming you use them in a fireteam with someone using Bubble) Lumina would fall behind even Thorn, just being better at solo play
I had like 3 officer revolvers in my vault and one of them was this absolute beast of a god roll when the rework dropped. Almost never took the pants off from that day, the melting you can do gives you thrills and you can use an enegy exotic too like an add clear with it. Didn't know it was the best one and you even lost one or two shots.
By the end of the video I didnt care about which HC is the best. I cared if my man got his month long chipotle
You guys should really try it with that new middle tree arcstrider buff, where doing damage after the charge melee now gives u instant reload, instead of using marksman dodge for it.
My personal experience has been with the Crimson thus far, and I gotta say, I really like it. The Crimson’s healing abilities is why I am able to consistently solo strikes, when push comes to shove, and combining it with the damage boost from Lucky Pants and the accuracy I’ve gained with the weapon over the years… it’s almost too broken of a combo, but that may be just because of how much experience I have with it. If Bungie does nerf this combo, I hope they see Lucky Pants as the problem and leave Crimson well enough alone. Melting a boss with Primaries is fun, but I can already see the nerf coming.
Have nearly the exact 7th seraph roll I’ve been saving for a year but haven’t tested it! So pumped to clap absolute cheeks with it
Btw, Malfeasance, if you have multiple players using it, the stacking debuff happens quicker! So you do even more damage in the end.

i normally use the crimson and lucky pants in pve, but the only set back with what your doing is that the crimson reloads the magazine with every precision kill, meaning it would deal more damage
If you've got the rolls, I'd love to see some other legendary HCs, mainly 180rpm's.
Deep Stone HC can roll 4th times redirection, Ikelos HC can roll triple tap vorpal, and Survivor's Epitaph can roll.. maybe rapid hit/firmly planted frenzy? even though i feel like that'll be the most underperforming.
Either way I wanna see how they hold up with 7th seraph

This is best on 180s IMO. It Freakin SLAYS against Champions and in Gambit. New HC w Harmony is reeeeeally good for this. I'm also finding the new high impact fusion with Harmony to be really good in PvE. It's kind of like charging up a special grenade launcher that fires straight and has an entire clip. I've been using this loadout in combination with Lucky Pants to destroy everything
The serpah revolver i have has reconstruction and high impact reserves. The magazine always overflowed up to 23 rounds. I run with sunshot and lucky pants, so that radiant is also active.
I have that SSOR. Exact same everything. It's a beautiful piece of hardware. 2.3k enemies defeated with a bergusian night shader. 18 rounds if you toss boss spec for backup mag. Which isn't a bad idea considering fttc. Oh and it makes warmind cells.
