Thank you so much for the video. I can't imagine how much time it took editing things together. Like others, I did notice some games high on my X68000 want list that do not appear in this video. These include: Burning Force (rail shooter), Buster (platformer), Illumination Laser (shmup) and Neural Gear (rail shooter) All except Burning Force have videos of them playing on an X68000 on YT. Regardless, thank you again.
I just wanted to say thanks for doing these videos, they're actually quite useful for looking through lesser known libraries and picking out games that look interesting. Found quite a few cool bullet hell games from these videos that I never tried before and never would have found on my own!
Such a wonderful system, it is on top of my wish list.... And will probably stay there forever since it is almost impossible to own one for a descent price....
There's emulators. I ran one of the original emulators on my 68K macs back in the day. It cost me my entire hacking/phreaking library and warez to get the emulator and games but was so worth it.
What are you talking about?! It`s not the all games. It`s FAR not the ALL of the games for the Sharp X68000. There are a LOT of puzzle/logic, quiz, JRPG, platform, strategy, visual novel and hentai games exist. Many hundreds or thousands, I think.
wow i never seen so many shmups on one platform in all my life! Some *fantastic* music soundtracks there as well. Interesting to see just how poor 90% of the 3d games were.. basically all of them besides thunderblade and afterburner.. so whoever did those had serious coding skills. But 2D arcade conversions look really great! Would love to somehow play this some day. I do have the castlevania game thankfully on my PS1 with chronicles, so there's that. Maybe I'll sell that since it's worth so much and by an X68000! hehe.
I am not trying to sell this short because you are showing off a great collection of games but it skips a lot of the visual novels and interactive adventure games (Virgin Angel & Viper V-8 Twin Turbo come to mind). Also, Marmalade Bomb is an amusing tennis-court fighter and Pizza Busters is a fun arcade style game if you come across them :)
Good looking retro computers and computers like the Color Classic, the ZX-80, Holborn, PET, Apple IIc with it's cute Apple Iic monitor, Apple Cube, Apple G5 tower, Apple iMac sunflower G4, PC-Engine, Dreamcast and it's controller + VMU. God bless, Proverbs 31
1:25:50 The footage of Ys 1 and 2 you show there is most certainly not from the x68000 version. It looks like the original PC-88 version, or possibly the PC-98 port. You should include footage of the x68000 version instead, as it looks very different and this PC-88 footage gives a wrong impression.
Actually they are most likely the homebrew ports of the PC-88 versions, the official version of YS 1 is actually there but it's misslabeled as YS II the final. I think the person that made this video just ripped videos from youtube uploads, I also doubt this is every X68000 game out there. Also the second YS game never got an official port to the X68000 and all that exists are two homebrew ports by two different groups, I'm not sure what the difference between them is though.
nah, the computer was only released in japan at the time... nobody -normal humans- from outside japan ,never heard about it in the 80s-90s including me
Most Arcades, Japanese PCs like this one and the Genesis share the same family of sound chips. Those are a little different between them but same kind of sound, FM synthesis.
For a $3,000 machine in the 80s you would think most of these games would be at least better than what a Commodore 64 could do. Seriously, most these games look like crap. Let's keep it real.

Sorry for the long comment. There’s just SO many, even for the 80s!
Thanks a lot!
Your missing a lot of games here's a couple as examples
Access Heat
Asteroid Queen
Balloon Fight
Battle City just a few of the many games you missed
you missed some, no kudos for you.
@@terencehill2320, I never even asked for it.
Guess that series must be underrated then?
I’m only asking, because it’s a hidden gem in itself.

This was the Arcade at home! but so was the Neo Geo as well.

One of the best ported version of Final Fight!
A lot of games were very close to its arcade counterparts.
Remember, it could do all of this in 1987. It was a monster of a machine back then!
Such a wonderful system, it is on top of my wish list.... And will probably stay there forever since it is almost impossible to own one for a descent price....

Excellent Video :D
Great work!
God damn this machine has some sick ass shooters

very convinient since i got the emulator running today
They look like real arcade games to me.

Imperial Force and Zavas are missing from this video. Are there more x68k games missing? Any reason why the games are missing?
Great work.
muito bom !
Olá voce sabe emular os jogos deste computador? Por favor. Infelizmente quase não tem um tutorial bem explicativo na net,

Bakuretsu. A psychedelic “SlapFight”.
Noice...
0:45 Turn off the
vacuum cleaner
ys saga... a lot of nostalgia
Back when Japan almost took PC gaming seriously :(
There's a lot of good games on here, like the Castlevania game, all the Gradius titles and the Strider port. But then you have shit like Air Hork.
Este es el amiga 500 que me habría gustado tener ...
Excellent video,

I cant find that Street Fighter game at 1:08:15 anywhere.. it's not the usual championship edition. Looks like a bootleg?
How did we cope??
X68000 melhor valis 2 que existe.
I think this collection omits games on CD...
The games look "Sharp"
Very pity at the time it was distributed only in Japan
Компьютер для леталок-стрелялок!
FINALIZADO!!
The my best game: bomberman🤣🤣🤣
What's with the screwed up sound?
Seems this computer had loads of games but I have never heard of it! maybe being from UK is the reason?
nah, the computer was only released in japan at the time... nobody -normal humans- from outside japan ,never heard about it in the 80s-90s including me
Unfortunately it was only for japanese market

Really stretching the definition of "almost".
Sharp X68000 Game Sounds like Sega Genesis?
Most Arcades, Japanese PCs like this one and the Genesis share the same family of sound chips. Those are a little different between them but same kind of sound, FM synthesis.
1:24:10 Hah, the roles are reversed from the western release
How many games are shown in the video
List?

Sooooooooooooo... Are we gonna just ignore the NSFW stuff xD

Air hork
有名ゲームメーカーとパソコンゲームメーカーのクオリティの差が大きい。。😅電波新聞は神😂
Where the H-games? 😂
Where is hydlide 3?
so many great titles but also so many awful ones :D
Literally every console ever.
Most of them are Japanese games.
Not all games. All the japanese visual novels and rpg missing. Wrong Ys. No distinction of the hombrew and the officials releases. Bad video.

Have you seen the c64 games?
