Super helpful as I am looking to develop some niche marketplaces over the next few months… assuming I can make the time outside of producing revenue now, too 😂. Looking forward to more content!
Beautiful content, Connor. You gave "pre-emptive answers" on your tool choices, however on the Airtable / Glide choice, aside from aesthetics; was it a case of the Make app for Airtable providing many more modules (API endpoints) than for Glide....? PS: your workshop is no longer available....?
Thanks for pointing out the link. It should be fixed now! Airtable is really good for managing data as the admin, but not good for when it comes to allowing your users to manage content - that is where Glide comes in. At the time of recording the video, Glide was quite limited in their endpoints as you correctly pointed out, however they have made MASSIVE in-roads over the last 2 months that solves 85% of these limitations. I think in the future, I might fully move to Glide but as of right now (Jan 19) I think the Airtable/Glide combo works best for me. Appreciate the question and good seeing you back in the comments!
Question: what’s a typical monthly cost for the needed paid versions of the different tech you recommend? I’m a glide expert so I know the pricing structure there but I don’t know all the features needed for the other platforms. Thanks for your insights!
Hey, Yes relative to the other tools I would say so. I did a complete breakdown of how much it costs to run these types of sites here: www.connorfinlayson.com/blog/the-costs-of-running-a-no-code-marketplace
Connor is the absolute 🐐 - helped build TutorLyft!
So much value in here. Seriously good content.
