- Caitlin Clark broke the rookie franchise record for assists in a single season (129) while recording a near triple-double (15 PTS, 12 AST & 9 REB), Aliyah Boston recorded her ninth consecutive game in double digits with 17 PTS, 8 REB & 4 AST) and NaLyssa Smith notched a double-double (12 PTS & 15 REB) in a thrilling 88-82 win over the Phoenix Mercury.

Boston played well tonight, getting faster on her feet. Mitchell did great, specially in the late minutes. Temi is a fighter. Clark near triple-double. Nail-biting game. Great Phoenix crowd. What a game.

I'm sure fans saw Caitlin Clark's STANDING OVATION at the end of the Mercury game. It looked like the entire 17K fans stayed to watch Caitlin leave, fans stood and applauded her! Awesome!

Clark led them back from 15 down, and as they say, the best defence is a good offence, PS they can not score when you have the ball
Sides pulled her as a defensive move, by the way, Clark had 9 Rebounds 2nd best on the night, and N Smith had 12 rebounds - PS Do not dump your best defensive player
But what really must have hurt Diana Taurasi the most was the fact that Clark walked out to a standing ovation - having your house do that is the worst way to eat crow.

Caitlin and the fever battled throughout the game. Very exciting and competitive. It felt like I was watching a game during March Madness in College. I never really watched WNBA games. However, I have been watching their entire games only when Caitlin is playing. Other then that, not interested. The Mercury team came out all barking and starting scuffles with Fever players. You have this (Caitlin) sweet innocent looking girl next door look balling and delivering beautiful passes to get her teammates involved. Fever team beat the masculine Mercury men, I mean women, with skills with women appeal.
What youth lacks in wisdom it makes up for in energy. This young Fever team just wore out those old ladies. I’m one myself and got tired just watching ! Respect to DT for handling it gracefully.
Strange how everyone keeps comparing CC to Steph when she actually plays more like Steve Nash with Steph range. If the fever wanted to change coaches they should consider Mike d’antoni or someone from his coaching tree…CC and Boston in the 8 seconds or less offense would be insane!!! Just Pick and roll’em to death…
Memo to Sides, Clark has the ball and draws two defenders, memo to Sides this means that there is a player open, memo to Sides, Clark gets the ball to them and guess what PTS are on the board.
CC is the ONLY reason we are watching. Keep her healthy she is the reason wnba will be getting more money next year.

This is how you make teams pay for all the double teams on Clark….you make them pay by hitting your open shots…i laugh at the other teams playing awful team defense because they face guard Clark instead of being in help position…this team is so much better when they get at least 4 players in double figures….great team win and fantastic 2nd half defense !,
