if we are assigning Emp object into Person then it should be easily decided at compile time itself that it has reference of Emp class not Person class....then how it is run time polymorphism? Anyone, please elaborate.
Run time polymorphism means, if we create an object of a Person with the reference of Emp, then the method call is decided at runtime, means method will be called of the object type not reference type
@@statuszone6499 but I think we already told the compiler that I am assigning Emp type object to Person reference variable....that is what we have coded...right?
@@AmitChauhan-fv5mf if we overloading the method, so the method call will be decided based on the reference, but in overriding the method call decide based on the objects. You just try it practically by creating two class.

Let me tell you how it happens, see you are saying that the compiler already knows which object we are creating as we are mentioning the name of the class, like
Person person = new Ram();
So you're trying to say that we have already told the compiler that the object is of Ram type then how can it be a run time thing.
The simple answer to this question is that whenever you use "new" keyword then it implies that it is something which will be created at the runtime and dynamically and that's the reason why it becomes a runtime thing and not the compile time thing.
"New" keyword itself means something new will be created at the runtime and something which is still not created can never be understood by the compiler in advance.

Sir, when you type Person person = new Emp (); what it really means suppose if we think that address of the emp class object stored in person class object then Why Base Class Can't Call Derived Class Functions with Different Names.
It's a question of Microsoft Team and company rejected 20 students in runtime polymorphism question.

Sir I am working in Company but still i need to cover many java topics , core , and advance java, Mysql,Mongo. no time to practide logic , Competative, cloud , is this common for all or am the only one, or shud i take a break of 1 year get expertised and join some company
This is not common for everyone but if you don't know these basics then also it won't be hard to learn these in a short period of time, just spend some time on learning and gradually you will understand.
This is common only for non IT background students for those who completed their btech or bca by computer science branch don't face any problems because they have already studied topics which are necessary to become a software engineer.
But don't try to quit your job instead learn these topics.

I watched lot of videos, all tells what is method overriding and how we achieve it, but nobody tells why we need it, why we need same method in child class which is in parent class. Disappoint here as well.
