On the topic of the jacked rabbit thumbnail, I actually like when the thumbnail/title is different from what you're actually drafting. It makes the actual draft process more entertaining when I don't know the end product already.
I've never felt that a card (or three) gives away a whole draft. I know where you're coming from but there's also a lot of folks who are more likely to watch (or not) a video if they think it fits an archetype they like. There's no winning as a content creator though. You can never please everyone!
@@bradyconnorI personally really dislike spoiling undefeatedness. But then again, I watch everything from creators I like and I respect the hustle if it increases revenue.
As someone who has played a hundred million mid range games but has never gotten to experience vintage or legacy powered storm, I am clicking on storm vids 100% of the time and mid range 0% so being transparent is pretty important for me
By the way, Thespian Stage is a lot of value with Urza's Saga, would have been worth it on the wheel in pack three. Since the saga *gives* abilities to itself instead of just *having* abilities, you can copy a different land after chapter two so it doesn't go away and just permanently have a land that produces constructs. Love your videos by the way! Thanks for the content!
@@Waghabond That is a fair point. I was a little worried about timetwister *technically* being part of the original power nine and mana tithe *technically* not being part of the power nine (because it wasn't printed in Alpha).
I usually wait to comment, but I must say that at 14:58, you are deciding between Coveted Jewel and Basalt Monolith, while I'm looking desperatly at how good Phelia looks, for me it's 100% the pick there
MTGO servers were absolutely freaking out over the weekend. Fortunately, they fixed it. Super enjoyable video as always Caleb! I finally bit the bullet and started learning MTGO. Hopefully, I'll catch you out there one day!
Re: Jacked Rabbit, I had just assumed that the thumbnail was excitement over another cube creature with cute round energy. Which has me thinking the round creatures are great but its not the rounder the better right? Like Brushwag is no Goldspan which has me thinking Is it how round they are compared to how round you expect it to be? Having said that I love me some Bebles (bubbling and bursting) Doorkeeper and Referee Squad but I think that they have a different appeal.
I always stand by Azorius Artifacts being really good. It's the first deck I trophied with, where it was basically "Watch Shirokai destroy all for three rounds straight" and is the league that made me fall in love with Shirokai.
0:40 I have been saying this for YEARS. It DOES more than any card in MtG for its mana cost. Lotus, Ancestral, Walk are all fantastic cards, but they don't DO anything; they enable you to do a thing. And no, Natural Order is not the same or even remotely comparable.
The three you listed make nearly (since two need blue) any deck just better. They're more versatile, fit in more decks etc. but tinker is truly powerful when built around and probably the most powerful card when built around. So I get the argument from both sides.
Tinker doesn’t DO anything, it enables you to do a thing. Yeah tinker is pretty strong when you’re using it to get a citadel. Black lotus is even stronger when you’re using it to cast underworld breach lmao
Ok, maybe I’m wrong here, but 30 seconds into the video you state tinker as being your favorite card ever? Wouldn’t that distinction go to mana tithe or tubby dragon?😂
You mention often how there's no first player advantage in your game, maybe you could explain more? Would be helpful to explain your game mechanics in the context of MTG while you're playing.

Understandable. But I would also approve of all thumbnails containing Jacked Rabbit or Goldspan dragon from now on
I like pausing and predicting picks and notable mentions, so the jacked rabbit thumbnail into not taking it was fun for me.

While good, it's very mana intensive to set that one up.
Caleb showing off his cube skillz even without a real piece of power or mana tithe.
You don't need to say "piece of power or mana tithe". mana tithe is a piece of power
@@Waghabond That is a fair point. I was a little worried about timetwister *technically* being part of the original power nine and mana tithe *technically* not being part of the power nine (because it wasn't printed in Alpha).
That plan you concocted around 34:00 doesn't work because Tamiyo can't buy back a spell the turn she flips.

At 51:12, you could have cast overloaded Winds of Abandon by tapping the construct. All good though you were in a solid position anyway.
Ghost vacuum is really good, I think you should give it a chance.
Lag has been bad for me too. I think it's just the MTGO servers are being slow. Love the videos, keep them up!

2:20 "I was just very excited about the art of Jacked Rabbit." OwO?
1:48 Oath is still one of the best decks in vintage

In OG old school Magic, if you won the die roll, you not only went first, you still drew your first card!
Stage can copy Urza's Saga and then later copy another land and it keeps the abilities without being sacrificed.
Excellent!
Sick trophy!!!!
Happy new years!
Missed your uploads!
The jacked rabbit tease is starting to hurt my soul 😢
It's fun to second guess your pick decisions. I don't know that I'm any more an expert on mono white tinker than you are.
Love your content as always.
21:27 Do you not just cast staff here? You get 2 counters from making karnstructs
peak value indeed
The Jitte hate comes from LSV being super down on it.
You should play jacked rabbit soon he’s actually pretty fantastic in the aggro decks!
Do you have any idea when algomancy will be out to buy? Pretty excited to try it
Thanks for the formal apology for jacked rabbit.
Anyway, not picking him *again* is against the jackiens, so unsubscribed.
/s, welcome back, goat

@@wizardsmix7961 You’re either extremely dense and don’t understand what I mean, or you’re intentionally being contrarian. I’m guessing the latter.
By the same logic shouldn't something like reanimate or animate dead be considered more powerful than tinker?

I miss you!
1:50 Oath is still winning vintage tournaments!
Was just coming down to say this!

I have a lot of favorites, all context dependant. Tinker is my favorite "competitive" card
@ Good to have you back posting content!
Force mono white for a draft (even though jacked rabbit is good in big mana decks in general I just want to see the boy)
Blightsteel was trolling you for cutting him
🎉
Everyone I watch has been complaining about lag on mtgo recently. Idk what the cause is but I doubt it’s on your end.
That's good to know. It was genuinely miserable for quite a while
Magic Online is lagging for everyone, not just you, rest assured! It's been like this for at least a month but maybe longer.
@9:40 peops complaining about Jitte seem to just parrot LSV - who tends to draft questionable decks at best in the last year or so
That makes sense. Dude doesn't know the power of Jitte
@@CalebGannon who's that guy anyways? :)
