Thank you for sharing. This video shows what Lincoln used to be. I was shocked by the competitors to the Continental. You miss Lincoln having models like these in 2022. Lincoln is all suv's in 2022 except in China. Good video.

Lincoln had a great lineup in the ‘90s. A traditional American luxury car with the body on frame Town Car, a modern mid-size luxury sedan which was greatly improved by 1995, and a high-tech personal luxury showpiece with the ‘93 Mark VIII

@@91Taurus Correct. Too bad Lincoln Mark VIII was not in the video. I liked Mark VIII.

I hate how all modern vehicles have ‘sport’ suspensions. We don’t drive on race tracks, we drive on sh*tty roads with potholes, therefore would like comfortable suspension

Having ridden in Cadillacs and Lincolns, the Lincoln Town Cars are the superior luxury car. Smoother ride, quieter, more reliable, and easier to work on when repairs are needed. Just like their old slogan: What a luxury car should be.

II'm a diehard Cadillac enthusiast, but even I have to confess that the Town Car was flawless, and drove quieter and smoother than any Cadillac of the same year. Everything about the Town Car was buttery smooth. The 1993 Continental was my favorite of the two Lincolns, even though it would prove to be very unreliable as it aged. I remember the microprocessor-controlled air suspension being hugely problematic. Many owners replaced the air suspension with conventional shocks because of air bag leakage, and the overall unreliability of the system. The Town Car was bulletproof though.

I had a 1990 Continental I bought in 2001 with 40k original miles. I had to replace rear air bags for suspension Lincoln dealer wanted to 2k to fix. My friend and I did it took a couple days the lol. But I loved that car. Another problem was they put 3.8 liter in it so it was a dog. But that car was so ahead of its time. This is when they were really trying to get techy to compete with German cars at the time.

This was when Lincoln made comfy good looking cars. Not everyone wants an SUV. Ford should take a hint from BMW, Mercedes and Acura. Some people still want a luxury CAR!

Lincoln must have reviewed the Rockwell retro encabulator and said hire this man.

A luxury buyer would either love it for it's big soft none offensive OLD luxury feel. Or the other buyer would hate it because its not even in the same class as BMW or Benz or even the Cadillac STS really.

100% the ‘88-94 Continental was super unreliable. Bad transmission, underpowered engines that ate head gaskets and the air suspensions

Lincoln might have caught up to Cadillac’s sales faster had they actually known what models they were competing against. They show a discontinued 92 Brougham instead of a 93 Fleetwood and call it a Sedan DeVille, they then show a Sedan DeVille and call it a Brougham, and they then show a Sixty Special and call it a Fleetwood. This Town Car’s only real apples-to-apples competitor, the 93 Fleetwood, is never actually shown or mentioned!

I'm confused. Cadillac says it's better and Lincoln says it's better and I just don't know what to think.
