    I feel obligated to comment back to you about this. My father in law passed away 3 months ago unexpectedly and we have been going through his estate. He has a Long 350 which has needed some love for a while. Your video is the only one I could find on this topic for the UTB tractors specifically and I'm incredibly grateful for you for documenting this repair. I was ready to give up hope on fixing his tractor and instead, you've allowed me to carry on a tangible reminder of my father in law every time I fire it up. So again, thank you sir!

Looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything on this. Last night ran across this video. Exactly what I needed. Just fixed my AC5050 3 pt. hydraulic lift by cleaning the stuck valve piston. Had to make a spacial tool to break the stuck piston. Screw driver would not turn it. After I got it out and cleaned it I noticed there was a small hole in the center which had a 8MM fine thread. At least a 3" long screw would assist you in pulling the piston with ease.Your U-tube presentation solved my problem. I also bought the tractor with issues and knew nothing about this tractor. Am very impressed with the 55 HP Fiat Allis Chalmers tractor. Thank you very much for the help. Now have leaks in left side rocker shaft and lift arm to fix.

    I've been looking for a channel like this for a LONG (no pun intended) time. I've got a UTB 640 and the 3-point hitch hasn't worked since I got the tractor 5 years ago. I know my pumps are good because the loader works so I'm going to try this easy fix today. Before I start, I don't think this is my problem- on my tractor, the raise/ lower lever moves freely up and down with no resistance so I think something is broken in the mechanism itself, maybe a pin missing or something inside the housing. If you have a video of the lift lever mechanism- as in, disassembly/ rebuild, I'd be real happy to see it. Gonna search your channel before I go any further. Thanks a ton,
    Pat

      Should be a short crescent shaped lever below the lift quadrant. It only has two positions... this is the draft control engagement lever. Try moving it to its opposite position and see if the hydraulics work. If it works in draft, then your lift will either go full up or full down.... no intermediate position control. If this works then most likely a roller or cam follower is out of adjustment inside the rockshaft assembly. (not a hard fix, just heavy). Or the Valve talked about in this video is the culprit. (draft control bypasses that valve)

      No movement in any position with the levers, tried every position. I didn't get around to checking that valve today, tied up with other tasks. On it first thing tomorrow if we don't get snow. If I send you some pix or a short video of what I'm dealing with, can you advise from there? It's almost impossible to find good info on these tractors and the manuals are poorly translated so not much help there. I do think I'm dealing with a mechanical issue in the lift mechanism itself as mentioned above, as I can raise and lower the lever and there is no resistance at all, like something is busted inside.

    I bought a non running UTB 350 Long tractor last year and wondering how different is it to change pistons and sleeves in chassie? I had to replace the pump and injectors and got it to run, but it has what sounds like to me is a piston slapping the head on the last cylinder back it’s a Fiat 3 cylinder and 1974 thru 1976 model and everything else works on the old girl good tires but the knock sounds scary but it runs and drives fine but not sure if I can do it without separation of the front of the tractor and would like your opinion on the matter I’m a 75 year old and 99% have to do things by myself without any help and not sure if I want to attempt that much work on the old tractor, as stated everything works ok on it and it would never bring the money to cover the repairs I already have in it, and help or advise would come in handy right now. Turkish is most common and cheapest and good quality. Also be sure to get the Power Steering pump. My three-point hitch was working before and after working on my control valve manifold, the hitch will not go up or down as if there is no hydraulic pressure. I did add hydraulic oil to the reservoir because it was way low. I can pick up the three point levers in the back and the arms go up and down easily. Just dead! I hope there is nothing too seriously wrong. Is there such a thing as removing air form the hydraulic system

    • @AtlastaFarM
      @AtlastaFarM  12 дней назад

      Not really as far as air... but also make sure the draft control lever is not activated. If you worked on the lever quadrant at all it is very eSy to have the draft engaged which will make your hydro system act wonky. What would cause fluid to leak out of this valve? I was likely putting too much weight on the 3pt and noticed fluid coming out of this valve. Now the 3pt is stuck in the up position even with the lift lever pushed all the way forward. Does this sound like a stuck valve or something more serious? Also wondering if I just need to add some fluid to it. If the fluid level got too low would it cause the 3pt to stop working?

    • @AtlastaFarM
      @AtlastaFarM  Месяц назад +1

      Fluid can leak out of there.If there is too much weight .. it is a relief valve Which is the intended outcome . As far as it's staying up, There is a secondary lever below your regular control levers. It is curved it looks like it wraps around the control lever box that is your draft control. You may want to make sure that lever is in the correct position. In one position it allows normal up down position control and in the other position is draft which will be either fully raised or fully lowered

      I am going to guess its stuck the usual way I have dealt with in the past, so we will go with this fix.... spray the pivot point of the handle with some sort of penetrant, WD40 is worthless in my opinion but I will admit it can possibly help in this case... I would try a more industrial penetrant like PB Blaster or NutsOff etc. Then take a large plier or knuckle buster, adjustable wrench... whatever you can get on it as close to the pivot point as possible and attempt to work it back and forth. I have in the past just man handled the handle and at the same time used a decent hammer to tap the pivot point in the direction im pushing/pulling.(with finesse... meaning - be forceful but dont go medevil on it), Once it starts to move, soak the pivot point with a good carb cleaner, or ether(starting fluid). This will work the dry grease out of the pivot shaft. Usually its just dirt and grime mixed with the grease that has dried from lack of use that makes them stick.

      If this model has a hydraulic ram on the main steering shaft... then the sensor is the issue... (sensor is the stud like a ball joint or tie rod that connects the cylinder to the drag link/shaft) It is a simple adjustment mechanism.. Just like doing a vehicle steering alignment!! Does it make any sort of humming or buzzing sound when it's lifting?
      If it is noisy the first place to look would be the strainer/filter. If you don't know where that is look for the horizontal tube about 3 in in diameter on the right hand side of the engine lower portion. On the back end of it closest to the operator station will be a cap with two bolts. Pop it off pull the strainer out and it should be a metal strainer that you can clean and reuse. When you check the filter if it is a very whitish creamy looking oil you may have too high a concentration of water in the system which will cause the same issue as a clogged filter. Just respond with your findings and we'll move on from there.

The front loader works as it should but the three point hitch will raise and lower nice with no weight on it but when I have the bush hog attached, I have to rev the engine to get it to lift. Any help is greatly appreciated

      @@john8649 it would be hard to diagnose not knowing what kind of loader or at least how the loader is attached to the hydraulics. If it's attached to the factory secondaries it's possible that it's not a power beyond port and you need to flip a lever. It's also possible that they could have spliced into the hard lines and your loader is taking all the hydraulic volume and not leaving enough for the three-point

    love the vid . i have a 2260 long same problem. it will try to raze 3 point but then not all the way. I am draining hydro oil it was milky. Dose the plug under the tranny drain all the hydraulic oil? There is another plug towards the rear end, do I drain it too? if so does it all fill from the same location?

      Just an epiphany, there is a lever behind the lift controls that goes in two positions, either up or down.. this is the draft control engagement. Many times it is in the on position and will restrict the movement of the lift like you mention.

      there are a few different designs and off the top I cant remember them all.. however the most common place.. when sitting in the operators seat.. right hand side below right leg.. usually snuggled between a hard hydraulic line and the transmission case where it meets the rear end. if its original it will have a steel loop to pull
