USA still has the deepest bench in this league!!! Like literally, everyone can perform. Coach K is always having a feast with his talents.
They have many great players because of their population. Hope they will improve their records in world championships and add their Olympic gold.
Italy as well I think. They have Nwakalor, Egonu and Antropova in the opposite. Plus a lot of promising young talents back there, both men's and women's.

Ok but can we talk about the differences between the Turkey and Japan broadcasts? I don't know if Turkey really doing a great job or Japan is terrible at it.

differences in what sense?
It seems to me that the matches disputed in Japan are taken with a bad camera. Meanwhile, Türkiye’s cameras are so good quality. The images are very clear and the colours brighter, all looks more professional.

we cannot measure the actual strength of the two teams at this time. in the USA there are still plummer, thompson, washington etc. in italy there is still egonu, and best player 2023 anthropova.
if you want to see their strength, we will see the highest level tournament (Olympics).
Orro, Malinov and DeGennaro as well. This libero was very weak for Italy. There is also Pietrini and Bosetti to help outside
I read a lot of comment saying 'italy B vs Usa A' or 'italy without Egonu is a failure' and I laugh a lot! This is not the italy's B team, this is a young italy. Plus, the Usa don't have win with peace or with extremly radical set, so look at the game and not at the team pls, beacause the path is long and the obstacole are a lot😉
Sono le ragazzette della nostra nazionale. Ci sta che perdano. La cosa che me fa più ride sono gli americani che mettono a confronto le loro giocatrici con Paola, Moki e le altre 😂 Le nostre titolari sono molto più forti delle loro. Perlomeno lo scorso anno.

This USA team looks good. Karch found some GOOD OH's. They add a real tempo to this team. Love it.
After the first set I thought USA was going to win 3-0 but I'm glad Italy came back (even if they lost). Bosio's ball distribution was not good in critical moments, she needs more experience and she'll gain it next year in Novara. I would have sub Battistoni in, at least she led Novara to the Champions League's semifinal. USA has such a deep roster, they have so many OH. Their college system to me is the best, they really form and prepare future volleyball players. Pity they don't have a professional league of their own because they have so many talents.
The cameraman team in Antalya is better than Nagoya. Good angle and good shot

Obviously the Italian coach is scrambling the new generation lay out leaving only Sylla and Danesi as veterans on court. In the meantime, Nwakalor as per Egonu substitute as well as the younger girls alike are doing great but need to be more consistent. They nearly had team USA, well done on coming back from 2 sets down Stay strong Italy 💚🤍❤

I think Dana Rettke makes the Olympic Club with a lot of playing time. Height, as they say in the NBA, can't be taught but she is a skilled receiver and server besides being a great middle blocker. Way to go Dana.

How would you know she's a skilled receiver as a MB? She literally never serve receives.
Good sub for Ogbugo and Washington, 4th if Akinradewo is there. Not much power in attacks.

Most people use the term 2 sets down when a team is losing 2-0, but I guess they were losing 2-1 and had lost 2 straight sets so I guess I see what u mean??
not to mention they played NEWCOMERS and people like Dana and Morgan who have been there before but weren't selected in the roster for the final weeks of VNL. its amazing what our B team can do

With so many young new faces on the team, it's extremely impressive of the USA to beat both Serbia (#1 in the world) AND Italy (last year's champions). I'm almost shocked. Most of these girls graduated college last year or 2 years ago.

This Italian team is not Italy's A team, only 2 players are.
The rest is young new players (exactly like the USA). I was amazed this Italian team could have won 2 sets.
No offense to the players, but in paper this team USA is stronger.
Almost the same could be said for Serbia, lacking important players at this moment.

Rettke is tall but she does not have the killer instinct in the front court.
It's because she's still young and still needs to get more exposures and international experiences.
Blame it to coach karch who is not a fan of quick middle attact when US is on system.... even the setter has mediocre skill when using the middle...
@@rangelesproduction Is it Karch's fault or he just doesn't have the tools to work with? You cannot run a quick middle spike when the middle blocker position cannot execute that play.

All'Italia manca sempre una schiacciatrice stabile e completa che possa aiutare Egonu. Omoruyi - che è ancora molto giovane e deve migliorare tantissimo (alterna buone giocate a disattenzioni banali) - secondo me può rientrare nel roster dell'Europeo come quarta schiacciatrice. In futuro avrà sicuramente un ruolo più importante (se continua a crescere..).

Giusto fare giocare le ragazzette sennò non miglioreranno mai. Mazzanti sta praticamente giocando senza squadra (tolte Danesi e Sylla). La cosa che fa ridere sono gli americani che celebrano una grande vittoria contro le riserve italiane mettendo sullo stesso piano le loro giocatrici titolari con gente come Egonu, De Gennaro o la Orro. 😂
Le nostre riserve hanno bisogno di diventare grandi.
Spero di sbagliarmi ma da questa VNL alla fine dei salmi arriverà una schiacciatrice di riserva (Omoruyi?), una palleggiatrice di riserva vista la crisi di Malinov (Bosio o Battistoni) e Antropova, sempre che arrivi questo benedetto passaporto!

This is my honest opinion: The USA team needs a center quick hitter, stronger side hitters, and especially better blockers to face China and Turkey and Poland. These teams have tall and formidable hitters like Vargas, Li Y.Y., Stysiak...and play a very good defense. This young USA team is very good but it needs a few more years to learn before they can do something memorable in a tournament as important as this one. My bet this year is Poland
