Remember when people thought the BIG was gonna be too physical, and people weren’t sure if we would adapt to the style of play well. Those days seem long gone
Had Oregon made the move a few years ago (prior to Cristobal) it might have been true. Like him or not, Cristobal did bring in some great O & D-linemen that made Oregon more physical. Lanning has only added to that, esp on the defensive side of the ball.
@@mic982 I agree 100% Trust me I have gone toe to toe with Duck fans defending Mario. He changed our program in the trenches and was the first one to bring big boy recruiting to the O. He’s a good coach, and I appreciate what he did for the program
@@Brandontheduck Yeah, he did and look at where his Miami team is now. I see Miami resurging due to three factors: Mario's recruiting, Cam Ward's transfer and a favorable schedule. I too got excoriated by some fans on the FishDuck blog even tho I did not defend his ditching the Ducks for the 'Canes. It was purely understandable, tho, given he was a former Cane himself and he took a job he's likely to be in for as many years as they'll have him. Who knows, we might end up playing them sometime down the road in the Playoffs.
Let's beat Maryland, Wisconsin and Washington before we talk about the B1G championship game. While the Ducks will be favored in those games, they still have to win them.
I'm a big fan of Dan Lanning but I gotta say (to his question) Who Cares? We do, a lot of us fans. We care because being ranked #1 helps tremendously with recruiting. It helps tremendously with getting favorable media coverage. It helps with getting a better seed in the Playoff (though being #4 might actually be better) and it helps with filling Autzen stadium with more fans. It should see 60,000+ every game, not just when Ohio State shows up.
I was so confused at the game why Oregon was calling a timeout instead of just running the clock out at the end of the 4th. So cool to see in ducks vs them the purpose behind it
Ducks are going to have to beat Ohio State again, in Indianapolis, before they can enter the playoff. A bye would be helpful. It's going to be a heavy lift. I am hopeful, however. I am incredibly impressed with the effort and focus thus far.
They’ll get into the playoff regardless, assuming they go in undefeated. But yeah, bye in the first round would be great. Shoot, they might stay top 4 of their only loss is in the conf title game against a top 3 team they already beat
Only if they beat Indiana. Right now, that game may be a toss-up. Indiana, while having a somewhat favorable schedule, is still a team on a roll, just like the Ducks. Oregon vs Indiana is certainly possible.
At this stage, since everything hinges on rankings which are always very subjective, I can't think of another scenario that wouldn't be controversial to some degree.
To be honest the sweet spot is actually the 2 or 3 seed, as the 1 seed yes we get the 8 or 9 in the quarterfinals, but in the semifinal as of right now would face the winner of the 4 or 5 seed and as of right now 5 seed would be the number 2 ranked Ohio st by the playoff ranking, where as 2 seed we would possibly face the 3 seed or the 6 seed which obviously are ranked lower so a slightly easier path
I don't know if it would be prudent to have Bryant Jr. returning punts when he just gets back. Maybe after a couple games and he has some hard hits in the offense.
Almost nobody. Urban Meyer believes Ohio St is #1 (of course, he may be biased) and there are some in the SEC who think the #1 position always belongs to the best SEC team - regardless of record.
Indiana can score with the best of them. Ohio State needs to kick the offense up a notch. If they think they can score 21 points and win like they did vs Nebraska or Penn State they have a L headed their way
Superstitious? Me too. In fact wifey bought me a huge "O" decal for my back windows in my truck but I won't put it on because they had won 6 games at the time and I didn't want to change anything. RIDICULOUS huh?
Indiana def should be number 2 at least 3 and we should be number1 but my thing is would we be number 1 with a lose but i think the target is not painted very big i dont think
Not number two. They could be that good, but we haven't seen them against a loaded team yet. They may get out athleted in send crucial areas. Like the long of scrimmage. They shouldn't be number 8, though!

Keep up the hard work, a first round-by in football is huge factor, for extra healing time.
Absolutely.
Thanks for giving us all something to focus on other than the…other news from yesterday.
Shout out Gladiator. GREAT movie. I think I was like 13 when I watched lol😂 hope you well Spencer! Go Ducks!!!
SCO (I'm doing well, thanks for asking)

Dan took a timeout just so the cameras could get a shot of the stadium going empty. That's next level mind games. 💀

I was watching the game wondering why Gabriel was putting his thumbs down 😂😂
Like, my boy bold out here 😂😂
FEBU!!! Where can I get a shirt.
I bet if you google FEBU Oregon shirt something will come up
@ awesome thanks for the link, kinda. But that will work👍 Sco ducks FEBU!!
I would love to hear your take on the CFP format and how you would rather have it. I have mixed feelings about it just as everyone does.

6-team sounds better to me.

I MADE IT IN DUCKS VS THEM ! my life is complete 🙌🏾🦆
… just when you think you’re on top you realize the fiancé bought guac w/ tomatoes in it 😡 taking the engagement ring back
YOOOOOOOO

Oregon is here to stay
I’m superstitious like that too it’s almost exactly 1/decade Oregon plays in the NC and this is the year…
Reason I care about it is that not only is it awesome but there’s nobody out there that is disputing it!
Almost nobody. Urban Meyer believes Ohio St is #1 (of course, he may be biased) and there are some in the SEC who think the #1 position always belongs to the best SEC team - regardless of record.
Dang. My ravens caught a nasty stray 😭
Hahaha sorry about that
Peace Spencer

Sorry Maryland, haha. Go Ducks!
👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 #Ducks vs Them🔥🔥🔥
That definitely feels like an Oregon win there is a bunch of bad calls and missed kicks. Oregon wins handily next time against Ohio St.
I don't wanna play ohio again
...because they are playing against the refs also. They are the darlings of the powers that be.
I agree, no more Ohio State
Maybe you don’t want to play them but this Oregon team doesn’t care who they play. They want the next team up.
@@youngcocai5974 why? They haven’t looked good since we played them
@Brandontheduck man I get nervous with The Ducks this time of the year
Superstitious? Me too. In fact wifey bought me a huge "O" decal for my back windows in my truck but I won't put it on because they had won 6 games at the time and I didn't want to change anything. RIDICULOUS huh?
NOT AT ALL

Everyone cares !!
The whole nation cares!
🦆🦆☝️☝️☝️☝️😄
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?? Put that on a shirt
You'll have to clear that one with Universal Studios (or whomever made the movie) first.
It's a great day... Make Ducks great again.
