For summer, you can work up to 29 hours or 40hours depending on the college/university for on-campus job. Some people work cash jobs in summer but I do not know that much about that because it’s kind of illegal for F1 students working without work permit.

Hello, yes, one thing is you must take at least 12 credits as an international F1 student. I am not sure how much is your school fees, so it depends. If it costs 5000, it will be 10000 for two semesters and for other 5000 you can use for your necessities. However, if it is like 7000 or 6000, maybe not. Your parents have to support you. Mostly, that amount(15K) totally covers for one semester. As if you plan to live with relatives, you can save rent fees a lot which is really good. I hope you find this a bit helpful.

I can get 125+ scores i. Duolingo but the problem is I haven't finished high school. What should I do, finishe high school or apply for GED. That's great! What is that part-time job? Legally, you can only work on-campus for 20 hours a week at college. Maybe your friend job is under table job? But many students are working like that to pay tuition fees. If you do not go to your college when you arrive here, your visa status will be suspended. Mostly, community college costs starting around from 4000 per semester at cheap rate and higher. That is only for school fees, you will have some other expenses too. You can search the college fees easily at their websites. Hope that helps!

Please make sure they will really support you when you are here in the US and ask them in detail becauseI’ve heard many things like- when you come here in the US, it is different than they said before. What do you mean by ‘how many days do you have to work’? For on-campus jobs, you can work 20 hours a week depending on your schedules and your line manager.. It’s not like 5 days a week or 3 days a week. On campus jobs are open to all students in the college, so do not worry about your age, you just have to have skills that they want, but I am not sure about off-campus job criteria which is illegal for an international student. There are many international student teenagers like you who are studying here too. So, don’t worry about your English, you will be fine. You can do it!
You said that I have to work 20 hours a week. What I want to say is that if I do 20 hours a week, will I get it? For example, I have to work 6 or 7 hours a day. If I do 4 days in 7 days and complete 20 hours, I have to start again from the next week without continuing the next days.

oh for sure, at first when you study at the university, you can start working on campus which means you can only work at the university/college. You can work as a lab assistant or tutoring (related to your major), then you will become having connections after that and find more suitable part time jobs. So, don't worry about that. You just have to try your best on your studies and make connections as much as you can. For GED and IELTS scores, it depends on the university that you will apply for, but the higher, the better and you can even get scholarship if your scores are high enough. For IELTS, it would be good if you get 6 at least and for GED probably 165 or higher but as I said before it depends on the university that you apply for. Some universities have the requirements like you should get x amount of score in each skill/subject. Hope this helps! You can do it!! 🦾

@@user-hx5do7qf2q yes, you have to do a lot of research online. But, yes scholarship for international students is rare and even if we get it, it may/not covered fully. Thus why you have to do research a lot. plus you should ask education consultation services too. Some educational services even have free consultation session. If you use facebook, you can search a lot on that. According to some people I know, they said GED is easier than IGCSE as it has only 4 subjects. So, you should consider it too. Hope this helps! Keep going, you are on the right track!
