Aww my gosh❣️ I made this cake last night, and is the best chocolate cake I ever bake. The texture is so soft and velvety that it melt in your mouth. The ganache is so good. To be honest this cake you can eat it without the icing, that how good it is. Husband is very happy 😊❣️
Last week I was going to bake a sourcream pound cake, but at the end I did a buttermilk blueberry pound cake 😋. I still have the sourcream, and I was thinking what I want to bake this weekend🤔 and you posted this delicious recipe 😋. Well chocolate pound cake it is. 😊. My husband have a sweet tooth, so I always have a cake, pound cake or cookies. When I don't bake, he starts like a child that there is nothing to eat 😅.
Oh wow! What good timing! I hope you y’all love it. 😊 And that comment about your husband 🤣🤣. Mine gets that way when there’s no chocolate in the house. 🤣
So, about two weeks ago, I decided to become a cake magician, and voila! Perfect cake. My daughter, being the cake enthusiast she is, requested another masterpiece. Now, this is where my cake saga takes a comedic turn. The first time, I played the cocoa powder detective, measuring it diligently because I had one container running on empty and another ready for action. Fast forward to today, and I've got this 8oz cocoa powder container, thinking "Hey, 8oz equals 1 cup, right?" Wrong! Note to self: always measure, even if you think you've got the ounces-to-cups conversion nailed. Facepalm moment, folks. Result? My batter decided to hit the gym and got super thick. So, like any baker in a pinch, I decided to loosen it up with a splash of coffee. Because, you know, coffee makes everything better, even cake batter that's trying to be a rebel. Now, the plot twist - it's not as sweet as the first cake. Sweet tooth enthusiasts, beware! I, on the other hand, appreciate the subtle sweetness. Daughter's reaction pending - fingers crossed she's on board with the less-sweet revolution. Lesson of the day: don't assume 8oz equals 1 cup in the world of cocoa powder. Measure it, unless you're into surprise challenges. Oh, and if you're like me and prefer your cakes less sweet, join the experimental journey to pound/bundt cake paradise. Who knew baking could be such an adventure?
Oh dear…that is definitely a cocoa powder saga there. Well at least you have a sense of humor about it and that it’s still edible! 🤣 Baking experiments are fun, aren’t they? 🤣

Thanks for sharing! I am the cake baker in my family and I was searching for a good moist chocolate cake recipe for my uncle... I'll be using yours!😊
Beautiful ❤
Made the cake. Literally just poured the chocolate on top. Hubby is drooling over it. I will let ya know how that goes.
The cake looks terrific! What size, i.e. how many cups, Bundt pan did you use in the video? Thank you.
Not sure how many cups the pan holds but it’s just a standard size 9-inch bundt pan.
Imma make it. 👩
