Beautifully presented. I visited the Metropolitan Museum three years ago and was blown away !! It was very exciting ,educational and heartwarming !! I'm ready to visit there again💕
It was a wonderful presentation and made me want to learn much more. My aunt did this fine work; we are Italian. I will be sharing this with my family.
@@metmuseum The family is from a small town in Calabria called San Vito sullo Ionio. There was crochet, of course, but also real lace-making. I will make sure not to miss the examples when I come back to the exhibit!
Love these little introductions to different sections of the museum. Not sure if I will be ever able to visit so I truly appreciate to be able to have a little look at its collections. Thanks!

Saw her live in London at the Dress Historians conference in 2019 and she was superb. Love her lace passion and how she puts all that into the MET.
Absolutely awesome, I have done some needlelace and it is really time consuming. These pieces were amazing, thank you.
