RUclips Algorithm apparently give subscription a MUCH less weight when recommending videos, instead focusing more on recent watch history. You can have someone in your subscriptions but never watch them and get none of them in the feed, or watch a lot of someone you didn't subscribe to and get every one of their videos in the feed
