Looking forward to a fanedit that removes the musical numbers and changing the ending that explains when the sequence of him running away in the psyciatric ward as an older Arthur in Joker 2019 takes place.
The animation sequence at the beginning was one of the most important bits of the film. Establishing the themes of the film, the shadow Arthur created and the consequences that come from it. It basically plays out the story of the film in retrospect. Are you just not a fan of animation? I didn't get that bit when you were walking back in and it's a bad sign. The animation itself was gorgeously made.
Making sure you fellas are gonna take in “We Live In Time” this month? One of my most anticipated for rest of the year. Not going to watch Joker 2, ever. I’m good.
So I watched this movie today and thought it was HORRIBLE. Like Austin said, it was only 45 minutes of story, but it dragged into 2 hours of boredom. I like musicals, and even the music in this wasn’t any good. It was a jukebox musical where none of the songs were even interesting or made any sense. I wasn’t a fan of the first, although I thought Phoenix deserved his Oscar for it. This movie made the first one look like the Godfather it was so bad. And it wasn’t even poorly made like a Madame web. You have a movie here that cost a ton, and was still just that bad. If my friend didn’t go with me, I honestly would’ve left the theater after an hour.

Same. Same.
