The end of an era. I dont see it ending well for DT. They’ve been a regular on my shopping list for many years, mostly for the fun of it.
I can see the writing on the wall. Just like The .99 cent store and 5 and below, The Dollar tree will also continue to get rid of the Dollar twenty five items and bring in higher items until there are very few items for the lower price point. They already are selling some of their 1.25 items for 3.00. Pretty sure I will just go there less and less as time goes on. Hate to see this happen!

Imo it’s to keep up with inflation. Sad its come to this.
They are slowly turning into their other store Family Dollar. Ill keep shopping there as long as it meets my needs .
Still a lot of great finds for LESS then most other stores. Target is very expensive now. I don't shop there anymore.

Exactly and I wrote a reply saying that this was totally depressing and it was making people not wanting to go anymore to Dollar tree because of the prices and some lady slammed me for saying it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously??
I don't really know why she did that because it just made people discouraged about shopping at Dollar tree I think she should continue with the $1.25 items otherwise people will stop watching

Well I got your back lol Tink. If I wanted to pay those “new prices” I could literally turn left at the dollar tree and head into Family Dollar. Lord knows we don’t need a new Family Dollar or another General Dollar. It wasn’t too long ago, merely 12 months when we all said “ok I guess another quarter isn’t too bad.” But I honestly think it’s going to be too far with these new prices. A most likely billion dollar company shooting its self in the foot. Remember going to the DT and feeling like you would surely find a gem that you would say to yourself “I can’t believe it’s not butter!” Oh wait, that’s not it. Oh, I remember. I mean you would say to yourself “Omg, SCORE!” Sometimes you would even call a friend or family member to tell them what you found because it was such a good deal. I think what they have done is open the door for a replacement DT like store who’s going to charge a dollar for items that will swoop right in and take over. Because this is really just a bridge too far!
Having multiple prices is ruining the Dollar Tree Stores😥👍
Dollar Tree has amazing items. But you will be surprised when you shop at other stores like Target or Metro Market that items will be less expensive when on sale!
Many items are not worth buying at DT!
Thanks for the video. I am a long time Dollar Tree shopper n certainly have seen the many changes. I will not shop there as frequently regardless of what I am seeing others haul. Some of the higher priced items can be purchased elsewhere for less. Buyer beware and know your prices!

Yeah. Like. We already have a 5 Below and we just got a PopShelf. If DT just becomes another one of those, there’s really not much point in me shopping there (especially since it’s still unreliable if you can find things)

Hi Jenny ,It's so sad how dt is changing prices. Alot of those items are now the same as Walmart .Nothing stays the same. They should no longer be call a dollar tree.

They really have stepped up their game but now they are taking it way too far!!! It won’t be long after they get the 1000 family dollar & dollar tree’s closed and they will be renaming the remaining stores to be a mix between the two stores like what Jenny just showed us with the higher price points, it reminds me of Family Dollar’s labeling. Sad 😔 😮times.

A lot of those items that have gone beyond $1.25 have disappeared from my stores.
A manager told me a few months ago that it would be 2-3 years before the stores in CA were expected to get Plus items.

Those nail clippers Jennifer are for when you’re putting on those long nail tips on , then you can cut them what length you want them to be.

Over the past 5 years I have lived in 3 states and many cities and have never found Dollar Trees stocked like the stores in your area. I have begun to think that the stores know who has UTube channels and stock them. Regular stores get little or nothing of what you show. It has happened in each state I have lived in.

Thanks for the video Jenny, It was only a matter of time before the prices went up again. It is what it is!! If people don’t want shop there because of the price hikes then so be it. DT is still cheaper than most stores in my opinion. You have great items at your stores. Hoping I come across some of my wish items here in NJ. The $5 candles are nice. They are still cheaper at the DT than Marshall’s or TJMaxx. You are too funny describing some of the products!
I've heard some good review of the Hereford beef pouches and I bout quite a few as Hereford's an old company that's made beef products, like canned corn beef, etc. for years.
Looks like they are blending Family Dollar into all their DTs. Now I understand why the new app has a scanner on it.

I have a small dollar and a larger one. The larger one is closed as it’s being converted to a Dollar+. They have a small selection of $3 and $5 dollar items at the smaller store. They say that only big store will be converted. Nothing is the same.
It was just a matter time.Going to have to change their name to Low N Higher!!!

Idon't mind them changing prices as long as keeping the same things as we ecstasy to b be the same price to start there, so glad they are having more, but haven't gotten adt plus yet either anyway around me within hours drove. Praying God showers you and yours with blessings

5 below should have long ago changed their name to 5 well above. Depressing the our loved $ TREE is following them. Too many price poi ts and should've never ever went above $5!!!

I'm not sure why you would say that they have more $1.25 items than ever. A ton of space is being taken up by higher priced items which leaves less space for the $1.25 items

Just to let everyone know that Dollar Tree bought out Family Dollar so what you are seeing is the Family Dollar products as that is there price stickers..

I am very particular about any sprays, face oils and makeup they sell. Also, the dogs and cat treats made of plastic (?). Like you said, not sure how they will shred once in your dogs. Scary. I hope you are feeling better and your injury is healing well.

Here in Columbia SC we won't see most of this stuff. DT does seem to like SC. I've talked with staff at DT they have not been told prices are changing.
I have been told that the changes are being rolled out slowly and that it could take 2-3 years before it reaches us in CA.
FYI:
The knee pads come in 2 different prints!!
I worry that shoppers will get confused by the different prices and take it out on the workers. For example, they think they’re buying something for $1.25 but it’s really $5 and then they direct their frustrations at the employees. DT workers already deal with enough grief, at least in my city 😢
I agree with the other comments. They're shovibg too much from their family dollar stores into the dollar tree store, and I dont like it. They're doing too much.

Sad that the Dollar Tree seems to have gone the same direction as the 99 Cent Only Stores....many things are the same prices as Wal-Mart or other grocery stores.....not so much of a great deal anymore. I barely buy anything in there now. I still go in to kill some time but the temptation to buy isn't there much now.😕.
