The people who design the automation machines are the real heroes here. Genius!

and this is why trump supporters dont understand where all their factory jobs went! they dont understand that automation took all hose jobs. humans used to perform all those roles. i think automation is great, its progress and state of the art . But many people dont get it
Cones: *Have virtue because they are biodegradable*
Also Cones: *Wrapped in styrofoam and polyethylene packaging*
So many big words
@@keegan.machart increase your vocab
They were too environmentally friendly
One styrofoam packaging can hold many biodegradable packaging like cones.
Imagine if we skip the cone and just using styrofoam for each ice cream

“99” = from the ice cream van vendor, it’s basically referring to the usual price (99p) for ice cream in a cone 🍦. Also a reference to the “99 Flake”, a product which is the above with a Cadbury’s Flake chocolate inserted in the ice cream.
“Hundreds and Thousands” = basically, loads of tiny sprinkles of chocolate that are a variety of colours. They come in tubs and you just sprinkle it on whatever dessert you like.
THEY SHOVE CADBURY ON THEM I WANT THAT
Thanks!
But they were called 99s before they were 99pence
I was wondering what that was. Thank you
Thank you. I was wandering.
I always think to myself whenever I see these videos: how many attempts and mixtures did it take to get everything right? From the size, ingredients, baking time, angle to roll it, etc. so many variables to anything automated and yet it’s done so quickly and perfectly.
Probably hundreads of man-hours of calculating everything and another couple hundread test-runs whilst adjusting the timing by changing conveyor speeds etc.
And after all that: ice cream cones still taste like cardboard
They all started by someone making them by hand, one at a time. After awhile people got ideas to make a step here or there better. What you see is hundreds maybe thousands of people over time making small improvements.
“And adds secret flavoring to the mixture.”

Do you mean cardboard ground into fine dust?

At the end he says "I'd have my icecream with a 99, and hundred thousands" which is a British way to order/have icecream
Does it have any specific meaning? Like amount of icecream or something like that?
What's it mean?
@@pierreuntel1970 The ninety nine ice cream is basically a soft ice cream in a cone. Why it's called that, no one really knows where it originated, theres a few theories ranging from it was the address of the shop it was first sold from, to the mainly Italian ice cream merchants in England use the word 99 to describe anything that is elite/good.

The only other acceptable voice over for How It's Made.
This man's voice is going to become a meme someday, I swear.

How
It will
Reaching too much, it won't
YTPs?
I love that new How It's Made clips are still uploaded! I always find it funny when the comments on these videos complain about the equipment being dirty or having food residue... That's kind of a side effect of mass production. You don't always know where the ingredients come from and you don't always know how sanitary the conditions are. If it's anything serious, like it makes people sick, there will (usually) be recalls. There are pros and cons of mass production, if it's a serious worry to someone, well I guess that's why some people grow/make their own food.

My family owns a restaurant and we used to sell ice cream in the summer before I would sneak in and eat all of the comes and peach flavored ice cream. I was like five and we used this brand of cones.
The Rust on the machine concerns me
Yaah Rust all over the machine ?
That’s not rust
It’s not rust. It’s faeces.
Who gives a shit, a bit of iron never hurt anyone. What's the alternative, make all good production equipment stainless steel and charge a much higher price as a result
@@acarrot6634 The rust itself may be harmless enough, but the rough texture makes the equipment much harder to clean properly.

hundreds and thousands = sprinkles
ice cream = deliciousness :P

As a person who only loves the ice cream cone I can say this is heaven.
Am i the only one who actually likes the cone more than the ice cream? 😂
No

Best part of ice cream
Cool!
since they were invented even today waffle mix and cake batter are still used to make cones. Some places still make the classic waffle cones and some the dish is the waffle cone I have had them all. My two favorite flavors mint chocolate chip and vanilla.
I dont know why did i laugh at the cone testing department🤣
The corn can survive some serious snacking. 😂😂😂 That's very funny.
My favorite is the waffle cone that you show in this video. This is a delicious video I might say. Shalom
I thought all cones were cake cones. I just had my first waffle cone and my mind was blown.
Cake cones are rubbish imo. Waffle cones and sugar cones are better
Did you like the waffle cone? I like cake cones the best
@@leahmccarthy7747 Cake cones are horrible. They just get soggy and don't taste very good. Sugar and waffle cones all the way. And yes, I did like the waffle cone, quite a lot.

The original edible container? What about rice paper? Pot stickers? Cabbage skins? Corn tortillas? What about haggis’s container? Sausage casings? And many more.
Know the smell of waffle cones when you open a box or when you walk in an ice cream store? Imagine how this factory smells 😳😋
I work in a cone factory when i first started their the smell of sugar was so intense it gave me a headache. You could even smell the factory from outside
Thanks I never knew how those were made
I like to imagine the background music of the video is actually playing in the factory
Great
Cool 🥳😎
Wait where do you find pink and green cake cones? I have never heard if that before
Indeed 😊👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

MYSTERIOUS
If i have more ideas to try that is pleasurable to eat ice cream, i think maybe square shapes or bowl shape? If like this "U"? But narrow middle?
I wonder if you could use "cake cones" as disposable cups for a dinner party?
Also where I live those are called Kiddy cones and I always thought this must be what it would be like if someone decided to chew styrofoam except not quite.
they get soggy quickly with liquid in them, and they impart a taste on the liquid.

I wondered how they made the "edible styrofoam" cones. (Cake cups)
The real question is how are these machines made
At the beginning of the video he's talking about how they're green because you don't have to throw away anything but then he says their packaged in styrofoam lol
Ooo, what is your favorite type of ice cream cone, I LOVE sugar cones.
