If you play as Chris he often has to play the role of the knight who rescues ladies. So I guess you were worried about not rescuing Rebecca, which something Chris has to do. Jill also relies on Barry to save her.
Re:Zero happens during Re:1 tho. I think the Jill ending is canon where Chris finds Jill along with Barry and they all escape while Rebecca leaves the forest through train.

One thing cliche that I hate about RE games is they have to ride helicopters in the ending! Like why must the endings have the heroes aboard the helicopter to flee?
Okay but... whats with the Jill ending? I want an ending where EVERYONE gets to fly away in the helicopter, Jill, Chris, Barry AND Rebecca. But when you play as Jill you´ll never see Rebecca and if you play as Chris Barry won´t be at the helicopter in the end.
Wasn’t until RE5 that she was confirmed alive, even in the RE2 intro about the stars members berating chief irons she isn’t present but Brad and Barry are so the ending favored was Jills

To be honest when game developers and script writers for the story make a sequel to a game, they never think about who was present in the previous game, especially those who survive and this is very much the case with Capcom. Capcom has a huge Alzheimer's issue in remembering important characters in the franchise. They screwed up when making Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3emake. In Resident Evil 2 Remake, they screwed the events that should've transpired like in the original PS1 edition, for example; Leon and Claire's Story Overlaps one another. Can't fight G-Birkin Phase 1 as Leon and Claire at the same time. It doesn't make sense. Both characters fight him in the A and B runs of the remade story which doesn't even make sense. Not to mention we weren't even supposed to enter the RPD through the front Gate in the A run at the beginning anyways. It was the side Gate from B that should've been A. The Front Main Gate at the beginning should've been B if anything. Also the Bus in Claire's run? Yeah. That should've been at the beginning of the game too. Another thing to add is the fact that Leon was in casual-wear when the game was brand new. That's not really the issue, but a faithful remake follows what the original story has. Leon was always in his RPD uniform. And the Gas Station? Don't even get me started on that shit. That's a clusterfuck of shit that should've never happened. The Gas Station involved the truck driver and shouldn't have even involved Leon and Claire. If anyone wanted a 2 Remake started off in the proper way? We should've temporarily played as the truck driver before moving onto Leon and Claire's A and B stories. Now if they remade the game that leans entirely onto the original RE2 design, story etc, things would've been fine. The things they did right were confirm the canonization of important characters from Outbreak, such as Rita and Kevin Ryman. Anyways back to Leon and Claire, Technically they're in completely different places and only meet up like once or twice, the two being the STARS Office on the 2nd Floor and the other when it comes to Sherry which was also on the 2nd Floor. Remember Marvin when he was outside of the RPD in front of the front hall doors? Capcom completely forgot about how the select characters, including Rita, escaped the RPD. Now it's true that Marvin got bit, but only because of Outbreak File #2 in which he was actually bit by a random Zombie, not Brad. Also the RPD Swat Truck that Rita and them escaped in? That was at the main gate of the RPD, in 3emake, that Truck isn't even present and neither was Rita nor the surviving characters in Outbreak. This is usually why Capcom frustrates the shit out of me because they haven't been doing jack shit right. And especially when it comes to Outbreak File #1 and File #2. Since 3emake, I've eventually came to the conclusion that Capcom is going to great strides to bury Outbreak because of spilt milk back in 2004/2005? before the release of Resident Evil 4. Due to poor sales because of old dial up at the time, they've gone out of their way to try and make a shit version of Outbreak to attempt to bury the PS2 classic, that "remake" being RE:RESISTANCE. People are always talking about the main characters of the franchise. Leon this, Leon that. "I want to see Leon partner up with Jill!" I think they just want that dopamine p0rn, if I'm being honest here. "I want to see where Chris is in Resident Evil 20!" or "Resident Evil is all about Chris, Jill, Leon, and Claire. Who gives a flying shit about everyone else in the franchise?!" Over exaggerated? Maybe. But that's literally my point. And those quoted sentences are from real users here on RUclips. Like I'm not making that shit up. LOL. They're focusing too heavily on the main character lineup. Resident Evil has always been about Survival Horror, so what better way to portray that by making Biohazard: Outbreak? A unique game that focuses on 8 Civilian Characters that actually matters to the franchise. Those 8 Civilian Characters are important to the series and people have forgotten that. They were the ones who made the cure to the T-Virus, Daylight. They cured themselves of the Virus and took a sample with them before the city got nuked. The only reason that any vaccines or cures exist later on in the franchise was literally because of those 8 characters. It sucks that Capcom lost their potential at story telling and game design placement (Not bashing on them about their design because it's phenomenal, but I mean stuff like I mentioned at the beginning of this big ass paragraph like the remade A and B run, the gate, the bus so on and so forth.), because I feel like they just threw their passion for the franchise in the garbage.

Rebecca survived. The player didn't shoot the Tyrant so it continued to kill Rebecca.
