Great question! Ideally, you should keep your angle at 60 degrees. This is mainly for continuity when following a patient over time. If each Sonographer uses the same angle when assessing velocity and disease progression the result will be more consistent. However, there will be times that a 60 degree angle is impossible to get. When that happens it is more accurate to actually have the angle parallel with the stream of flow rather than keeping it at 60. Remember, of course, to never go over 60 degrees when assessing velocity. I hope this helps!!
Thanks
In the doppler of the ICA the angle is at 51, I thought the angle should always be 60 degrees?

Does that mean the angle of the transducer ?or ?
