What a great pair of characters those two are, Trust, Loyalty, understanding, Friendship & a sheer passion for boating.. Wonderful to see and an inspiration to us all. Another fab thoroughly enjoyable video
What a great meet the owners, these two seem ideally suited and have a great experience of shared boat ownership. I love the way they are really open and honest about their experiences, full of lots of very useful information. I came to boat ownership from shared aircraft ownership, so I can identify a lot with what they have covered in this interview. However I love having my own boat and the freedom it gives me, but then I will probably never own a Princess V39, so it’s always about compromise and what suits your needs. Another great article Nick.
Brilliant Nick....one of the best yet! Finding the right person to share with isn't necessarily easy, but John and Chris have this really worked out. Soooo down to earth too.
Probably the best of the series so far. 2 Guys who have "sorted it" to mutual satisfaction. Right, Nick your challenge is to beat this one!!. Stay safe ashore or afloat.
Enjoyed every minute of this one, two knowledgeable and great guys, being somebody that will never own a boat it’s great to hear of peoples travels and experiences alongside seeing the boat etc…. Thank you all
You have to be honest with one another, as these two guys are, - It's give and take. These two gentlemen do that. They are enthusiastic sailors who have fun with their boat and sort out who has what date and what the budget that's been used. Balanced use, between them. Great interview thank you Nick.
Really nice the way they are so respectful to each other. Also there appears to be a great sense of trust between them ..and a shared sense of humour.. that’s what makes a good boat partnership
Really great meet the owners. Chris and John have a great setup. This only works if you get a long and trust each other. They obviously do and it allows them to own a much better yacht than either could afford individually. They have a lovely yacht and know how to get the best from it. Don’t think I could do this, but it is great if you can. Loved hearing about their experiences and trips. What were the odds that they would meet the previous owner on the trip up the Thames ! I like the decor of yacht. Nice having the dark with the white. I hope some day you too can get your V39 as a new smugglers! Thanks for this video Nick 😊
Yet again another great meet the owners Nick. And what an affordable way to go boating and owning such a fantastic boat like the V39, You have now started me thinking Nick 🤔
One of my favourite meet the owners. I am in a boat share and it’s great to see others doing similar - albeit on a slightly grander scale. The key is finding the right partner; somebody with similar values and ethos to yourself, somebody who is relatively laid back and most importantly somebody who you can trust. Finally, a 50% share certainly helps towards the “justification”!
Brilliant that these folks and families have got the co-ownership working so well. I lept from this Video to the old review walk round of the V39. Nice boat Nick, suit you sir !
A beautiful friendship. Even i they are marriged, they truely have another life companion to share a lot of boating with. It´s just beautiful. Thanks for sharing Nick :)
If I had the money I think I would buy you this boat Nick. Its awesome to see how they boat is shared by two happy man. Thank you too the three of you. Awesome blog
Another incredible meet the owner video- I loved hearing how these guys share the boat- I am consistently impressed at how nice boat people are.. I use to think they would be snobs.... I enjoy watching your videos so much and look forward to see you in your own Princess sometime soon.
What an interesting concept, two people who have a shared interest in boating who buy a boat together and are enjoying their experiences separately yet are as one, just brilliant nick!
As a non boater the explanation of their trip to St Kathrines dock was really interesting. Keep asking that question or ask each owner about interesting trips! Love it, keep up the good work Nick!
A nice looking yacht, must agree with them I love a blue hull. Nice interior and all looks stunning for its age. Nice to see how they get on sharing the boat. Thanks Nick, great video as always.
Hi ,justification is the prize word , for boating . Gorgelicious is when it has been a great day out . Well said by two honest men , who work together to make it work out for them both . Thanks Nick .
Well that was the best meet the owner you have done both knowledgeable guys & sorted out needs from the start. That was an enjoyment listening to there conversations. Well done Nick.
Really well done. I didn’t think this would be interesting but I found myself quite involved in the discussion. It’s apparent these two are well suited for a partnership just listening to them share experiences. They’re quite organized which makes this arrangement workable. Thank you for the entertainment as usual!
Great video. The idea of sharing a boat is brilliant with the right partner. Great idea. I really enjoy these meet the owner videos. You get to hear how the boat is used, the good, the bad, what amenities are most valuable, and the things that can be done without. Keep up the great work Nick, much appreciated. Cheers from Colorado.
Hi Nick, Chris and John. An awesome boat, one of your favourites. Shared ownership to get the boat you both want that would normally be out of reach. A fantastic meet the owners video. Thanks 😊
Very nice chaps, they seem to have worked out all the kinks, very useful and entertaining interview, lovely boat to share with a mate. I enjoyed watching that, thanks, ‘Nick. 👍
The last 2 interviews have been with folk who really have their acts together coupled with the fact they are very articulate. Please keep finding them. Cheers
Love that chat with Chris and John. So very interesting how they manage their time/usage/expenses. They seem so down to earth and fun to be around! Thanks, as always!😎
Two happy guys ... Thumbs up ! Thank you for this interesting experience Nick. This show us that life can be better when you are able to share ... RESPECT ALL !!!
We did this with our first airplane, as just like most boats in marinas, our use was occasional and sharing costs makes improvements more feasible. Worked out great because of the partners we chose (considerate + skillful pilots) and in part because we chose to use a clear & thorough agreement on how it would all work.
Great video, as I have mentioned before I do find these meet the owner very interesting and a duel owner one is a great new addition, very insightful and thought provoking, it does bring in more options by sharing.
Great to see Mr Crocker (JC) fairing well and still messing around on the water. Shared ownership not a surprise. I remember well that we shared a pizza on the Quay in Exeter around 25 years ago. Was good value back then too and, money well spent.
@@johncrocker1019 Very fine looking craft. Glad you're still enjoying the water. I watch all the finest channels. This one, Harry's Garage and Leo with Tally Ho.
I very gratefully reside near a marina with 300 meter yacht/cruise size vessels that can do quite well with their docking, I just need another comma in the monetary aspect to make it happen, and it will. Thank you @aquaholic!
Great session thanks I have a boat share in Perth WA with three of us works well especially the finances and your not tied to it we swap weeks etc similar to these guys this was arranged on line I had never met the guys before then.We have a boat owners agreement just in case however have never had to refer to it , Issues get discussed then fixed or worked out thanks Nick
Thanks Nick, great episode. It’s good to see a boat share that works, I only came into boating only a few years ago having flown planes for many years where group shares are the norm and I was surprised to see how little there is for boats so it’s good to hear the advocates. Boating like many things is all about trade offs and compromises but shared ownership makes that bigger boat much more affordable.
hi nick.very interesting interview.i noticed they met when they were sailing.that does bond you.they seem to be a perfect match for different skill sets but working in unison.well done guys...take care sailor.;)
Wow.. John and Chris are awesome guys.. It is very rare that two persons, though having similar mind sets and interests, could manage to this level of planning and cooperation!! The discussion got more interesting when they started talking about how they came up with the idea of co-owning a boat.. They both worked hard to get the boat to their imagination!! Very interesting Ep.. Thank you for making this for us.. Double thumbs up for the views from J & C!!
me and my partner went and walked around the marina at exmouth and this was the boat we both gawked at its great to see it close up now. and local to us.
Nick, I agree that this was the most informative of your ‘meet the owners’ series. My son and I are about to do something similar with a new boat - double the possible investment and you get so much - hope it works out in practice too 😉. Well done
Plumbing tip: The blow off valves (PRV) shouldn’t discharge water unless it’s hit it’s maximum temperature set point in which case the thermostat is either set too high or the thermostat is faulty. Also make sure the expansion vessel has the correct pre charge in the diaphragm (usually 3.5 bar) to accommodate the expansion of the water as it’s heating. if the PRV has been discharging water there’s a good chance the seat of the valve has dirt on it therefore it’ll always discharge a tiny amount until it’s replaced. Hope this helps with your wet bilge!
The problem is we do not have an expansion vessel. Seems princess do not fit one! You are right it shouldn’t blow of but as the temperature from the engine is up to 85 so will the water in the calorfier so inevitably it did leak even the new one we fitted.. anyway we have dealt with it satisfactorily
I have been looking to buy Princess F50 last two years on my own but since the interest rate going up and up it is not possible. Also I learned if you have to borrow money to buy boat then don’t buy! Now I am only looking for boat share just 4 weeks a year. Running cost seems very expensive. Having just a Jetski in Southampton costing £2500 a year and last time I used it was August. I am happy to share a boat with any people except bankers!
What a great pair of characters those two are, Trust, Loyalty, understanding, Friendship & a sheer passion for boating.. Wonderful to see and an inspiration to us all. Another fab thoroughly enjoyable video
Partnership based on old school trust and loyalty 💯 you can't get that anymore. Respect to these two gentlemen

Soooo down to earth too.

Many thanks Nick, keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
Talk about having it absolutley sorted 👍🏼 Sounds like they have both found their ideal sharing partner. Great guys!
after finding this channel, I watched a lot of "Meet the Owners" - this one really stands out - such a warm conversation! all the best to those two!!

Brilliant, really enjoyed this one, and all the better for being longer too (why's everyone is such a rush!).
I thought I'd watch 5 or 10 minutes of this...
55½ minutes later, I'm writing this comment!
What a brilliant insight to this great partnership.
its all about getting your ego in check. these guys do make it work. amazing...and definitly a "cheaper" way to afford a Princess V39, a dream boat.
Very nice chaps, they seem to have worked out all the kinks, very useful and entertaining interview, lovely boat to share with a mate. I enjoyed watching that, thanks, ‘Nick. 👍
yet another enjoyable, absorbing interview

Nick there is a V39 berthed next to me that needs some proper TLC but is a very good price. Worth a look id say!
Very interesting and informative interview. Great to see how this shared ownership is working out.
Glad you enjoyed it!
