I have been interested in the non-E version of this thing cause it's so cheap, sounds like it would be a very solid bike with the updates to it. Some people online are wary of the flexpoint suspension, but it sounds like it works really well.
Impressive it has an 800wh battery however for the market this is targeting, perhaps 600ish would have made more sense, making bike even cheaper and lighter.
The average mountain biker only rides 10-20 miles at a time. At least that’s what I see in my area. Seems like a 600 battery would be more than enough for 80% of riders.
Bike sounds like a no for me but the review was great. You're reviews seem spot on and honest. Ever think about doing an independent channel for bikes you guys don't carry. I think it would be successful. Again great review
Single pivot is not patented. Maestro is and likely cost a lot to create the patent and design. It takes more resources for them so it makes sense it would cost more.
@@bikersedge but since it is their patent why would it cost them more? If Maestro was a third party patent then I could understand the extra cost, but as far as I know it’s not.
Because filing for a patent is expensive. Defending a patent is expensive. Sure they’re not paying royalties but they’ve certainly invested a lot of time, money and resources into patenting the maestro design. It’s pretty simple business math.
Nup, hated it e+2. Crunchy gears, motor lost power after 100kms, cheap battery cover not waterproof , no key for battery, heavy. I got rid of it at 123 kms, cheap and nasty in many ways. Dealer couldn’t even bother telling me about the Giant app, just “here’s your bike, see ya”.
Got the equivalent Embolden E+ Pro to my wife and that was an excellent move!
Good honest review thanks. 👍
Hey thanks! Great bike especially for the price.
Completely honest review. It's nice to hear someone not afraid to criticize where needed without coming off as elitist and snobby.
Glad you like the video!
There is no better MTB reviewer period. Another gem.
Thanks!

It's certainly not the most refined suspension feel, but it gets the job done.
I’m not really interested in eMTBs, but I still watch all ur e-bike reviews because they are just that good.
Huge compliment. Thanks!
Stunning videos mate! Just curious, what do you shoot your videos on(Camera gear)? Love your content!
Hey thanks. I use a GoPro 12 and a Sony a7s3.
Great review!
Hey thanks!
Can you ride this bike without turning the electrical system? I'd utilize the electrical features when I'm completely exhausted.
@@jasontreyes8078 you could but it’s a really heavy bike with drag in the motor when it’s not on. It would be hard to pedal.
@@bikersedge Thank you for the info.
How can you tell if they are selling the new or old version on their website?
Usually new models say new next to them. Otherwise it can be tricky with them as they don’t do model years. You can check geometry.
I just ordered this bike, I'm new , I hope this bike shows me the fun of the mountain bike hobby.
It's a great starter bike!
Hi, how you like the bike finally?
How do you like it ?
Is the new model still a commuter bike or am i better off with the 2023 as an allround bike?
The new one it a much more suited for MTB than the previous one.
@@bikersedge Thanks. But does that mean 2024 is less suited for city commuting though?
@@mathildeeide8550 yes
I’m selling my Cannondale Moterra Neo Carbon to get a Giant. I’m wondering if it’s better to get a Stance E+ Pro or Trance X E+?
Personally I think the Trance is a better bike if you can swing the extra expense.
@@bikersedge Thanks dude! Nice review! Love your channel!
@@ptrgmx7396 hey thanks!
Does this bike go without pedaling or is it only pedal assist
Only pedal assist. It’s class 1
New pivot switchblade review??
We don’t carry pivot. Unfortunately we won’t be able to make it happen.

Making it cheaper makes sense. The added range with the bigger battery in my mind is worth the extra dollars and weight.
@@bikersedge yep...battery capacity is one of the major selling points of any e-bike.

@timcoleman3421 it’s more of a vertical gain issue than mileage issue.
Would a 5’11” guy fit a medium
@@Scott-mu4xw I avoid size advice over the internet. I’ll refer you to giants size chart, but a test ride or demo would be best.

Hey thanks for the kind words! I'm pretty stoked on the current setup here!
I used to own a Giant Stance where the seat stay cracked at the driveside "flex point". Flex stays on aluminum frames are such a joke.
I don’t totally disagree. End up riding like a flexy single pivot.
I was going to ask a question about that….
How does suspensions design impact price??? That makes no sense!
Patented designs cost money.
@@bikersedge both designs are patented… and does the Maestro patent not belong to Giant? So why would they charge themselves to use it?

It’s certainly not a high performance bike but it’s a big improvement over the previous version.
Why the hell would anyone buy a Stance. Just buy the entry level Trance
I’d agree but the entry level trance is $1200 more. If you can afford it, it’s a way better bike for sure.
My thoughts exactly. With current sales you can get a trance or reign for the same money. This won’t be as discounted for awhile.
