We met up with the Von Steiger Brothers and Mr Reliable and headed off to a spot where they had been before and found a gorgeous 6g nugget! Optimisim was high and we had a lot of fun, laughs and a few heart breaks but gold was found too! Thanks for watching and all of your support, hope you enjoy the vid and all the best! Cheers, Ant & Glenn
Another great one fellas! Thanks for the entertainment! I bought a 6000 two years ago; dug just shy of 500 targets so far, no gold yet, but I could start my own automotive battery company with all of the lead I’ve found. Just need to swing it over the right target. Not discouraged or slowing down, just have to wait 5 months or so because the ground is frozen now. Thanks again guys, keep going!
Thanks so much for your support legend!! Much appreciated! Glad you are enjoying our channel so much :) oh wow - and that's my exact concern about the 6000. i have heard stories of people paying them off mighty fast, but i've heard a lot more stories about people finding a lot of lead too hahaha. i'm not convinced i wouldn't have found a nugget with my 5000 if i had the 6000 instead. Anyway, you never know i guess and you gotta run your coil over it either way! Good luck in your adventures and i hope you get onto some colour soon once the ground unfreezes!!! Where are you watching from?? Cheers, Ant & Glenn
@NewportStudio sensational, great to hear from you in Idaho 😊😊 we’ve got another subscriber who comments often from Idaho, must be getting really cold over your way now!! 🇺🇸🇦🇺⛏
Thanks For the Day Out Fellas. Yeah The Gold Was Definitely Hiding that Day! But a Few Is Better than None! ✨👍. On A Side Note Later That Day Tom Scored An Almost 2 Ounce Piece 🎉 With That 6000. So I’m More Convinced That They Are A Very Capable Machine! ✨✨👏. Till Next Time 👍. Best Of Luck 🤞 For You Two o Home Ground Next Trip! That Jakery is Amazing. Makes Any Camping trip that More Effortless and Effective!👏👏
It was great to catch up Graeme!! It sure was hiding haha. yes incredible find by the Shaw Thing!! I am too - would love to test out the 6000 a bit more. Definitely, love the Jackery! Until next time mate, cheers!! 👍👍
Great fun getting out with mates, both new and old. I have a lot of people chase me up to come out for a hunt and more than happy help them out. Especially love getting people onto their 1st bits. Some days are better than others in prospecting for sure lol. Great video as always guys 👍
Exactly right Jamie, ripper day out with mates!! Some days are definitely better than others on the scales, but that's ok - all about having some fun. Cheers 👍
Mr Conroy, the gold detective!! Take the day off from digging in the dirt. 😂😂 We hope you have a great day at the races and fingers crossed, you drive a winner!! I always get a chuckle from listening to you and Ants, and of course Sweet Cheeks too!!!
Good afternoon Glen and Anthony great watching your video , its the enjoyment of getting out and about . We watch you the other day when you sad hello to lola and myself, lola laughed when she heard what you said about us and you're ears , Cheers Lionel
Thanks Ant and Glenn for another gold detecting hands on video. I'm very impressed with the skill, knowledge and results that became apparent as the five of you worked your detectors. Harvesting gold that weighs less than 0.5 gram sets the standard to aim for and getting 'junk' metals is a sign that any detectorist is on track. Imagine detecting a rusty old tobacco can, then opening it to see gold coins inside. Never done it myself, but a good imagination helps me persist with detecting. cheers. Tom
Thanks very much Tom, glad you enjoyed this one!! Yes and i've heard many stories along the same lines - you just never know what you may find. Good luck out there. Cheers, Ant & Glenn
Those 6000,s are mighty good but very expensive , i will stick to my 4500 which i modified myself, i can see the klms you guys travel to make these video's ,I'm so tight i ride an electric bike to the gold fields in daisy hill , towing a trolley behind i only live a 1 klm from the diggings 8 out of 10 days i find nothing cursing my return trip lol ,take my hat off to you guys for driving that distance .
Yep, agreed! nothing wrong with the 4500, great machine!! Good man, yeah we do a few kms, unfortunately no other option!! Lucky man to live so close to the diggings, good luck out there!
Great day out Ant, you can't always get on the gold, I've had a couple of skunk days lately, and that's prospecting, I'm sure you'll be back on it next adventure. That's was a cracking nugget Tom found, very nice. Cheers mate 👍
Good video guys loved the sovereign hill story! didnt think id ever see Ant using a scoop .... no you dont spit in it Ant its not a spitoon! cheers guys.
Another great video Glenn and Ant always enjoy watching you two keeping it real. Nice to know that I'm not the only one that comes home with a lot of lead shoot. Keep up the great work . 👍 👍
Wonderful day out with like-minded mates. I'm sure if you took them to one of your spots, you would come out the winning team. Cheers and thanks for sharing your adventures
Bugger you guys struck out this time fingers crossed you get some yellow next swing I run the sdc with booster and upgrade coil I love it can pick up stuff the monsters get and also gets the bigger stuff I’m out smythesdale way I occasionally get over Maryborough avoaca area but rarely do well over there hope I meet you guys out in the bush some day 👍
We did indeed! Thanks mate, appreciate it. Good to hear you do well with your SDC setup. We've heard a lot about the SDC, it's a great machine. Good luck out there buddy and be sure to say hi if you see us out there :)
Gr8 vid again you blokes....thanks for showing what it's really like,,,,,this is more like what happens to me, and plenty others I bet!! (but what happened to the Bluetti?? The Jackery is everywhere atm...well done agin, better luck next......ooroo!!
Thanks Paul, it sure is - that's the reality of detecting for sure! haha the Bluetti is still around, we use both the Jackery and Bluetti. We have a solar panel for the Jackery so use it more often. They are both great pieces of equipment. Cheers!!

L enjoy your video we go and found a lot of lead shot with the 6000 but your in the the bush and you meet other detectors and you have a talk and that’s what life is we all having fun trying to find the next bit 😊
Love the channel boys. I've been detecting for 2 years with a gold monster. Haven't found gold yet but you guys always give me hope. Looking forward to the next video.
Cheers Stuart! It's a tough slog out there. I(Ant) started with a GM as well - took me 2 years to find my first bit with it. I then upgraded to the GPX5000. It's a tough machine to get used to, but you can still find gold with it for sure. Good luck out there and hope you manage to get onto some colour!! Cheers
Another good thing I can see is, that you don't have to backfill a big hole in when using the 6000. Love the Jackery! that's on the Christmas pressie list. woof!

Hey Ant, stick with the 6000 idea. You have plenty of time to make your money back. I borrowed one for a week, found 27g, then I bought one. I have only detected for six weeks with the 6000, it’s nearly paid the initial cost back. I would think the detector has many years left in it. So it’s not all fly poop.
Geez it's tempting, but i'm gonna hold out for a bit longer. You've done very well no doubt, but i've heard lots of other stories as well of the opposite end of the stick. Good work, glad to hear you are finding some bigger ones too. What's the lead shot count? ;)
