I’ve been debating on which kind of carving I want to learn. Relief carving with gouges on basswood has been my #1 but watching you do this with the dremel has inspired me to try this as well. I have some small basswood blocks so maybe I’ll give it a try soon. Great video! Thanks!!

So much respect for you true hippie and punk sharing the skills and knowledge helping people realise the art within them , such an impowering vid .Thank you for your inspiration and hard work .
That guy is wicked, great tutorial and great piece Jordy. I don’t wear gloves either, I rub a bit of vegetable oil on my hands for a minute or so then soap and rinse, stain comes right off 👌
Thanks Jordy!! I always enjoy watching you work and I always take something away that I can use. Carving wood spirits has been my COVID skill that I picked up because of watching you. I can’t thank you enough for the inspiration!
JORDY your the dremmel king of wood spirits in my eyes and ryan cook is the chainsaw king of wood spirits ,,, but your a very close second after your tutorial with Ryan 👏👏👏👏👏👌👍
You should be a plastic surgeon HA ! Great job thanks for the video , will have a go at this , already have my free wood from local beach waiting to be carved !
The sliver spirit, love it bro.. you gave me an idea.. thank you.. will try it out then share with you... thank you for all the information bro, this 2 part video was really helpful... Thanks bro... Happy carving
Jeez Jordy indecicive much... "I'm going to add pupils, wait no it's, too complicated for beginners... Ok so here is the wood spirit with the pupils that added." Was so confused by the end of this video that I wasn't sure whether to give my wood spirit eyes at all. Hehe
Good evening Prof, still carving eh ,when you carving the( Rose quartz ,in my opinion) rock carp head coming out of water. Put on paths to look like its bobbed up . Carve deeper Jordy🏴🧙♂️🏴😁
thanks for sharing this. After studying the Dremel safety vids for my 8220 I tried my first "Beginner" carve with the 105 attachment, simple "mom" with a butterfly design. Carved for many years with knives but tired of being cut all the time looking forward to knocking off some wood spirits and other characters, this thing is spooky powerful learned quickly NO PRESSURE let the tool do the work. What would take me a MONTH with knives can be done in about 20 minutes this thing is too cool!
@@CarvingFusion yes in trying to carve a Moravian Star I got major resistance against the grain on top - but this time was a very bad injury to my finger as it jumped and cut me twice very deep. I will finish that darn star maybe wearing a guntlet but at last now with your skill guides I can make some amazing works with my Dremel!
Awsome bro, thank you for everything you share with us, i learn with every video... Please keep up the great work bro, love it.. Cant wait to show Lara grumpy jessie... and I am going to challenge you very soon brother,.. oh yes... i will.... hahahaha
Good job 👏. I enjoyed watching parts 1 and 2. How is the Tacklife rotary tool holding up. I'm interested in getting it as a beginner. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
Cool video. I am just now starting to watch your stuff. I do wood carvings too, but with a knife. I paint my characters, but I like them to look old and weathered. One trick I do, the last step actually, is a rub the carving down with super fine steel wool. Gives it a nice matte finish and you can adjust how hard you rub to adjust the wear. I ordered some burrs theu your link to kutzall, I will be doing some wood spirits with you!
Hi Jordy , I'm in Australia I just had a look at the kutzell bits wow expensive they look great but paying $19 or so for 1 bit is way out of my price range , I looked through their listing and can't find a set as you described, cheers Vicki I'm a newbie carver and bloody loving it hubby has to call me in for dinner and shower lol 🤣 thankyou you've opened up a new world for me xo
How are you powering your Dremel? foot pedal? seems like you have variable speed almost like a rheostat. My Dremel is variable but I have to adjust it by hand.
