As a teacher seeing the kids use their imagination to construct a fort is amazing. So many kids no longer have the opportunity to be kids and use their imaginations. I really love seeing this. You are an awesome mother.
A million years ago I read a long article on acquiring common. It was mostly linked to children playing outside and how they design imaginary things. The one that really stuck was when they have a creek and want to get to the other side. How many times they will fall in until they figure just the right rocks to hop in to get to the other side dry. Watching your children instantly made me think of that. You have such a peaceful family!

When I was little we used the milkweed in our fort. The outside was one thing and the inside pieces others. I am sure we spread it everywhere with our playing. Maybe not where we needed it but I don’t remember the smell. Now I want to smell it to see if I remember 😁
