I enjoyed you displaying this machine. I currently have a Rancilio siliva and it's a great beginner machine. I like the fact this machine has a heat exchange and you can steam and brew with relative ease. In the future I'll upgrade to a fancier machine.
Hello, I will open a small boutique coffee shop. I don't know if many people will come at first. Would equivalent single-arm machines such as Lelit Bianca, Simonelli Oscar 2, etc. be beneficial? For example, how many espressos or lattes can Oscar make in a row? Hey, does coffee and milk work at the same time? And how many cups of coffee does that make in a row? Is he tired? Does it hurt me? Thanks
There were two things that drag this machine back that many people don't like it, one is lack of OPV, even it's easier to get one but, No2 is being lack of flow restrictor, normal 25-30 seconds from first drip rule doesn't apply to this one, so many people did installed the OPV and end up pulling the bad shots all the time, because of that huge flood like flow rate, modify 0.5mm flow restrictor would make night and day difference.
Ive had a Rancilia Silvio V1 since 2010. I have replaced the wand system and earlier this year the boiler got fried after wifey left it on steam. I got it fixed for 700 dollars. Now the boiler failed again 8 months later , the water will not heat despite the light being on. I am looking for something different and this seems to fit the bill.
Hi and thanks for a great review! A while ago I got an OPV for my Oscar II, and brought the pressure down to 8 bars. Now I'm trying a modification that I first noticed on Home-Barista and then found from other sources which includes adding a Synesso ruby to reduce the flow at the solenoid just before the grouphead, but also moving the 3.0 gigler from the hot side to the cold side and installing a 3.2 gigler in its place for more even temperatures. (Unfortunately the existing 3.0 gigler is stuck and I am worried I already smoothed out the hex head area. Any suggestions on how to loosen it?) I have a Sirai Pressurestat, so maybe it's not really necessary to substitute the giglers. What do you think? P.S. the rest of the mod includes removing the 0.7mm gigler at the pump and turning off the pre-brew delay. Thanks! Jeff
hi sir🙋🏻♂️, i got 2 questions, regarding the opv, is the espresso quality is the same as breville bes870? because, i think both have 15 pressure right? if the pressure is too high, i grind coarser, it solved the problem right?
Great question! Flow mainly really comes down to grind size, dose and tamping. Using a scale to weigh in your shots to reduce one variable when trying to dial this in would help (you may already be doing this). It is a little harder to change flow on the actual Oscar 2 machine as it is a vibrating pump machine not really accessible without the help of a coffee tech.
There are so many beautiful machines out there. Like exotic cars. So nice to look at but forever out of reach. Still we love them. I got a Gaggia Classic Pro early this year and a loving it. Gives the most bang for the buck and with a few low cost mods it compares with machines twice its price. I'll be looking forward to more quality content from your channel.
The Gaggia Classic Pro is awesome, real cool value. I find the magic of coffee is the moment it creates rather than the actual end result. I find it relaxing to rake time making a coffee and then sharing the moment with family and friends. We are in a lucky position here, that we get to play with all the toys, and with time share our thoughts on them on RUclips :)
When I look back at my journey to a full fledged coffee geek and recall how much fun each step was. The best part is that there is always more to learn.
Good review. One little flaw though: This machine controls your shots by time, not volume. Great value if you’re into milk coffee or practicing latte art on a budget.
Awesome review Pedro! I recommend this machine alot for people asking for a machine in this price range! Amazing steam power too!

Great video! Just wondering how would you choose between Oscar 2 and ascaso Steel duo PID?

Nice review bro. Planning to buy oscar 2 this week.

How do you measure flow? Under freefall without portafilter? Isn't coffee grind dictating flow,? Which other HX in this range ppl prefer,?

How many cups can this pull an hour?
How would you compare the quality of shots between this and a PID Rancilio Silvia?

Could I plug this into a timer, that turns the machine on/off automatically…?
Yes, it's what we normally recommend and wifi enabled switches are what I would suggest so you can also control remotely.

One question, how to slow the flow of Oscar 2? My coffee flows too quickly.

@@CoffeePartsTV I tried to grind finer but it leaks from the gasket (new original gasket). I hated this machine. I will sell it.
@@ahmettanriverdi5238 it’s not the machine…it’s the operator
Do you have these machines in stock ?
We do! you can find them here - www.coffeeparts.com.au/nuova-simonelli-oscar-ii-espresso-machine
How long is the warm up time? Thought i saw on some other review its 15mins, that cant be true surely!
Generally heat exchanger machines can take 30-40 mins to heat, but I've seen multiple places that this one takes about 15 mins.
My oscar takes abt 8 mins
What grinder do you recommend
You forgot to mention ECM 😉👍
That's one beautiful machine. Love to upgrade to one of these, maybe I'll buy a lottery ticket. 😂
They are cool, hoping that lottery ticket comes thought and you get all the toys :)

What is the point talking about the machine when you don't even try to make a coffee?
He thinks he’s reviewing a furniture. 😂
It's funny that no one says how to cooling flush this machine
Pleasant video, but who wrote the subtitles?? Mein Gott! :-)
They definitely need to be proof read in future!... Now that I see it I'm cringing!

You are right, we stuffed up! Embarrassed now
They shoudn't call it volumetric 😀😀
he said to put a scale underneath the espresso cup..so that way when your doing volume you do weight duh.
So much talking and he didn't brew a coffee.
So true, we now run the equipment on all videos :)
