Justin your skill growth is reflected from this video , Loving your content ! Please make one video about how to know which way of grouping makes more sense from the learning perspective:)
Hi, I'm new here so I'm not sure if you have already made a video about this but I think it would be helpful, especially for beginners, if you could talk about how to actually understand which bits of information are the most important. I believe the reason for which beginner students struggle with leaving traditional notes behind is that most times professors mention small things, concepts or names that may not seem that important at first but then turn out to be when you take the test. Therefore people try to write everything down to avoid missing anything. The same can happen while doing a mind map: if I don't know how to identify important information I'm going to write everything down, resulting in a very messy and gigantic mind map. Without knowing how to evaluate information it would be hard to even approach GRINDE successfully. Anyways thanks a lot for your videos and help!

Been following you for quite a while and I can say I have improved in seeing learning from a whole new perspective, especially with the PERRIO system as a key highlight would humbly request that you do a video on how to approach learning online courses combining both the videos and soft copy resources from these online courses effectively.
Should we incorporate spaced repetition and interleaving when using a mind map? I've seen that people often revisit and add to their mind maps in an iterative process, which I assume helps with spaced learning. However, should we completely recreate the mind map and space out the process? Wouldn't that be time-consuming?
Thank for the dedicated video, I have decided to be a non-stop learner, and currently learning to use mindmap, the video helps a lot, thank again. Also, I agree with the part about AI, it is a great tool, but at the same time easy to misuse--just like the smartphone. We should not use the AI in ways that harmful to our thinking, as a human, "our most important skill is the ability to think". And "use it or lose it", we do not use our brain, it's gonna ATROPHY ~
Hi Justin, Your video definitely helps in knowing the importance of mind maps and ways to make it better although i have a suggestion that you could have explained the whole process in simpler less scientific words. The concepts are simple in itself but the language made it seem complex and took quite some time to understand
It would be really appreciated if you discuss the subtopics of grinde. Could you please also make more videos on learning for practical subjects. I'm curious to learn how to apply textbook knowledge in a clinical setting.
Hi Justin! Thanks a lot for this video. I was wondering if you could elaborate more on the procedural subjects such as math and programming. I know you have briefly talked about how you could apply the concepts that you taught for those subjects, however you also said that there is some variation needed for procedural subjects. So if you could, please make a video on how to study math and learn it more efficiently.
Hello! Thank for the wonderful video. I discovered that I'm having problems with the interconnectedness part because my mindmaps have 'islands'. Anyways, please do a video on the cognitive processes. It will really help a lot.
first of all, Thank you for the video! It was perfectly well-structured and very helpful! Could you focus on the Grouping aspects in more detail in a next video. I think this is the most important step. There are so many options to group information so sometimes its very hard to pick which grouping is the best :)
Thanks for this one . At the beginning when I started to watch your videos on learning science , It seemed to me that Learning is easier but when I started to understand more about it , then according to that learning should be a little bit uncomfortable so that it can helps in real learning . I want you to make a video on Grouping part of the GRINDE . I becomes confused when it comes to making group and then challenging the reasoning behind the type of group . And after it becomes overwhelming to proceed . So I leave it . Could you give cleared clarification which lights all areas of it or the most important ones.
I would love to see the development process of a mind map about GRINDE aka the content of this video - including reviewing and correcting. I think everyone watching this video could relate to the subject - creating a mm. And the thoughts why some groupings, emphasizing etc are made would be more comprehensible.
Justin sung is the only individual i know who uses the keywords thinking, processing, cognitive etc in an indrusty about thinking, processing, cognition.
Thanks for amazing videos, but could you, please, think about making wordwritting more readeable on your examples? Or if you could just read them out loud. It's very hard to understand how and why you rearrange groups without being able to read the words. After each example like this I'm left with a feeling that I'm unsure whether I understood you or not.
12:29 Pls can you make a video to explain the processes Dr Sung? I've been doing mindmaps to a decent level thanks to your previous videos on GRINDE maps and mindmapping overall. I would like to know the cognitive processes involved in the stages of the GRINDE map to help me perform it better
Thanks so much Justin. I like to know if there's way that I can ask you a 'million dollar question' (personally) . I've following your work for almost 2years now
It will not work for majority of the people. The primary reason for problems in connecting the facts is mental fog caused by stress and bad diet. No single strategy will work before learning to relax and cutting sugar form diet. After repearing those two your mind will improve by itself. It's my journey. If you have problems with spacial orientation your mind is sick. Feeling of being lost is directly connected to it. Fix diet and learn to be relaxed. Eyes exercises are amazing. They can relax you in a matter of seconds. It will pay off hugely 😊
Hey Justin, excellent video! I have just one more question about mindmaps: after I finish my mindmap completely (doing everything right), is there any use of using it after its finish? Should I store it for later consultation or should I use active recall to remember stuff from it. What I mean is, after you finish mindmapping, what do you do after it?
relational is for the things inside the groups and interconnected is for the connection between the groups ? For building direction, what strategies can we use ? can it be like building a ind map to answer a question or to make an application in real life with the information/knowledge ?
25:24 Could you please say the order to learn the steps with and then deal with the first step to be learned in an in-depth manner?🙏🏾 Thanks in advance.
This is an informative video. Thank you. But, do you have any control over the frequency of ads in this video. Two ads every 90 seconds seems excessive and makes it hard to stick with the video to the end.
Hey thank you for this video. I saw you saying that applying your techniques to mathematics/programmation would require a little tweaking. Could you make a video on that?
Hi Justin, I'm wondering if you can show us another case study with students, featuring mindmaps with humanities subjects? For example, fine art, history, literature etc. I've noticed the groupability of elements of these subjects in a mindmap is not always evident, as they are not always very binary as science.
For the E - emphasize part. Do we need to clarify early our objective in making the mindmap/learning session and emphasize more on that? Or is it dynamic, in which we emphasize our findings of key concept (layer 1) throughout the session? I think a video more about D (directionality) and E (emphasize) would be helpful. Just a suggestion. Thanks!
Great video! I really appreciate the mnemonic GRINDE to really parse what makes for an effective mind map. That said, I do have a question: Say you are a beginner self-studying chemistry from a textbook, would you recommend making individual mindmaps for each chapter and then make a comprehensive mind map after going through the whole textbook? Or, would it be better to have one "incomplete" mind map that you fill in over time as you work through the textbook?
I think that he said somewhere that an ideal would be to make a mindmap that is as shallow as possible but it spans the entire textbook and then building upon it. He also mentioned that it is basically impossible for somebody without A LOT of experience and it's ok to go e.g. 50 pages at a time
Is it better to create a map for several disease processes onto one map? Or should I create a separate map for each topic individually? For example, skin cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer. Should I create one map with all 3 to be able to compare them? Or create a map of each individually?
Is minmapping a process that is done in iterations? I mean when I start studying a very new subject, I don’t think I would be able to create this level of map even if I master the techniques of mind mapping...what about you?

Amazing as always! please do a separate video about "Interconnected" because i think it is going to get confused with the "directional" thanks!
Amazing video! 💛 The screenshots of actual mindmaps really helped my comprehension of the material being discussed.
Thank you sir... for making easy to learn
Thank you for your content!
It has been very helpful!
Very rich in content and straight to the point, clear and concise! 👍👍
You are a life saver
Hi Justin,
Your video definitely helps in knowing the importance of mind maps and ways to make it better although i have a suggestion that you could have explained the whole process in simpler less scientific words.
The concepts are simple in itself but the language made it seem complex and took quite some time to understand
Thanks Justin
Please could go deeper on the GRINDE technique
It would be really appreciated if you discuss the subtopics of grinde. Could you please also make more videos on learning for practical subjects. I'm curious to learn how to apply textbook knowledge in a clinical setting.
Hi, Justin thank you for these wonderful videos. I really like your videos. I wanted to know how can we make mind-maps on paper?
Thank you so much sir😊
Very useful content for all the learners 👍.
Thankyou
Hey Justin could you make a video on how best and optimally to use A.I. to speed up and increase effectiveness of learning? Use cases
Hello sir!! Its a request if you can make a detailed vedio on study techniques which can help adhd. Please... It would of great help.. Thankyou 🙏
@@Dr.Jagriti i totally agreeee
Pls dive into the different cognitive processes required for each step of the Mindmap
first of all, Thank you for the video!
Justin sung is the only individual i know who uses the keywords thinking, processing, cognitive etc in an indrusty about thinking, processing, cognition.
dude, Please make a video on how to improve logical and critical thinking
Thanks for amazing videos, but could you, please, think about making wordwritting more readeable on your examples? Or if you could just read them out loud. It's very hard to understand how and why you rearrange groups without being able to read the words. After each example like this I'm left with a feeling that I'm unsure whether I understood you or not.
Really Great Video! Thank You!
Thank you! You are fantastic!
12:29 Pls can you make a video to explain the processes Dr Sung? I've been doing mindmaps to a decent level thanks to your previous videos on GRINDE maps and mindmapping overall. I would like to know the cognitive processes involved in the stages of the GRINDE map to help me perform it better
It would be really helpful if you made videos on the interconnected stuff
Such a valuable video, thank you Justin
Thanks so much Justin.
I like to know if there's way that I can ask you a 'million dollar question' (personally) . I've following your work for almost 2years now
Hi justin could you please make a video on effective and high yielding retrieval practice😊

Could you please say the order to learn the steps with and then deal with the first step to be learned in an in-depth manner?🙏🏾
Thanks in advance.
Yes, please, dive deeper! 😊
This is an informative video. Thank you. But, do you have any control over the frequency of ads in this video. Two ads every 90 seconds seems excessive and makes it hard to stick with the video to the end.
Idk about that because I got a total of 3 ads throughout the video
Hey thank you for this video. I saw you saying that applying your techniques to mathematics/programmation would require a little tweaking. Could you make a video on that?
Hi Justin, thank you for the video. May I know which app you use for the maps? Thanks again!
Hi Justin, I'm wondering if you can show us another case study with students, featuring mindmaps with humanities subjects? For example, fine art, history, literature etc. I've noticed the groupability of elements of these subjects in a mindmap is not always evident, as they are not always very binary as science.
Perhaps stupid but a vid on grouped would be good actually. Useful thought processes would be nice
Hello Justin, I love your content. I’m a businessman and how can you help me master mind mapping? Look forward to hear from you.
Thanks!
Thank you
Plz make a video on scaffolding
Feels like im gaining brain cells just listening to this guy
Good stuff!
Very very useful I information
Reminds of Pyramid Principle by Minto.
This a great video
Thank you Justin
Hey Justin, could it be beneficial to write linear notes during the lecture and create a mind map afterwards using the notes you took in class?
12:22 please dive into the first two steps in more detail i'm from syria and I have no way of getting access to your program
Can you post about best way for procedural learning and how can medical student learn surgeries
Like if you want ❤️
50 pages at a time
@@lfsdhnfjlsdbkgjsbk Ah, thank you for clearing that up, I appreciate it :)
Just thank you🎉
Is it better to create a map for several disease processes onto one map? Or should I create a separate map for each topic individually? For example, skin cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer. Should I create one map with all 3 to be able to compare them? Or create a map of each individually?
Is minmapping a process that is done in iterations? I mean when I start studying a very new subject, I don’t think I would be able to create this level of map even if I master the techniques of mind mapping...what about you?
Very helpful. More
