I'm at aww at how well behaved these students are, especially when the other students came in so quietly and left quietly. Great students and wonderful lesson!

Great lesson!!! She's an awesome teacher.. coincidence this will be my lesson next Monday and I will add a Graphic Organizer of How the character change from beginning to end with text evidence. Thank you for sharing your lesson with us. I have a better idea how to introduce the lesson.

I am very amazed at the quality of your lesson! I only have about 15 minutes to conduct my guided reading lesson. Do you know how I can conduct a quality lesson like that within 15 minutes?

She made minimal eye contact or connection with the boy. I don't know if she wanted to avoid contact with the camera as much as possible or what. But I found it uncomfortable to watch.

I agree. It was awful. I couldn’t stomach it. 😩

You don't need to have eye contact with people to achieve a connection with them.

At 16:25 she worked with him independently, I don't feel she did that intentionally. She seems to be a great and patient teacher. 💜

My takeaway from the guided lesson is I think all the children would have benefited at the beginning of the lecture by having them all use their expressive language. It seems the male student displayed a reserved manner.

I am sorry but literally the first 27 seconds she looked directly at the child and acknowledged what he said. Micah and the other children WERE acknowledged throughout. She even repeated what he specifically said. I can't believe that this is being picked apart when it was a phenomenal lesson using Guided Reading. I wish we could stop FISHING for problems instead of supporting the teachers who are doing this good work each day.
