Hey Everyone,
In this video I am showing you my room where I am staying whilst studying aerospace engineering at The University of Sheffield, UK. I wanted to make this video as a bit of fun so you all get to know a bit more about me and what kind of things I use everyday as a student.
If you're going to go to university soon maybe some of the things I have in my university room will help you decide what to take and what to leave behind.
If you also study aerospace you will probably relate to some of the things I have in my room!

Heyya! Just stumbled upon your channel and so far its been really awesome!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the videos :)
I got an offer today for Aerospace Engineering and I was just wondering what accommodation would you recommend? Keeping in mind how close the accommodation is to places like the diamond and what your experience with some are like?
Thanks for video making bro
thats a tiny room.... is the bathroom included?
dislike for not showing the bathroom
Do you know what the salary of an aerospace engineer is in the UK and what are the top paying companies?
From my current knowledge, in the UK, aerospace engineers are paid around £28k - £40k per year after a couple years of experience. I'm not fully sure who the top paying companies are but I'd guess it would be the large aerospace companies like Airbus as well as Formula 1 teams like Mercedes or Red Bull.
@@SA64R when I looked it up. The salaries for starting aerospace master degree engineers is around 35k-40k and as you gain like 20 years of experience salary can range from 60k-100k. My name is Bruck by the way and I am looking to apply to study aerospace engineering at Imperial. Is it better to do a MENG at first or to do A beng at one uni but then do a masters at Cambridge or oxford.
@@bruckert7751 Yeh starting salaries are not 35-40k. They're typically around 28-34k even at large companies like Airbus. I'm not sure on the best strategy of how to do a masters as I have just gone and done the MEng degree but I think MEng is great as it means you don't have to spend a full year to do an MSc as most MScs are September to September.
@@SA64R Thank you!
WWWWUUUUUAAAAAAAAAWWW you can really dance.

can u tell me about the fees for aerospace engineering?
Hey! I have got an offer to study MEng. Aerospace engineering with Industrial experience at the University of Sheffield. So I wanted to ask you whether University of Sheffield is good for aerospace engineering?
Firstly, congrats on your offer :)
I've personally only studied at two universities Uni of Sheffield and UNSW in Sydney. Both places the course is taught equally well and I believe the quality of what you learn is pretty much identical where ever you study.
The difference between different universities is all the other stuff they offer and I know Sheffield is really good for extra-curricular projects especially in the space engineering area so for this reason I'd say if you want to gain practical skills whilst studying then Sheffield is great.
I hope this helps answer your question.
@@SA64R Thanks a lot for answering! But one last suggestion/advice I would need from you is that I am confused between University of Bristol, University of Manchester and University of Sheffield. I have to select only two out of the three. Which two to choose for Aerospace Engineering? Your suggestion will help a lot!
@@aadityasyal7352 So it depends on why you're going to university.
If you want to focus on gaining industry experience then maybe Bristol is for you since its very close to big aerospace companies so you could somehow find a part-time job with them.
If you're interested in starting your own business during or after uni then maybe Manchester is best due to the size of the city and uni.
If you're interested in networking with future engineers and working on internationally award winning student projects and having the possibility to lead these projects I'd say choose Sheffield.
Overall each has its benefits, so it comes down to what you want to get out of university.
@@SA64R Thank you!
Which University is best for msc in aerospace ? (Cranfield or Sheffield )
Well since I have studied at Sheffield I'd say the teaching here is great, and probably quite similar to cranfield, however I know cranfield is greatly specialised in aerospace and have better connections with industry in that field. Overall I'd say Cranfield would be a better choice if it is solely for an MSc.
Why nothing on the top shelf?? 👀
Cannot let all the secrets out now can I ;)
Hey I have a Question? How is the Job opportunity for Aerospace Engineering in UK for Indians?
I personally and a UK citizen from birth therefore all aerospace roles are open to me in the UK. However, I do have friends that are international students and they have a wide range of prospects, though the challenging part is to find a company that will sponsor you for a visa. The UK has recently created a graduate visa so you can stay in the UK for work 2 years after without a sponsor, and in that time you can gain experience hopefully.
heyyyyy can you do a vid about the rquirments for aerospace engineering cuzcurrently im doing btec level 3 90 credit diploma can i get into the course if i get m p p
Hey, I can make a video in the near future about requirements to get into aerospace engineering at university. I personally did 3 A Levels in Maths, Physics and Further Maths. But I will aim to see what is required in various universities so I subscribe to easily get back to my channel :)
Where are you from? By your name i am thinking Gujarat, India?😅😅
I was born in the UK but my ancestors were from Gujurat. So you're some part right LOL :)
Is the university of Sheffield a party university
Every uni is a party uni if you think about it, honestly, it just depends on who you end up hanging out with. Some people party every day, some once a week and some rarely.
Iam a mechanical students. I will be do msc in aerospace engineering thanks
Hey, that's great to hear! In the near future I am going to be making a video about studying an integrated masters in aerospace so subscribe as you'll find it greatly insightful :)
@@SA64R Thanks bro,Thanks for reply message 🥰
Hey what GCSEs grades did u get ?
Hey, I got 5 A*, 1 A, 3 Bs and a C
@@SA64R oh I’m sorry can you tell me what grades did you get for science and maths did you do triple science
@@tragiclabz6297 So A* in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and A in Biology
@@SA64R oh my that’s sooo good i want to become a aerospace engineer but I don’t have grades I’m in yr 10 can you tell what to do ?
@@tragiclabz6297 if you find out what grades you need to take Maths and Physics at A-Level and get those you're still on track to studying aerospace at university.
I'd say to get top grades in maths & science subjects at GCSE is just to do as many past papers as possible to understand how to tackle the problems, often similar questions come up.
Going there after the summer what accommodation are you?
I've stayed in many in Sheffield.
Allen Court, Student Roost Central Place and IQ Brocco. They are all pretty much identical.
