She only does the YDP (double pike) for vault competitions typically (when they do two vaults) - it is hard on the ankles, reportedly. I hope she does it for the all around on Thursday tho.
@@Rbb0828We would all love for her to do it but I don’t think she will do it specially after the Team finals. Her Cheng is getting better, and with a clean Balance Beam routine the gold is easily hers.
Simone's vault was in the first rotation, where judges tend to be most conservative, and Rebeca's was the last of the night. And there were a lot of less difficult, less well executed vaults that they had to evaluate in between the two gymnasts....
@jcompton8507 yea, you're probably right, and judges are just people, but given how big this event is and the technology that I hope is available to them on the flooe, I hope they do better at scoring individual all around and eventually finals!

Yes Rebecca Andrade did on the same vault and I love Simone to bits but honestly she deserved it Rebecca’s cheng should be displayed in a museum
