    There’s a Jehova’s Witness that I know that is 80x smarter than I and beats me in debate all the time. It gets to the point that it even confuses myself. This video helps but ive been struggling to point to scripture in favor of Christianity when debating this person. Please pray that God can give me the grace and knowledge to witness and discern the truth. And if i do not know the truth, i pray God can spare me in my mortal ignorance

      Easy to pin them down
      They believe Yesus was Angel Michael so if that’s the case in Job 4:18 states God charges his angles with error making thr Jesus one prone to Error yet the Bible states in John 15:9 tht his the only person who Gor loved for he was perfect..2nd they believe the 2nd coming of the messiah wil happen secretly and in 1799 they predicted end of the world..which failed then 1874..1914..1915..1918 which all failed…
      The coming of the messiah will be known since in Rev 1:7 say all eyes shall see him …and when they bring the claim of saying thr the chosen ones…Use John 4:22 which says Salvation came to the Jews and gentiles wil be required to be grafted in Israel so as to receive the promise made to Abraham by God(Romans 11:11-26)..Don’t allow them change topic.. if he can’t defend his point just encourage him to seek for the truth out of JW Bible and commentary’s

      Read Luke 10. Speak the truth. If they don't listen to you SHAKE THE DUST OFF OF YOUR FEET AND MOVE ON. You are not called to debate with eloquent words but to preach the gospel truth in power. People need to REPENT and this includes they need to repent for believing lies. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free!!" The Holy Spirit will lead whoever seeks after truth into all truth. We still need to SAY SOMETHING, make disciples, teaching then to obey everything Jesus commanded. Read Ezekiel 3.

    I used to be a Jehovah's Witness and knew the New World Translations almost by heart. I hate to tell you, but their Bible does not say " before Abraham was, I Am" at John 8:58 , it say's " before Abraham was, I have been." They have cleverly changed any inference that Jesus is God. It's very hard to prove using the New World Translation. I didn't see it until I read the King James Bible and saw all the places they had changed God's Word to fit their doctrine. Now I know the truth about Jesus. It's hard to convince a Jehovah's Witness that Jesus is not a created angel named Michael. It's hard to convince a Jehovah's Witness to read another Bible besides theirs.

      Eyes Wide Open That's because the JW New World Translation as with other translation sticks to the oldest and most reliable source, examples like the NIV, ESV, etc. The King James Version of the bible does not apply the oldest and most reliable source at all and is solely based on what is translated in the 16th century. So these so called changes were in represents to the 4th century source instead of the altered 16th source.
      The belief of Michael and Jesus being one in the same is a belief from the 8th and or 9th century which is way beyond the JWs came into existence.
      John 8 : 58 does not prove Jesus is God because any man can investigate for themselves that ego eimi and ego eimi ho on are different and how common it was to the Greek people of that time who speaks this way, something of which I explained to the other guy who tried to mix Greek Words together.
      JWs are merely restorationist Christians for they care nothing more of strict adherence to the bible and Christians like that are rare, and are the only ones to be attacked time and time again by mainstream Christianity.

      Zoll, do you know who translated the New World Translation Bible and did they have any knowledge of the Hebrew or Greek languages? I beg you to compare the NWT to their own Greek interlinear. It is unbelievably inaccurate. Do your research, and not on JW. Org.
      Hebrews chapter one proves Jesus is not an angel. Read it for yourself, and pray for understanding.
      Revelation clearly states that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last. The one who is coming, who was dead and is now alive. Revelation chapters 1 & 2.
      Jehovah's Witnesses are not being attacked, they are being exposed. They portray our Lord and Savior as an angel. They reject his precious sacrifice by rejecting the bread and wine. They memorialize his death, yet he is not dead. He is alive, he is our MIghty King, our Lord of Lords, our Judge, our Savior. Praise be to Him! God bless

      Eyes Wide Open Do not be foolish. It is not a matter if how well someone knows the language and or not, it is by means if sheer biblical hermeneutics and respecting the source. The New World Translation, as with a with a few bible translations follow the Septuagint, the oldest and most reliable source the bible is based off off, anything outside of that is utter nonsense.
      The Interlinear Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses is based off of the 1550, for if you are unaware of that number, in English from a theological standpoint the 1550 is the Stephens Textus Receptus (among others). There are other Textus Receptus verisons that are known to be false, apparently this one is not, and what adds moe proof and fact is that the 1550 is on a majority of bible translations sites so anyone can compare the 1550 to any Interlinear that is based off the 1550, in turn, the Septuagint unlike other Textus Receptus translations that have been tampered with.
      I do not need to do the research, I know my hermeneutics, I know my Christology, I know the history of the church, the church fathers, and a plethora of other things, this includes the Great Awakening, and since this is a discussion about Jehovah's Witnesses, the Second and Third Awakening that is come out of the Restorationist Movement that has brought Christianity into the world stage.
      In the history of Jews, Jesus was a representative of God, one who has done Shaliah Principle also known as Angelic Agency, something of which all messengers of God are bounded to, hence Angel, meaning Malak, which in English means, Messenger. Jesus is basically an Angel, in this regard, a Messenger who is speaking the Word of God by means of Shaliah Principle. Hebrews chapter 1 only proves that Jesus has been exalted by God and made superior beforw his angelic brothers and nothing more, all sons of God, but this one, is of whom God exalted because he is the only begotten. Plus you have Apostle Paul to thank for he himself referred to the Christ as an Angel (Malak).
      Actually this is only Revelations chapter 1. The Septuagint proves that as well as biblical hermeneutics and it does not prove Jesus, a man who claims he has a God (John 20 : 17), is God. The Trinitarian claim doesn't even make logical sense with their own doctrine since they are confusing identities which their own doctrine insists you must not confuse. The first and the last was dead. Only a created being can say He was dead, but God cannot die, be killed or be subjected to death, that is outlandish and ridiculous for a creator of all things to be to killed by mere mortal man. Yahweh is immortal/incorruptible which means He cannot be dead. For this reason, it is quite impossible to identify Jesus as Yahweh the God.
      It is clear that these titles refer to creation and Jesus is the Beginning of the new creation since he is the firstborn out of the dead. Everything begins and ends with the Father's Word. The Genesis act of creation was accomplished by means of His spoken Word and that is why we find He is the first and the last in the book of Isaiah. He is where the Genesis act of creation began and since He will judge the world through a man He has appointed, He is where it will also end. God the Father created by means of His spoken Word and judges the world through His word at the end of the ages. God the Father will judge the world through him (Acts 17 : 31) and God the Father creates all things anew in him (Col 1 : 16-18; Revelation 21). God the Father now creates all things through the risen Christ, His Word become flesh. The new creation begins and ends at the Father's Word: the risen man, Jesus our Lord.
      Jehovah's Witnesses are not really exposed, they are Restorationist, for if they were indeed exposed, you'd be out there heeding to Jesus' command instead of them in terms of the foundation of the church, let alone the spread of the gospel, and the belief of Jesus being a representative of God under Shaliah Principle, an angel, has been a practice since the 8th century, heck, even back in the days of Apostle of what he said in the scriptures himself.
      How are they rejecting his death? These people put their lives at risk for the Great Commission even subject themselves God the Father and adhere to the teachings of which his Son proclaimed by means of Shaliah Principle, you are not being specific. Jesus also asked us to remember and or commemorate in regards to his death and believe in what is to come - the resurrection.
      Jesus is not God. For Jesus is the Son of God, as everyone in the bible have stated, from angels, to disciples, followers, Pharisees like Nicodemus, to Jews who wanted Jesus dead and succeeded,
      to demons and even Satan himself.
      All and all I suggest you learn about scripture and history of Christianity as well as the Bible itself first and this time perhaps chooses your words more wisely with facts instead of what you are being ded by Anti-Christians.

      Eyes Wide Open No, but I have been studying them for nearly a decade, as with other faiths including Judaism, Islam (Sunni and Shia), etc.
      I am a Christian and I have respect for what is true and should any falsehood be brought up, by means of Christian theology and biblical hermeneutics I will confute - something I have been doing on this channel for a while now.
      However here I am talking about actual facts about jws, on another video I am talking about both Christianity and Islam.
      That being said, I dislike people who lie and are dishonest and I am able to see if a faith is close to what is true and those who are far from what is true and not be fed misconception, conspiracy and hate by those who are against a faith and such persons only proves those they attack to be true to their word, so in this case you and the people you stick up for are only making jws stronger the same can be said for Muslim opponents.
      Ironically, only mainstream Christianity is dying off around the world, increased in the EU countries loke the UK and Asia as well as America, however not the minority faiths that include JWs.
      Also I didn't address before, but I from France, I currently live in the US and I study thr history of Christianity and Religion.

    Good video. There is a needed correction. “Jehovah” is not a Greek translation of the Hebrew “Yahweh.” Jehovah is a German transliteration of Yahweh. Hebrew is a consonantal language read from right to left, and scribes later added vowel pointings to retain the pronunciation. But no vowel pointings were added to Yahweh since in Jewish tradition the Name of God was not to be pronounced. Instead, they would say “adonai” which means lord. German theologians took the Hebrew consonants as read from right to left and placed them left to right as they would be read in German-JHVH. Then they took the vowel pointings of adonia (adone in German) and place the corresponding German vowels between the consonants going from right to left. The result is Jehovah. In the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible called the Septuagint the translators translated Yahweh as “kurios” which means “lord.”

      The evolution of the name Yahweh to Jehovah has a complex history - for example; the proposed summary would not encompass the Latin aspect in transliteration, as the Hebrew texts translated into Latin and which represented the Tetragrammaton as 'IHVH', it was the European scholars attempts at vocalizing this, that eventually lead to the emergence the pronunciation of 'Jehovah'.
      That said, this process would not be as straightforward as taking the consonants and placing German vowels between them, as we find the development of the name predates that of Hebrew vowel pointing among European scholars.

  • @Harpazo_to_Yeshua

    Colossians 1:15-17 -- _"Who is the image of the invisible God,_ the firstborn of every creature:
    For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: *all things were created **_by_** Him,* and for Him: And He is before all things, and _by Him all things consist."_
    So it clearly states that Jesus is the _image of invisible God Almighty._ Putting that together with John 1:1-3, where John says Jesus is the [Spoken] *WORD* of God? This means that when God _Spoke_ for the first time, God Almighty chose to become visible in Form and this is Who Jesus is: *the visible Form of God Almighty.* This _does not_ at all mean Jesus is somehow separate in power to God Almighty, nor on any lower form of Deity.
    So any other verse you quote should be interpreted in this light.
    John 1:1-3 -- "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God.
    The same was in the beginning with God. *All things* were *made **_by_** Him;* and *without Him was **_not any thing_** made* that was made."
    Angels worship Jesus, therefore Jesus _must_ be God Almighty.
    What do you make of: Genesis 1:26-27 -> "Let *Us* make man in *Our* Image..." ?
    *US* and *OUR* are *PLURAL* (more than one), and yes, it then goes back to singular. This is clearly showing the *THREE* in *ONE* God clearly spoken of now in the New Testament.
    ================================================
    *Jesus is God Almighty!*

    One can only worship God Almighty. The 3 wise men *worshiped* Jesus when He was born:
    Matthew 2:11 -- "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and *worshiped Him:* and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh."
    Jesus *did not* rebuke Thomas when Thomas called Jesus LORD and GOD...
    John 20:28-29 -- "And Thomas answered and said unto Him, *"My LORD and my GOD."* _Jesus saith unto him,_ *"Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."*
    Jesus is God Almighty.
    Matthew 14:33 -- "Then they that were in the ship came and *worshiped Him,* saying, Of a truth Thou art the *Son of God."*
    Jesus did not rebuke them for *worshiping* Him! One can only worship God Almighty!
    Jesus came humbly and did not speak plainly to most people when here because He had a mission to complete. He *did* hint at His Divinity a few times, but you have to look for it and be open to accepting the truth!
    Look at John 8:56-59 -- "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad." Then said the Jews unto him, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?" Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, *_I AM."_* Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by."
    The Jews picked up stones to cast at Jesus because Jesus was clearly proclaiming to be the *_I AM_* of the Old Testament scriptures, the One GOD Who spoke to Moses and said "I AM that I AM." They wanted to stone Jesus because they thought Him to be committing blasphemy for claiming to be GOD Almighty.
    -
    Acts 7:59 -- "And they stoned Stephen, *calling upon **_God,_* and saying, *_Lord Jesus,_* receive my spirit."
    Stephen knew Jesus is God.
    Micah 5:2 -- "But thou, *Bethlehem* Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall *He* come forth unto me that is to be *Ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have been **_from of old,_** from EVERLASTING."*
    Jesus was born in *Bethlehem!*
    Isaiah 7:14 -- "Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a _virgin shall conceive,_ and bear a *_Son,_* and shall call His name _Immanuel."_
    Jesus was born from a virgin! Immanuel means *GOD with us*
    Read the prophecy of Jesus' coming in *Isaiah 9:6* -- "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, *The Mighty GOD,* The *Everlasting Father,* The Prince of Peace."
    Matthew 1:22-23 -- Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the LORD by the prophet, saying: "Behold, *a virgin shall be with Child, and shall bring forth a Son,* and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, *God with us."*
    -
    Isaiah 44:6 -- *"Thus saith the LORD, the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; **_I AM the First, and I AM the Last; and beside Me there is no God."_*
    Isaiah 48:12 -- *"Hearken unto Me, O Jacob and Israel, My called; I AM He; I AM the First, I also AM the Last."*
    *Jesus* says in: Revelation 1:8 -- *"I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the ALMIGHTY."*
    Revelation 21:6 *"It is done. I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. ..."*
    Jesus says again in Revelation 22:13 -- *_" I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."_*
    Many people quote the other verses where Jesus is leading people to not realize His Divinity, but those people do not understand that Jesus spoke that way to most back then because Jesus came to humble Himself and die for us. There are exceptions where Jesus revealed His Divinity, but it had to be for good reason (to provoke pharisees, especially). This was all coordinated.
    Paul says it clearly in Philippians 2:5-11 -- "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him _the form of a servant,_ and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, *He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death,* even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: That at the Name of JESUS _every knee should bow,_ of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father."
    1 Timothy 3:16 -- "And without controversy _great is the mystery_ of godliness: *God was manifest in the flesh,* justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
    *Jesus is God Almighty!*
    Revelation 21:3-7 -- "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the *tabernacle of God is with men,* and *He* will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and *God Himself shall be with them,* and be *their God.* And *God* shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And *He that sat upon the throne* said, Behold, *I* make all things new. And *He* said unto me, Write: for these Words are True and Faithful. And *He* said unto me, *It is done. I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.* I Will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of Life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and *I Will be his GOD,* and he shall be My son."
    ^ What you see above ^ is *JESUS CHRIST* - The ALPHA and OMEGA (Revelation 1:8 ; Revelation 1:11 ; Revelation 22:13 ; Isaiah 41:4 ; Isaiah 44:6 ; Isaiah 48:12) - speaking and He is saying that He Will be their *GOD.*
    *Yes, Jesus is God Almighty! :)*

      @ Liberty and Justice ... my friend the Bible that you are using uses the word by, but in the original Greek the Greek word is Dia which means "through". Why do other Bibles use the word through? And that Bible that you're using which is a biased translation the King James version. New Bible translations use the word through not by. Go to Strong's Concordance and look up the word by and see that it is the Greek word DIA. The Greek word Dia means through not by. So it is "through" not " by ". Everything was created through Jesus not by Jesus. Pretty big difference. The only question for you is why do those other Bible translations use the word through? And by the way many of those Bibles are not the new world translations of the Holy scriptures. So why do they use the word through just like the New World Translation?? It is because the newer Bible translations have discovered that the original Greek word means "through". Just something for you to think about my friend. Using the context of who Philip is, and only meaning possible for the phrase "the Father", Jesus answers and directly tells Philip: "If you've seen Me, you've seen Him. If you've seen Me, you've seen God Himself."
      This, also, is irrefutable.

    Show us where the word TRINITY is in any bible. I am He? I am the Christ! I am the Messiah! I AM THE SON! You have 4 or 5 scriptures that you beat around, struggling to make your point. And still not making any sense. And this is preparation? We don't fight with the scriptures, but we do speak the truth. All of your narratives can be easily knocked down. The problem is you don't want to hear God's word. If you had the proper respect for the Bible you would not attack the NWT. For years we used the KJV and still do. Even though that you've been very successful in removing Jehovah's name the 7000 times. And in some of the modernized ones it has been completely removed. Anyone can print a book and remove any name. We have and always will, make his name known. That's what Jesus did and you choose not to. You seem to wanna make a name for yourself. " Father, Pastor, Reverend and so forth. Did Jesus come in Jesus name? Did Jesus praise himself? Did he praise, pray to, and worship " my father, my God, the One that sent me?" The ONE and only true God is no committee of gods. The thought of Jesus being God on earth is unscriptual and disrespectful to Jesus. " it is in vain that they keep worshiping me". We do not want people to serve Jehovah because we say so. Serve him because you love him. That's what the Son of God Jehovah said. Serve him because he is the One that gave us the ransom, death of HIS DEAR SON.

      The word Trinity is a description of the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy spirit. Just as the word omniscient or omnipresent are words we use to describe God but equally cannot be found in the bible. There are MANY words we create to describe concepts which we find in the bible. The REAL question is, is the CONCEPT found in the bible to support the word which means Trinity.The answer is, absolutely! Which is why the JWs can't argue on substance only trivialities. The question I have for you is, if Jesus were just Micheal the Arch Angel come in the flesh, than what was the purpose of his life and death? How does an angle reconcile man to God? You get so caught up in the invention of the word Trinity and yet "Jehovah" is totally alien to the original Prophets let alone the Apostles. None of these people would have any concept of this "Jehovah" word and yet you protect it like it's the tetragrammaton itself. Do you ever wonder why your organization puts so much stock Into a 14th century invention?

      @Riaz Qureshi my friend the actual bulletproof case is found at Revelation 21-6 and 7 with all due respect you never made a comment on that scripture because that one scripture very explicitly proves that only the father is the Alpha and the Omega. Because nowhere in scripture has Jesus ever called anyone his son or his sons also the father has never called anyone his brothers. Jesus in the scriptures always calls his disciples his brothers not his sons. So if you can show me a scripture where Jesus has ever quoted calling anyone his son's then I will believe that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. Trying to use implied scriptures does not make the trinity the proof that it needs. The scripture that I just showed you is an explicit scripture not an implied scripture like you try to use . Also there is nowhere in the Bible that says that the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost are one God. What's interesting in the King James version could not prove the Trinity so they inserted a spurious scripture at 1st John 5:7 but they never said even in that scripture use the word "one God " it just says "one" not the word one God, because one can mean anything one in purpose when an agreement Etc. So anyway my friend just something to think about. And I am not trying to win an argument I am just showing you what the bible really teaches. Thank you for your comments

      @@jazzbassf Brother, Revelation 21:6-7 proves my case. The fact that Both Jesus and the Father are saying that statement is bc they are 1 (See John 10:30)
      Jesus says he is the first and the last multiple times in Revelation the same as YHWH does in Isaiah 48:12 proving their equality in essence.
      You said there isn't a scripture where the trinity is shown. I thought this too until I read the old testement carefully. Please read these verses showing that yes God is 1 in essence but he has a complex in his nature as being 3 persons:
      As you can see there are 2 LORD statements here:
      "Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens." - Genesis 19:24
      Also here there are 3 divine persons in isaiah speaking as YHWH":
      “Come near to Me, hear this:
      I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit
      Have sent Me.” - Isaiah 48:16-17
      As you can see even the Old testament knew that God was complex in his unity.
      And finally in the new Testament proving that Jesus is God:
      "And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
      - Mark 14:62
      This verse in Mark is a direct deference to Daniel 7:13-14 showing that the son of man will receive an everlasting dominion and all nations will worship him the same way they worship the father proving that God is multiple in his 1 being.

      @@infinityApologeticsClips yes at John 10:30 Jesus says the father and I are one. However I John 17:11 he elaborates what he meant by that he said that his Apostles and him and his father are one. So he's talking about one in purpose and agreements not one God otherwise the apostles would be God too. And of course I don't think you believe in polytheism. But still my friend you haven't shown me a scripture that says that Jesus ever called anyone his sons only the father calls people his sons and you cannot make an assumption the Jesus is one God with the father because of the Alpha and the Omega. That is just an assumption or an implication it's not explicit. In order to convince a person that the Trinity is explicit you would have to show where it says the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are one God. There's not one single scripture in the Bible that says that. Again thank you very much for your comments and many blessings to you if you can see what the bible really teaches about the father who is the only true God. And please don't tell me that Jesus must be a false god because he's called the god that would not make sense because the word god means a mighty one you cannot deny the fact that Jesus is a mighty one or a mighty God. He is never called The Almighty God anywhere in the Bible. You can find implications of that but not explicit thank you my friend.

    I am not a J.W., OR a Mormon, I am a BORN-AGAIN, BLOOD-BOUGHT, BIBLE-ONLY, TRUE-BLUE, in LOVE with my GOD and His Son--Christian man. But I HAVE to say something here. If there IS ONE area of theology where the J.W.S' are CORRECT--it's this VERY SUBJECT. Christ NEVER said he was God! He ALWAYS GLORIFIED the FATHER. Jesus TALKED to the FATHER--God does NOT talk to Himself. Jesus PRAYED to the FATHER. God does NOT PRAY to HIMSELF. Jesus said things like. "Not MY will, but YOURS (the FATHER'S) be done." Also, "...mine is to do the WILL OF MY (my what?) FATHER." Also: "I can do NOTHING by MYSELF." He said THIS: "My FATHER does the WORK." Jesus even referred to the FATHER as the "ONLY TRUE GOD." The word "Trinity" and ALL those trinitarian "terms" are not only COMPLETELY ABSENT from the pages of Holy Writ, we find their ORIGINS in ancient Greek Mythology, which the Roman Catholic church BORROWED" from! Furthermore, unlike the FATHER, Jesus "came into the world" like you and I. And, just John the Baptist, Christ had to "GROW STRONG IN SPIRIT." WHY. Why did "God" have to "grow strong in spirit?" Dear brother's, answer me this! Scripture CLEARLY declares: God (the FATHER) GAVE Jesus "ALL POWER and AUTHORITY." WHY? Would he not--as GOD--already HAVE this? But what about THIS? Read your New T. CAREFULY; scripture even says God (The FATHER) GAVE Jesus the...HOLY SPIRIT!! Now wait a minute. You are frantically attempting to form some kind of reasonable apologetic, but HONESTLY--how do you QUALIFY your reply in light of these SERIOUS problems? How many times in the Old T. does God (the FATHER) SAY He is NOT A MAN?!? Do you honestly believe baby Jesus was (literally) GOD? Please say you entertain no such foolishness. We know that Jesus spoke as both MAN and GOD. You unwittingly fall "prey" to this somehow PROVING Jesus is God. But you fail to grasp the SIMPLE reason WHY he sometimes speaks the ACTUAL WORDS of the Father. Is this NOT what we would expect from time-to-time? Would the FATHER not speak DIRECTLY THROUGH His "one and only BEGOTTEN Son" now and then? Well, of COURSE He would--and He did! Look at the NAME itself; there's a revelation right THERE! Jesus means, Savior. What does CHRIST mean? It means..."The ANOINTED ONE.." So TELL me, good brother's, WHO anointed WHO? And WHY is it that the FATHER knows the TIME of the Son's return--but the Son himself does NOT? I could go into this MUCH deeper, but if you do not "SEE" it yet, perhaps in time. We are praying for you, beloved brother's and sister's in the faith. My love to you. God (The FATHER) bless you.

      raymond Gabrelcik/ Ray, I appreciate your comment & your candidness. Please consider this. John 3:16 is arguably the most famous Script from God's Word. Jesus said, & I implore you to pray on this deeply: that a person either "Has everlasting life, or he perishes." The idea that we have something in us, either "Spirit" or "Soul" that is immortal, is NOT a Bible teaching, it is straight out of Plato's playbook & is indeed a sly variation of that first venomous lie that Satan told Eve, that when you die, you don't really die, ie. your flesh dies but another part of your personhood is indestructible. The Bible states that people will be resurrected by Christ Jesus if they are worthy to receive a resurrection or they will never see the light of day again. When YHWH told Adam, "Son on the day you eat from the tree, you will positively DIE. He didn't even come close to inferring; I'm going to burn you consciously on fire forever. Jehovah is a GOD of.Love & Justice & neither would be applied as a sentence for 70 yrs. of Sin. It would be more like (INSANE) !!! Even more than the Nature of God; the misunderstanding of Hell & what it really is, Confounds my psyche & sensibilities the utmost. The wages Sin pays is Death, we PERISH, we no longer get to enjoy life, it is indeed punishment, it is written, it is biblical. The Lazuras parable is not describing afterlife, it would not reflect conciliation with the rest of Scripture if it was. The Lake of Fire is Symbolic of the second death from which there is no escape, the smoke of which is the emblem of everlasting torment that it represents. That is why it says that (Death.& HELL,ie.the Common Grave of Mankind,) are cast into the Lake of Fire, because Death itself will be swallowed up FOREVER. @@j.wat.3437 Wow, this new RUclips update absolutely sucks. I literally just found all your comments since last week. I didn't even know you replied. This is why I like the older ways. They actually work. Anyway, I managed to find a couple of verses in reference to God in the Old Testament, confirmed by Jesus in the New. One of these verses include Zechariah 12:10, confirmed in John 19:37. Zechariah 12 is all about God and his people Israel, with God speaking. You can tell that it's God because the phrase "saith the LORD" is used, which is the same in translation as "saith Jehovah." With that context in mind it can very well be understood that the pronouns "I" and "me" are a direct refrence by Jehovah God to himself, and the pronoun "they" is in relation to the Nation of Israel. Zechariah 12:10:
      "And *I* will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon *me* whom they have pierced..."
      John 19 quotes this verse in refrence to the soldiers piercing "him" with a spear. John 19:36-37
      "For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on *him* whom they pierced."
      The problem arises when one understands that Jesus was the one pierced with a spear, not the Father. This contradicts the idea that the Father was speaking in Zechariah 12:10 and upholds the fact that Jesus is Jehovah God.

      @@ingodwetrust7778 it's good to hear from you! And you're right spot on. That is Jehovah talking in the 12 chapter of Zachariah. The book is referring to the temple being rebuilt, the protection of the Nation and the restoration of true worship. The Almighty speaks it. Jesus was pierced just as Jehovah God said. But we cannot overlook that it was Jesus hanging up there. It was Jesus crying out " my God my God ." The pain that Jehovah felt was seeing his son suffer, but the joy of him doing it. Remember it was Jehovah's purpose for Jesus to go through this. For the purpose that we can be reconciled to God. This reconciliation was in the future. After his death and resurrection he entered heaven again. He has built the heavenly temple and restored true worship in the " time of the end." Who leads it? Who should we follow? The appointed King, Prince, Ruler, Head of the Christian Congregation. Jesus Christ. The Israel of God is heavenly.

    I know this is an old video but there is some incorrect information regarding the word Jehovah. Jehovah is not a Greek word, it is a latinized form of יְהֹוָה and it does not appear in any of the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Secondly, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, the Septuagint, uses ο κύριος to translate יְהֹוָה. and does not use Jehovah. Jehovah is a poor phonetic transliteration of Yahweh.

    • @ewankerr3011
      @ewankerr3011 4 года назад +1

      You forgot to mention that not only is the word Jehovah not in any Greek NT text but that neither is the word Jesus or the word God. This is because they are English words and so we would not expect to find them in the Greek text. However, there are numerous copies of the Septuagint which still used the ancient Hebrew letters for YHWH and so you appear to be incorrect in this matter. Likewise, there are a number of Jewish scholars on RUclips insisting that the divine name was pronounced Yehowah (with the W sounding as a v) and certainly NOT Yahweh.

    • @olmeckrav
      @olmeckrav 4 года назад

      Ewan Kerr JWs themselves admit the YHWH does not exist in the Greek scriptures but they insist in inserting it. Why?
      They claim the Greek scripture were corrupted. Is so, what else is corrupted? How can anyone trust the Greek scriptures after that?
      JWs also know that the first time the word Jehovah appeared in writing was in the 13th century when Raymundus Martini, a Catholic monk, translated the YHWH. Why use a Catholic incorrect translation that mixed up ADONAI and YHWH as their name? I don’t get it.

    • @ewankerr3011
      @ewankerr3011 4 года назад +1

      I am sure the JWs can speak for themselves. The divine name does feature in ancient Hebrew in copies of the Septuagint from which the early Christians quoted/copied. It seems a distinct possibility that there may have been copies of the divine name in early copies of the NT which are now lost to us as most if not all the early copies are.I am not aware of the claim that he JWs claim the NT is corrupted and have never seen this in their literature. Perhaps you can provide a reference.They use the name, I guess, because that is the name of God found in the King James Bible and most other English language Bibles of the time. Indeed, there are RUclips videos by Jewish language and Biblical specialists readily available online who argue that he name must be pronounced Yehowah ( with the W spoken as a V)Few, if any, object to the name Jesus when we know it was most likely Yeshua . But Jesus is the traditional name and has been used for centuries.

      In that same verse it tells you also the gospel of the Christ is an image of God which is a direct reference to Colossians 1 : 3 and Hebrew 1 : 3.
      Jesus isn't God for he is a mediator who affirmed Shema Yisrael several times in Scripture. Shema is a an of being heard by God and knowing that the true God is the Father, Shema Yisrael or command/law is based off of the verse in the Hebrew text or the Torah - Deuteronomy 6 : 4 and we see Jesus make a direct reference to the Shema in Mark 12 : 28-34 and Matthew 22 : 34-46.

      What Did Jesus Mean When He Said That Only God is Good? (Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19)
      Jesus is not saying here that he isn't "good". The point Jesus was making here was that God is good in the absolute and consummate sense. Jesus recognized God as the ultimate standard of what is good. (Ps. 25:8; Zech. 9:17) Though Jesus Christ had this quality of moral excellence, he would not accept “Good” as a title. That is why he said to the one who addressed him as “Good Teacher”: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.” (Mark 10:17, 18) So Jesus was saying that no one is as good as God is, not even Jesus himself. God is good in a way that separates him from Jesus.

      Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:2-0-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond scripture.

      This belief began in the 8th and or 9th century and had been believed by mostly Restorationist Christians, even beyond the second and third awakening if you count History of Christianity. The only difference is some also believe Jesus/Michael is God while others do not, others believe either an pre-existing Jesus/Michael for Jesus was not Jesus until prior his birth and so forth. This doctrine did not originate with the Jehovah's Witnesses.
      They, as well as others, even myself, do not believe in hell being the lake of fire and there is a verse that even proves this and what the lake of fire actually is, that is if you adhere to the original source of the bible, in addition to that any man who has read the Hebrew Old Testament they would see how God deals with people who pass people alive through the fire let alone God's emotional reaction and what God had allowed to happen to the likes of Ahaz or that of Menassah, who ended up begging to God via repentance.

      bsymph Friend, it is not about doubt or assuming. When it comes to biblical hermeneutics, there is always a how and a why and there are indeed verses in scripture that shows how connected Jesus and Michael were or in this case how is it the pre-existing Jesus, before being called Immanuel or Jesus, his name and status in heaven before he was born of a woman into the law and after becoming the Christ, knowing his position and what is to come and so forth.
      The problem here is not with Jesus Michael or not, the thing that seems to cause a stirr is Jesus' status of a messenger, a representative of God by means of Shaliah Principle.

    Jesus and God are clearly TWO distinctive entities. Many scriptures refer to JESUS being the SON OF GOD not the other way around. The fact that JESUS incarnation was clearly seen by humans means he's not GOD, because GOD IS INVISIBLE and no one has seen God and lived!
    Exodus 33: 20. But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
    1 Timothy 1: 17. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
    According to the bible Jesus clearly wasn't IMMORTAL since he died on a stake.

    Out of his own mouth he proclaimed GOD name, not his own.

      Timodagreat31 Just a few things brother, Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the God the Father as the Son of God.
      In Colossians 1:15 it says "The Son is the image of the invisible God". In the same way John 14:9 also says "Anyone who has SEEN ME has SEEN the FATHER" which actually highlights the idea that the disciples actually walked with Jesus Christ being the Son of God as the manifestation of God.
      Also to highlight the issue of immortality, Jesus Christ had to come down to earth in the form of a man in order to save us from our sins. In order for Him to do that he would need to take the form of a human for the physical death to occur and reconnect us back to the Father (John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me")
      I hope that makes a bit more sense. God bless you

      @@divi1223 Ill reply to John 14:28 and ex 33:20, but first I want to expand on the verse about Jesus being equal to God:
      "Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage..." NIV
      "Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to..." NLT
      "Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God..." KJV
      In your own Kingdom Interlinear of the Gk scriptures (it reads choppy because its literal word for word from the Greek): "who in form of God existing not snatching he considered the to be equal to God..."
      Even in your own Greek it shows Jesus as equal. Look for yourself. You can see the WT added in parenthesis (things), trying to take away his equality, but that is not what it actually says, and you can read it word for word on their website. The other bible translations got it right. NWT had to change it to fit their beliefs.
      Once you believe Philippians 2:6 & 7 as it is actually written in Greek, John 14:28 and exodus 33:20 make absolute sense. Phil 2:6 & 7 reveals to us that Jesus laid aside his equality, divesting himself of his heavenly spirit glory, to become a human being. He was in the form of God, but then he took on himself the form of a servant. He became a man, so that he could identify with man as his high priest and mediator, as only a man could do. The WT teaches he turned back into an angel Michael, but he could not have, as scripture tells us ONLY a man can intercede for a man as high priest Hebrews 3:1, 2:14-18. This means the instant Jesus turns back into a spirit being he would no longer be able to intercede and be mediator. We would all be doomed. He MUST remain a man, possible only by a bodily resurrection. But back to John 14:28... as a man Jesus laid aside his divine rights (phil 2:7) and because he became human, God was greater. This does not contradict because John 1:1, 18 says "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..." Here we see two in the trinity. BOTH are called God, and there's only one TRUE God which means any other God is a false god. Because Jesus the Word became a human, God is greater. How does this work exactly I dont know, God is so much bigger than we can ever fully understand. So I trust the scripture, I believe everything it says including John 1:1.
      Exodus 33:20... According to scripture people have seen God in other forms. They haven't seen him in all his heavenly spirit glory. But he has appeared as other forms outside of his heavenly glory: a burning bush, pillar of fire, a great cloud... in Exodus 24:10, 11 "And they saw the God if Israel, and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God and did eat and drink."
      No one can see the TRUE form of God but people have seen manifestations of him in various forms (I only listed a scant few). Jesus is also a manifestation of God in human form. They could look at Jesus therefore and not die.

      *In God We Trust*
      Isaiah 9:6: Mighty God is an error and you are misinterpreting "Everlasting Father" to mean Jesus Father who is YHWH. You forget that the day of Jesus resurrection he told Mary to tell his disciples he had not yet ascended to his Father and our Father, to His God and our God.....so Jesus clearly had a Father and a God....which means Jesus is a lesser god.
      So let's examine this more carefully.
      *ISAIAH 9:6*
      *"Everlasting Father"*
      The context of Isaiah 9:6 and how it relates to the rest of the Bible clearly shows there is a mis translation because Yahshua is never called the “Everlasting Father” anywhere else in Scripture. We do not build our understanding of who the Messiah is based on one scripture reference.
      The word translated “everlasting” is more accurately translated as “age,” Isaiah 9:6 is conveying the message that Jesus will be called the
      *“father of the age to come."*
      What age? THE CHURCH AGE, the AGE OF SALVATION, and the Age of the Millennial Kingdom of Yahshua on earth.
      In OT Hebrew times, anyone who was the first to do or begin anything new was called its “father.” *For example:*
      *1. Jabal was the first one to live in a tent and raise livestock, the Bible says, “he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock” (Gen. ****4:20****).*
      *2. Jubal was the first inventor of musical instruments, he is called, “the father of all who play the harp and flute” (Gen. **4:21**).* Here, as in Isaiah 9:6, scripture is not using “father” in the sense of literal father because both Jabal and Jubal were descendants of Cain, and all their descendants died in the Flood. *“Father”* is being used in reference to one who was the first to do something, or for someone who was important in some way.
      *Because the Messiah will be the one to establish the age to come, raise the dead saints, and rule over all creation, he is called “the father of the coming age.”*
      *"Mighty God"*
      This is also mistranslation in Isaiah 9:6. Readers familiar with the Semitic languages know that a man who is acting with God’s authority can be called “god" using the lowercase "g" in reference to lords, kings, judges, prophets, and even the children of Israel. For example:
      *_"I (GOD) said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'_* Psalms 82:6
      Jesus quoted this verse in John 10:34-36 to defend himself against the FALSE allegation by the Jews that he was declaring himself to be equal to God (YHWH). Jesus of course disagreed with their false accusation and declared himself to be the Son of God and NOT God the Son.
      The original Greek has no upper and lowercase letters so "theos" can be translated as God, meaning YHWH (the one true God), or as god, meaning lord, master, judge, king, ruler, or one with authority. The casual reader of the Bible would not know these things about the word God and god, or that it is up to the translator's to determine whether the context indicates the use of uppercase (God) should be used or lowercase god.
      Since most translators have a trinitarian bias, it is no surprise that several key scriptures have uppercase (God) where lowercase (god) should be used for the context when referring to Jesus. If YHWH's name had not been removed in over 7,000 instances and replaced with God or LORD then this confusion would not be there. LORD, Lord, and lord also cause confusion. The lord Jesus is Adoni, But the LORD God is ADONAI....and that is a BIG difference.
      A clear example of the Trinitarian bias of most translators can be clearly seen by comparing Isaiah 9:6 (el = “God”) with Ezekiel 31:11 (el = “ruler”). *If calling the Messiah "el" made him God, then the Babylonian king would be God also.*
      Isaiah 9:6 is calling the coming Messiah a mighty ruler or mighty hero, not Mighty God. If you want to use mighty god, that is fine as long as you understand the lowercase distinction that "god' means Adoni or lord, and does not mean ADONAI YHWH who is LORD. The correct rendering should be the use of "god" (lowercase) to identify an appointed authority, king, or ruler. However, it is an error to use the uppercase "God" because that is reserved for YHWH alone.
      The phrase "Mighty God" is a mistranslation: English makes a clear distinction between “God” and “god." So a better translation for the English reader would be “mighty hero,” or “divine hero.” Martin Luther and James Moffatt translated the phrase "Mighty God" as “divine hero” in their Bibles.
      Another clear example of the translator's error is where “God” is used for powerful earthly rulers in Ezekiel 31:11 when referring to the Babylonian king. How can a earthly king be God? It should be rendered god, not God.
      The phrase translated “Mighty God” in Isaiah 9:6 in the NIV is the Hebrew "el gibbor." That very phrase, in the plural form, is used Ezekiel 32:21 where dead “heroes” and "mighty men" are spoken of. In Ezekiel the same phrase is translated “mighty leaders” in the NIV, and “the strong among the mighty” in the KJV and NASB. When used in the singular, it can refer to one “mighty leader."
      *Emmanuel-God with us?* Matthew 1:22-23
      The Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon says the meaning of Immanuel is
      *‘with us is God.’*
      In the Bible, a title or a name is not necessarily saying something about the one who bears it, but rather about the God who annoints them and whom they serve. For example,
      Samuel means ‘his name is God’;
      Daniel means ‘God is my judge’;
      Ezekiel means ‘God strengthens‘;
      Nehemiah means ‘Yah comforts’;
      Joshua means ‘Yahweh is salvation’;
      Josiah means ‘Yah supports’;
      Hezekiah means ‘Yah strengthens’.
      There are many more examples to demonstrate the point.
      Immanuel, refers to the God who begat Yahshua and anointed him Messiah. No one in Yahshua's day would have thought he was God in human form. Obviously, based on the words of His Father which Yahshua spoke, his miracles, and his powers, God had visited his people through his prophet and Son Yahshua. see John 3:1-2
      Conclusion. Yahshua is the exalted Son of God in Heaven. He is an appointed god (lord Adoni), but he is not the one true LORD GOD ADONAI YHWH.
      When you use uppercase "G" in the title *God,* you are referring to YHWH, not Yahshua. Yahshua gets a lowercase "g" for the title god.
      lord Yahshua
      LORD YHWH
      lord = Adoni
      LORD = ADONAI
      god = any divinely appointed person.
      God = YHWH.
      Get it?

      *In God We Trust*
      In addition to my previous comment. I will address your use of Hebrews 1:1 which has an obvious error because it conflicts with verse 9 which you conveniently left out. Please read on and get educated my friend.
      HEBREWS 1:8-9 KJV
      *_8. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom._*
      *_9. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows._*
      Verse 9 in English Bibles makes it obvious that verse 8 contains another trinitarian mistranslation.
      *"God, your God"* in verse 9 clearly means God is Yahshua's God, therefor Yahshua is not God in verse 8, but rather a lesser god that is given a throne from God that will last forever.
      Hebrews 8 and 9 in most English Bibles are in conflict. This means one of them has been tampered with or mistranslated. Both verses cannot be correct as translated. There can be NO conflicts in the Bible, otherwise it is not a correct representation of His word.
      If Yahshua is YHWH in verse 8 and 9, then YHWH is talking to himself, which is an absurdity. Such a belief conflicts with numerous scriptures that clearly say Yahshua is a lesser god (prophet, king, judge, magistrate, mighty one), having been appointed by his Father, and subject to him. 1 Corinthians 15:27-28
      In Hebrews 1:8, the phrase: *"But of the Son he says"* is not in the original Greek. The original NT Greek manuscripts translates word for word to English as follows:
      *_“Toward but the son the throne of you the god into the age of the age.”_* Yes, the Greek can be confusing when translated word for word. There is plenty of room for turning the meaning around to fit a translator's preconception in this verse. Since most translators are trinitarians, this verse has been translated to reflect a trinitarian position. Alternate readings are found in the following
      Bibles:
      1. An American Translation (Smith-Goodspeed), renders it: “God is your throne....”
      2. The Bible in Living English (Byington) reads: “God is your throne....”
      3. NSB - God is your throne
      4. Greek Scholar Daniel Mace - "God is thy throne….”
      5. The Twentieth Century Translation - ‘God is thy throne….’
      6. The RSV has two footnotes that say:
      a. Or: "God is thy throne"
      b. Other ancient authorities read: "God is his throne."
      7. The New American Bible, St. Joseph Edition, 1970 has a footnote for this verse: "The Hebrew king was called ... ‘God,’ not in the polytheistic sense common among the ancient pagans, but as meaning ‘godlike’ or ‘taking the place of God’." It goes on to explain that others have translated this verse as, “Your throne is the throne of God” and refers us to 1 Chron. 29:23 “where Solomon’s throne is referred to as the throne of the LORD [YHWH].”
      Moreover, Hebrew translations of the NT read as follows:
      8. "Thy throne given of God is for ever and ever..." (JPS)
      9. "Your divine throne is everlasting..." (NJPS)
      10. "Your throne, O judge, [will exist] forever and ever." (CJB)
      Similar readings are found in the footnotes of the following translations: ASV, the NRSV, the NEB, NWT, and the TEV.
      Three giants of modern New Testament Scholarship -- Westcott, Moffatt, and Goodspeed -- came to the same conclusions independently.
      *About the use of God and god in the Bible*
      The title *ho theos* in the Greek New Testament is always translated as "God" referring to "The God" (the Supreme God ADONAI YHWH). None of the writers of the New Testament apply "ho theos" to Yahshua. Theos, without the definate article "ho," is translated using the lowercase "god" and is applied to Yahshua, angels, judges, magistrates, prophets, and kings of Israel (SEE: John 10:35 which is a quote from Psalms 82:6).
      To understand why the higher use of the term "God" is incorrectly applied to the Son in Hebrews 1:8 we look to the very scripture in Psalms that Paul is quoting (Psalms 45:6) in which the writer is celebrating an Israelite king’s marriage. Even the trinitarian New American Standard Bible (NASB Reference Edition), explains in a footnote for Psalms 45:1 that it:
      *_“Probably refers to Solomon as a type of Christ.”_*
      The writer is praising and admoinishing a King who sat at the throne of YHWH, who was anointed above all other Israelites, and exercised YHWH's authority over Israel. This Hebrew king was 'god,' but not in the polytheistic pagan sense, but meaning ‘godlike’ or ‘representing God' on earth.
      Applying "Ho Theos" to a Hebrew King or to Yahshua is an error.
      "Ho Theos" refers to the source of power and authority for the Kings's throne in Psalms 45:6. It is the same for Yahshua's throne in Hebrews 1:8. The source of power is "Ho Theos" (THE SUPREME ALMIGHTY GOD).
      As further proof, look at the beginning of Hebrews 1:1-7.
      HEBREWS 1:1-2
      *_In the past YHWH spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days YHWH has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the ages._*
      What Ages? Present and future ages "in these last days" such as the Church Age, the end of the age, the Age to come, the Kingdom Age. (See Ephesians 2:7; Ephesians 3:5 and 21)
      Many English translations have the Greek word "aion" improperly translated as "universe" or "world" The Greek word "aion" is accurately translated as *ages* which means a *span of time,* and in this context "aion" refers back to the statement "in these last days" which is a clear reference to the *Age of Grace; Church Age; this present age; these last days; and the future Kingdom Age when Yahshua reigns on earth.*
      Since most translators are Trinitarian, they think that Yahshua was the one who made the heavens and earth, and they improperly translate “aion” as “world” or "universe" in verse 2. However, there are other Greek words that mean "universe" or “world,” such as kosmos and oikoumene. It is more accurate to conclude "in these last days," through Yahshua, YHWH has made the *aion* ages: “the Church Age; the Age of Grace, and the future kingdom Age” through Yahshua.
      Besides being an obvious mistranslation of the Greek word aion, the message being conveyed here is that YHWH spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways in the past, but “in these last days” YHWH is speaking through His Son. Clearly YHWH did not speak through Yahshua prior to "these last days." according to the writer of Hebrews. Therefore. it is incorrect to assume Yahshua created anything from this verse and *ages* is the correct translation.
      HEBREWS 1:3-5
      *_The Son is the radiance of YHWH's glory and the exact representation of YHWH's being, sustaining all things by YHWH's powerful logos. After YHWH had provided purification for sins, Yahshua sat down at the right hand of YHWH in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did YHWH ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?_*
      "exact representation" means an image or copy of the original, but not the original. Here the representation is in the human form of "the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5. These verses cannot be used as proof that Yahshua is YHWH. Properly translated, these verses prove Yahshua is not YHWH.
      Did YHWH become as much superior to angels as his name is superior to theirs? No! This verse is about Yahshua Messiah. Yahshua BECAME superior to angels which makes it obvious at one point in time he was NOT superior to angels. If he was not superior to angels in the past, it's obvious he did not preexist as an angel in heaven, nor is he coequal with God, as trinitarians believe.
      *_But we do see Yahshua, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of YHWH he might taste death for everyone._* Hebrews 2:9
      Clearly Yahshua died for our sins. YHWH cannot die, therefore Yahshua is not YHWH.
      *HEBREWS 1:6-7*
      *_When YHWH brings His firstborn into the world, He says, "Let all My angels worship him. In speaking of the angels He says, "I make My angels spirits, and My servants flames of fire."_*
      YHWH's firstborn is Yahshua. YHWH is not talking to Himself.
      Nothing in verses 1-9 support the trinity doctrine.

      *In God we Trust* In this third post I will deal with your final statement
      *_These are all God-given names. Therefore, God Himself called Jesus “God.”_*
      God Changed Abram's name to Abraham, and Jacob's name to Israel, so by your logic that makes them God too...LOL.
      For your information, the Angel Gabriel told Mary to name the child in her that was BEGOTTEN (PROCREATED) by YHWH Himself, Yahshua, which means Yah - saves. This does not make Yahshua God....because God is the one that did the begetting of Yahshua in the womb of Mary. YHWH is not a begotten being. This should be plainly obvious to you. Yahshua had a beginning. There is no preexistent Yahshua who was God and then incarnated himself into the womb of Mary....that is pure pagan heresy.
      Many names bear the name YAH in them, such as
      - (Yah)oshua.... (Joshua), meaning the LORD is Salvation),
      - Eli(yah)u........ (Elijah), meaning "my YAH" (my GOD),
      - Hallelu(yah).....meaning "praise YAH", and;
      - (Yah)shua........which means "YAH saves"
      In addition there are names that imply attributes and characteristics of YHWH such as:
      Samuel means ‘his name is God’;
      Daniel means ‘God is my judge’;
      Ezekiel means ‘God strengthens‘;
      Nehemiah means ‘Yah comforts’;
      Joshua means ‘Yahweh is salvation’;
      Josiah means ‘Yah supports’;
      Hezekiah means ‘Yah strengthens’.
      I don't know who has been teaching you but your bible IQ is horrible.

      @Tru Man, when Jesus said my Lord and my God in the original Greek it says the Lord of me and the god of me, so Jesus was talking about two persons because at John 20:31 he told Mary not to touch him because he was Ascending to his God and her God so, God cannot have someone who is God to him. And then at John 20:31 the Apostle John said that people may know that Jesus is the son of God, not God the son. The scriptures are pretty clear and explicit my friend , trying to use implied scriptures does not make that scripture say that Jesus is God. Many blessings to you if you can see what the bible really teaches about who is the true God. According To Jesus at John 17:3 he prayed to his father and said " this means everlasting life their knowing you the "only" true God and the one you sent forth, Jesus Christ. So Jesus himself said that the father is the "only" true God. There isn't a single scripture in the Bible that says that Jesus is the "only" true God!. Notice the word "only" .

The 1 John 5:7-8 passage you used, in the KJV, is a major mistranslation. It doesn't mention the Trinity at all. Read the NIV, ESV, and NASB versions. They are much more accurate translations of the verse, because they use earlier Greek manuscripts.

      @@americanlegaldefense7789 I definitely know a lot more about the KJV, that's for sure.
      The KJV is NOT infallible and never has been. Neither is any other translation.
      You know that the NIV and ESV is more accurate than the KJV, right? The NIV and ESV uses earlier manuscripts to translate. The KJV uses the Textus Receptus, which is written in 1500. The NIV and ESV use manuscripts from 500-1000 A.D., which are the earliest manuscripts available today, and therefore, more true to the original manuscripts, although no translation is perfect.
      The KJV contains many New Testament verses and even whole passages that are not in the earliest manuscripts. The NIV, ESV, and NASB, however, recognize these mistakes and put these added passages in parenthesis or italics to indicate that they are not originally there. They also provide footnotes as to why they were not added in the translation.
      Any Christian scholar will tell you that the KJV is one of the more inaccurate translations out there. I literally just showed you a place whether the KJV is seriously messed up and inaccurately translated (not loyal to the Greek manuscripts) and you still worship it and treat it as if it's infallible. Read 1 John 5:7-8 in the KJV and compare it to the NIV, ESV, and NASB (and pretty much any other updated version). You'll see a major difference. Do some research on the verse. In the NIV, it provides a footnote about the KJV:
      "1 John 5:8 Late manuscripts of the Vulgate [say] *testify in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 8 And there are three that testify on earth: the[...]* (not found in any Greek manuscript before the fourteenth century)."
      The only version that is infallible is the *original* Greek manuscripts.
      You telling me to read up on my history is ironic because you clearly know little about the KJV.
      The only reason the KJV was written was because people wanted a version they could understand. It's the same reason why the NIV, ESV, NASB, and other versions were translated. So wanting a contemporary version is not wrong or a perversion.
      I was taught to read multiple translations as well as the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts for a more in-depth read.

    That's interesting that you agree that Jehovah is the english version of the Greek Translation of Gods Name.( Sorry , the most holy name of God) And it's also true that the name of God ( Tetragrammaton / YHWH or JHVH are articulated as Yahweh or Jehovah)
    That name was replaced by Jewish Superstition with titles such as Adonai , Abba , Elohim ( Which the pagan nation of Canaan also called their God) and so forth. These ether were titles such as lord or meanings much like a quality or a power, but not a name.
    Where God's name has been replaced in many bibles in over 6800 areas , It's usually been replaced with all capital letters such as GOD and so forth. There are a few places that most bibles didn't completely remove it because the verse would have been completely senseless. In the King James and most other bibles , they actually left God's name in the Bible at Psalms 83:18 where it says: That men may KNOW that thou , whose name ALONE IS JEHOVAH , art the most high over the earth. Now if you put Gods name ( Yahweh or Jehovah ) back into the over 6800 verses its been replaced with titles , the whole conception of the bible would be completely different. It would be impossible to come up with a mystical teaching such as the trinity. It never was part of the early christian teachings and never showed up until the forth century , long after the completion of the bible . There's an unlimited amount of documentation on that.
    So , the 100's of times Jesus mentioned different things about his Father , His God and Their (The Christians that were there when he said it)God and how when he was baptized the people heard Gods Voice say this is my Son and how he's referred to as the only begotten son , That the bible would actually make sense.

      Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. (John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”-John 14:28.
      Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? -Philippians 2:9.

    Jesus is divine. He has to be for Him to be the Saviour of the world.
    If Jesus is not God, then his sacrifice on the cross could not take away the sins of the world and bring us into a relationship with the Father. Doesn't matter if Jesus lived a perfect life without sinning, if he was just a human being like us, and no divinity, then how does that save us?

      His sacrifice saves us as it paid the ransom required.
      Adam forfeited perfect human life. The ransom price was beyond any of his descendants to pay, as we are all born imperfect. (Ps49:7).
      God's perfect justice required like for like. Soul for soul.
      Jesus was transferred to the womb of Mary and born a perfect human. "The last Adam"..
      He was able to pay the debt Adam left mankind in.
      Matt20:28. Rom5.
      Massive love on the part of both God, in sending his only begotten son, and also in Jesus, by willingly giving his life to give us a hope we could never have without his sacrifice.

      Read further down in the verses where Jesus said they claimed he blasphemed BECAUSE HE SAID HE WAS THE SON OF GOD, not God Himself. The Jews made FALSE accusations against him. Making himself a god or as some say God was a false accusation. Then Jesus quoted PSALM 82:6, where God Himself calls MEN "gods". They were the Israelites judges. So the term God could be used for one's representing God. Yet Jesus actually STATES he said he was GOD'S SON. It's there in black and white. Nowhere does he claim to be God as in the Deity.

    I am not religious but I do appreciate studying it from a Theological perspective.
    I’m not sold on the Trinity if I’m being honest. Not only is the word not used in the Bible (which you explained) but I struggle with it for the following reasons:
    A) Jesus prayed to his Father. In fact when he was dying he asked his Father why he had forsaken him? Seems odd that Jesus would pray to himself?
    B) Jesus was resurrected. Why would God need to die am earthly death and did he resurrect himself?
    C) Jesus is referred in Scripture as God’s only begotten Son. Again either God and Jesus are 2 distinct entities or God talks to himself (no disrespect)
    D) The concept of a Triune Deity predates Christianity and I feel that all signs of the Trinity point to a repackaged pagan origin.
    I am by no means closed minded and in my heart I’m always searching for the truth when it comes to my relation to the universe as a whole. I also appreciate your perspective and the respect you show to others who think differently.

      The trinity doctrine is predicated-upon the existence of a triune god, that is to say, a god that is one being in three person.
      Now to be fair, there are many variations and theological expansions as well as sub-definitions of the otherwise, simple definition cited here - though for the most part, this would constitute the primary component of trinity doctrine.
      With that said, and with respect to the technical aspects of the so-called triune god, it is also worth noting that the onset of the persons of the godhead interacting with one another is generally reconciled by means of individual persons of the single being(or substance) of GOD who is one.
      Now to be completely fair, I would not drag this out by playing the devil's advocate with apologetics and a defense of a doctrine that is far too controversial to be the truth of scripture, and of an infamous god who is is never actually established in scripture. That is to say; that there are no actual declarations, definitions or revelations of such a god(triune) found anywhere in scripture, just as there there are no records of anyone worshiping, teaching or preaching of such a god at any point in Bible history.
      And so while there is no shortage of those believing they can justify such a god by means of proof-texts and residual arguments from scripture, it remains that they do-so without ever having established said god to begin with, making the doctrine one very big case of circular reasoning - as proponents of the belief find themselves justifying their belief, by means of supporting texts for a god that is never actually substantiated.
      In addition to this, and to make matters worse, what declarations are written with regard to GOD's nature, prove to be the exact opposite of a triune god, as we find the GOD who sent Jesus to save mankind declaring Himself the source and cause of all things alone and by Himself;
      _Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: _*_"I am Yahweh, who makes all things_*_ who _*_alone_*_ stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth _*_by myself_* - Isaiah 44.24
      Therefore and much to the detriment of trinitarians, the GOD and Father of Jesus Christ, is not triune at all, but instead, the singular source from which all things are. Leaving no room whatsoever for any other; person, being, or otherwise.
      And finally, and to conclude matters, the only recourse for trinitarians with this, is to invoke the being(or substance) vs person argument, in-an attempt to avert the contradiction of one GOD who is alone and by Himself. Thus concluding that the GOD(YHWH) speaking the declaration is none other than the being(or substance), who is one GOD alone.
      However and as the terms used in the declaration(see; alone and by Myself), are entirely personal in nature, trinitarians are therefore forced to admit one of the persons of the triune godhead in order to qualify the declaration, therefore forfeiting their triune god in the process, as there can be no such condition as 'alone' and 'by myself' within the godhead.
      - hope this little write-up proves useful to you, and GOD bless!

      Because you understand the trinity wrongly. Years ago watchtower had a document on the Trinity. Once they were shown there understanding of the trinity were wrong this document diaappeared. Jesus is not the Father, and just like my human father, He was greater. But I am just as human as my own father, so Jesus being the Son is just as" God "as His Father. People believing in Monolism believe Jesus is the Father and Jesus is the HS. But this is NOT the trinity concept. The Father plays a role, So does the Son and so does the H S. While Jesus was on earth the Father gave Him aname exalted above everyname. Not every "other" NWT name. But Every name. All other available bible will say "all names". Check in your Inter linear Greek translation, under the Greek its correct, "every name", but right hand side off the greek / english the added. (other). Check what the bible says in Rev 22. when you add words to Gods bible, specially when it changes the meaning, or take words away. The leadership/ GB have lots of guts to change the words of the All Mighty God , but their day will come, they will wish theyhave never been born. I am He simply refers to he is the Son of God.
    Before Abraham refers to Jesus as Michael.
    Frankly this argument of Jesus being God will only be settled when the end of this system arrives.
    Think about it ,right in the beginning of the Bible, Genesis . If Jesus was God his name would’ve been mentioned at that point , but no, Jehovahs name is mentioned in Genesis 2 and goes on continuing to be mentioned over 7000 times throughout the entire Bible.
    The reason why most Bible translations omit Gods name is because those faiths are influenced by Satans thinking. There’s nothing more important to Satan than to draw people away from God because He desires the worship that only belongs to the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.

      I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Here's why that's true:
      JWs believe and teach that Christ is _really_ Michael the angel/archangel. This belief is falsehood.
      NO angel would ever make the declaration that Christ makes for Himself in John 12:45
      NO angel would ever tell people to believe in it the same as they do in God. But Christ does just that in John 14:1.
      NO angel would ever make the declaration Christ makes for Himself in John 14:7-9. Michael would DEFINITELY NOT ever make these declarations. His name means "Who Is Like God?" Obvious answer: NO ONE. If Michael had made those declarations, he would be going against the meaning of his own name and committing blasphemy.
      NO angel would ever receive for itself the declaration of Thomas in John 20:28.
      NO angel has the same nature as God, as Paul states Christ does in Philippians 2:6.
      In NO angel does all the fullness of God reside, as Paul states in Colossians 2:9.
      Also - Read Romans 10:13. Paul takes the quote from Joel (which clearly refers to Jehovah) and directly applies it to Christ.

      In God We Trust Yet in Greek God and god is present in Scripture. John 1 : 1 doesnt prove Jesus is God especially when you got the Genesis time frame as well as the time frame of other events all lumped together in John 1. Try explaining John 1 : 3 and 4 if you think Jesus is God.
      That being said, JWs don't believe Jesus is God nor do any Non Triniarian.
      Look up John 1 : 1 in Hebrew and Greek.
      God = θεόν (Uppercase G)
      god = θεὸς (Lowercase g)
      The Word = ό λόγος
      Word = λόγος
      Other examples
      Jesus = Ἰησοῦν
      Christ = Χριστόν
      Jesus Christ = Ἰησοῦν Χριστόν ( ישו Hebrew)
      Lastly, God cannot Anoint himself, hence the title Christ meaning Anointed one and second, Jesus did claim he has a God in Scripture and in his own words.

    • @zollsm6386
      @zollsm6386 6 лет назад +4

      PN S No, if you understand it clearly you'd understand what John is trying to convey, but I see what you are getting at, but a minor misunderstanding of scripture can quickly mislead any man who does not study the bible and or apply biblical hermeneutics totally when interpreting. John himself knows that God Yahweh/Jehovah and Jesus Christ are two different people from each other and John didn't shy away from the very laws of which the Jews were under, an example would be when The Jews challenged Jesus and was about to stone him, Jesus mentioned, quoted from the Old Testament that all people, including born Jews like himself, written in law are gods too (not God himself or themselves). Cross reference points to Psalms 82 : 6. For Jesus quoted this because the Jews charged him with making himself a god. At Psalms 82 : 6 God himself says about the sons of God I said you are gods by implication that makes each of these man a god.
      I said, Ye are gods*, And all of you sons of the Most High.
      * godlike ones
      We see in Johm 10 : 34, 35 Jesus quoting of which that is written in the law of the Jews itself.
      Similar to what was mentioned, by Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 8 : 5 (First Epistles to the Corinthians), which cross references to what Jesus Christ had said, as well as what God the Father had said. (Also check out Psalms 82 : 1 for sons of the Most High in the heavens Angels/Spirit Beings are mentioned as gods/godlike ones).
      So in short Jesus, a born Jew of a woman, a man born into the law, Galatians 4 : 4, is considered a god and or among godlike ones just like his counterparts, but when it comes to God the Father he is the one and only True God, in this sense A God above gods (consisting of men, angels/spirit beings, etc), so to speak.
      Another thing to note in the gospel of john regarding one of Jesus' rare conversations, but in this, a man named Nicodemus, who was well aware that Jesus was the son of God who came from God himself and or has been sent by God. Nicodemus was also the same man who played a role in the burial of Jesus Christ.

      YOU: How is it that the Jews rounded up some false witnesses to make up lies to obtain a death sentence for Jesus, but niether the Jewish officials nor even one of those false witnesses made a claim that Jesus was God or Equally god?
      ME: 1) Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him. Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself EQUAL with God. (John 5:18)
      John the Apostle wrote this, which shows clearly that even John himself understood that the Son of God and the Father were EQUAL!!!
      2)"Then they asked him, 'Where is your father?' 'You do not know me or my Father,' Jesus replied. 'If you knew me, you would know my Father also'" (John 8:19) "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'" (John 8:58).
      The statement of Jesus to the Jews, "I AM" is the exact same statement that God gave to Moses in Exodus 3:13-15.
      3)"What about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, "I am God's Son"? Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.' Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp." (John 10:36-39)
      Once again, the Jews understood Jesus to be saying he was EQUAL to God, that is why they tried to seize him.
      So, for you to make the statement that the Jewish officials NEVER made the claim that Jesus was God or equal to God shows your ignorance of the Word of God. Wake up!!!

    How _should_ you respond to the claim of a Jehovah's Witness that Jesus is not God? Well, you _should_ say: "YES, YOU'RE RIGHT! Jesus is _NOT_ God. Instead, at John 10:36, Jesus said of himself: "I am the _SON_ of God."
    Oh, and concerning what God's name is, my King James Bible says his name is "Jehovah," as the following verses say:
    1. "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them." (Ex. 6:3)
    2. "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." (Ps. 83:18)
    3. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." (Isa. 12:2)
    4. "Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength." (Isa. 26:4)
    So, Jehovah is God. Jesus is the Son of God. (Mark 1:1)

      Yehova witness teach that God the Almighty created thousands and millions years before our Creation, The Son the Firstborn of all creation. And through him created everything. In their bible john 1:1 reads In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was a god. So, they teach God and a god. This is already unbiblical. The bible nowhere teaches that there is such things as God and gods. Yes, the bible does teaches false gods but not divine gods. In the beginning the word was. They teach the word began in the beginning. This is contrary to what john 1 says.

Cute as it was, I questioned the words and admitted something that grown-ups to this day will not do. You don't even understand the prayer that you quote! @MakeLemonade i can help you in your understanding. It will take a lil humility from both of us. Born again? Flesh and blood cannot enter heaven. Jesus at his death and then his Resurrection to heavenly life as a spirit person. There is no such thing in our sinful, imperfect, sickly dying body can sin be washed away. That is our punishment for disobedience. Adam has dented and stained all with sin and death. A person can put away the things he once practiced, put on the new personality, and turn his life around. Live a clean life but still have sin. Jesus will do away with sin and death. Death is the last enemy that Jesus will end. You mentioned the scriptural 144000 that was brought from the earth Yes. They are the only ones that was seen by John on Mount Zion with Jehovah God and Jesus. Having both names written in their foreheads. Even them while they live on this earth they are still like you and I. Not practice sin but still a sinner. Recognizing they like us need to have a relationship with Jehovah and pray in Jesus name. We all need forgiveness. No human can will themselves into that position to see Jehovah and serve as Kings with Jesus. It's NO emotional feeling. A person knows that he or she is of that number. Yes I would love to see Jehovah and Jesus Christ, but I'm also glad that I'm not chosen. I'm looking forward to seeing my dad and mom, on this earth, that will be like Eden. A worldwide Paradise!

That means you have been born with water and spirit and begotten. You are a son of God? Jehovah himself has given you his spirit and have bear witness with you of that. That means you are a new creation. The Israel of God. You are going to rule as a King and Priest along with Jesus for the healing of mankind. The ones on the earth Jonn saw " a great crowd " on the earth. They've survive the coming Great Tribulation. They owe salvation to our God and to the Lamb. So your born againisum puts you in a special class. You've followed the Lamb where he goes and you sing a song that no one can sing but the 144000 that have been brought from the earth. Hebrews 1:2 Now at the end of these days he has spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things. 3 He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact representation of his very being, and he sustains all things by the word of his power. And after he had made a purification for our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. 4 So he has become better than the angels to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs. 5 For example, to which one of the angels did God ever say: “You are my son; today I have become your father”? And again: “I will become his father, and he will become my son”?

    The King James Bible was written with a Trinity in mind. People with Babylonian
    pagan beliefs insisted that they're Triune god be included with the writing of the
    king James in the 16th century. The original Aramaic and Greek scriptures had
    already been finished by the last apostle of Jesus Christ in the 1st century A.D.
    There was nothing more to add or take away. The complete 66 books were done.
    They were the only books inspired of God ( 2 Tim. 3:16 ). All other copies hence-
    forth were to reprint the books according to the centuries' language. But the true
    meaning of the scripture was to remain intact. Another word could be used to
    simplify the verse, but it had to stay in its context. It was not to veer off with words
    that did not agree with the true meaning and it had to comply and not contradict
    with other verses or books. John 1:1 is an example of the deliberate word change
    that does not agree with the original Christian Greek scriptures. It contradicts other
    passages and offsets the whole teaching of the inspired writings. Most of the king
    James Bible is reliable, but use caution and wisdom by prayer for understanding.
    And another example again is the name of God. The King James has replaced the
    name JEHOVAH with "Lord", a title. Why? The Trinitarians who wrote it found a good
    way to hide the name because Jehovah separated him from his son Jesus Christ.
    Each one having his own name. How could they be a Trinity if they were apart having
    their own personal existence one from the other? But God made sure his name was in
    that Bible, his book, he's the author, and owner and had the right to intervene when
    he saw the need. You can find his name at Psalms 83:18. How odd. At Psalms 42:
    8, it says: I am the LORD, that is my name... which is it? These verses do not agree.
    Who then is the LORD? There are many gods and many Lords. To whom is it re-
    fering? It proves the King James Bible contradicts itself. Those using this Bible are
    being misled and should look into its authenticity. It is a Trinitarian Bible. Not that
    you should throw it away into the trash, you can still learn much from it just reexam-
    ine the Trinity doctrine in it and save yourself a lot of confusion. May Jehovah be with
    you and shed the scales from your eyes that refreshing blessings may come upon
    you. And pray to him only, through his first-born son. Shun pagan doctrines. Do some
    research on Triune gods that were worshiped long age. Archeologist have found many
    idols centuries old with three heads. That's a good place to start. Jehovah expects us
    to use our common sense.

    By the way in John 8:58 where Jesus uses the words I am is not the same as Exodus 3:14 where the Hebrew words are in the causative case meaning "I shall come to be" or "I shall cause to be" or "I shall prove to be" . The KJV and most Bibles get that wrong by saying "I am"
    In John 8:58 the context is talking about age not identity. Jesus was saying that he existed before Abraham "Jesus said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, From before Abraham was, I have been." (1869 Noyes Translation)
    "Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, I existed before Abraham was born." (1936 Williams NT)

      www.gotquestions.org/YHWH-tetragrammaton.html
      Question: "What is YHWH? What is the tetragrammaton?"
      Answer: The ancient Hebrew language that the Old Testament was written in did not have vowels in its alphabet. In written form, ancient Hebrew was a consonant-only language. In the original Hebrew, God’s name transliterates to YHWH (sometimes written in the older style as YHVH). This is known as the tetragrammaton (meaning “four letters”). Because of the lack of vowels, Bible scholars debate how the tetragrammaton YHWH was pronounced.
      The tetragrammaton consists of four Hebrew letters: yodh, he, waw, and then he repeated. Some versions of the Bible translate the tetragrammaton as “Yahweh” or “Jehovah”; most translate it as “LORD” (all capital letters).
      Contrary to what some Christians believe (and at least one cult), Jehovah is not the Divine Name revealed to Israel. The name Jehovah is a product of mixing different words and different alphabets of different languages. Due to a fear of accidentally taking God’s name in vain (Leviticus 24:16), the Jews basically quit saying it out loud altogether. Instead, when reading Scripture aloud, the Jews substituted the tetragrammaton YHWH with the word Adonai (“Lord”). Even in the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament), the translators substituted Kurios (“Lord”) for the Divine Name. Eventually, the vowels from Adonai (“Lord”) or Elohim (“God”) found their way in between the consonants of YHWH, thus forming YaHWeH. But this interpolation of vowels does not mean that was how God’s name was originally pronounced. In fact, we aren’t entirely sure if YHWH should have two syllables or three.
      Any number of vowel sounds can be inserted within YHWH, and Jewish scholars are as uncertain of the real pronunciation as Christian scholars are. Jehovah is actually a much later (probably 16th-century) variant. The word Jehovah comes from a three-syllable version of YHWH, YeHoWeH. The Y was replaced with a J (although Hebrew does not even have a J sound) and the W with a V, plus the extra vowel in the middle, resulting in JeHoVaH. These vowels are the abbreviated forms of the imperfect tense, the participial form, and the perfect tense of the Hebrew being verb (English is)-thus the meaning of Jehovah could be understood as “He who will be, is, and has been.”
      So, what is God’s Name, and what does it mean? The most likely choice for how the tetragrammaton was pronounced is “YAH-way,” “YAH-weh,” or something similar. The name Yahweh refers to God’s self-existence. Yahweh is linked to how God described Himself in Exodus 3:14, “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “I AM has sent me to you.”’” God’s name is a reflection of His being. God is the only self-existent or self-sufficient Being. Only God has life in and of Himself. That is the essential meaning of the tetragrammaton, YHWH.

As an Ex-JW we have been fully schooled on the fact that this was a pagan religious holiday that was coopted in an attempt by Rome to consolidate power... But as I have on several other occasions I will simply correct you with scripture: Colossians 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. You are a self righteous, mind controlled cult slave of a false god named Jehovah. If you had studied the Occult as I have you would be aware that Jehovah is worshiped and sacrificed to by Satan Worshipers. Lucifer, Baal, Ocirus, Jehovah, Jubaalon.... The Trinity doctrine was not officially accepted by the so called " Christian Church" until the 3rd century.Constantine had a hand in this.What's interesting is that the Trinity was apparently unknown to Jesus, the apostles , nor any of the prophets of the old testament.They say nothing about it.If anything Jesus own words talks against it."Touch me not because I'm going away to my God and your God".Now stop right there.Jesus said he himself "Had a God".Not only that he said " The Father greater than I am".Not only that Jesus said there something he did not know." Concerning that day nobody knows.Not the angels nor the Son" but only the Father".In the book of Hebrew's the apostle Paul said Jesus " Learned obedience from the things he suffered " .Even Jesus " learned something".Can Almighty God be " TAUGHT"???? Can an Almighty God be tempted? In the book of James it says" Let not anyone who's going through a trial say he is being tried by God.For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does He try anyone".Yet Jesus was tried 3 times by the Devil.Look all throughout the old testament and NONE of the same wordings or even a hint of such is said about Yahweh or Jehovah.Nor do we read of Jehovah praying to anyone.Jesus did.The Bible is clear.Jesus is not God and he never claimed to be God.John 1:1 does not prove the Trinity anymore than me saying " In the beginning of this conversation was me.And I was with my wife.And my wife was me". Its obvious I'm not my wife and she's not me .But if you change the wording and put "The Word" and "God" people wanna believe Jesus is Almighty God.Now in Isaiah it does call Jesus " Mighty God".But nowhere in the bible does it call Jesus "Almighty God".A huge difference. But people believe what they want regardless of what's right there in black white.

      God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. We are all trinities. We are spirits, we have souls ( Which is our mind, our will, and our emotions ) and we live in bodies.

      Calvin B said:
      “John 1:1 does not prove the Trinity...”
      Even though it says:
      “In the beginning was [Jesus], and [Jesus] was with God, and [Jesus] was God.”
      Let me repeat that:
      “In the beginning... [Jesus] was God.”
      “Jesus was God.” *“Jesus* was *God.”* *“JESUS* was *GOD.”*
      *“Iēsous [Heb. origin-Yeshuah] ēn to theos.”-“Jehovah, thou wast the Deity.”*
      When was he “the God?” In the beginning!
      _He continues..._
      “John 1:1 does not prove the Trinity anymore than me saying ‘In the beginning -of this conversation- was me, and I was with my wife, and my wife was me.’ It's obvious I'm not my wife, and she's not me.”
      First off:
      You are your wife and your wife is you. You are both one flesh.
      “And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.” (Mark 10:8)
      Second:
      The last part of that comment shows that John 1:1 doesn't _actually_ mean what it says. Do you believe that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God...” (II Timothy 3:16)?
      Do you believe that it was “GOD, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake... by the prophets,” (Hebrews 1:1)? Do you believe that “...holy men of God spake _as they were_ moved by the Holy Ghost.” (II Peter 1:21)? Do you believe that “...[God's] word is truth” (John 17:17)? If you _do,_ then you believe that the Bible-the _whole_ Bible-is inspired by a perfect God, and thus is all correct and all perfect in 100% harmony and no contradictions with any other verse. The Bible says:
      “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” (Psalm 12:6-7)
      If this is the case, which it obviously is, then we have the perfect word of God today, and if God gave us _his_ perfect word, then why would it be open to private interpretation? The simple answer is found in II Peter 1:20:
      “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”
      Strong's Greek Dictionary defines the word “prophecy” in this verse as simply:
      “a _prediction_ (scriptural or other).”
      If you're one that says “The prophecy OF the Scriptures; not the Scriptures as a whole,” then consider this:
      God's word being eternally preserved for us is a prediction. Therefore, every word being preserved in it is also a prediction.
      If you're one of those who only believes the New Testament, then consider this:
      “...the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (I Timothy 3:15)
      "...[God's] word is truth.” (John 17:17)
      “[Jesus is] the way, the truth...” (John 14:6)
      Strong's Greek Dictionary defines the word “the” (Greek-“to”) as:
      “the definite article; _the”_
      The feminine usage (“she” [Greek-“ho”]) and the neuter usage (“hē”) are also used and translated as “he (subjective), she (subjective), it (subjective), him (objective), her (objective), it (objective),” etc. But the word “the” remains “to” and is translated as “the, this, that.” It's fourth translation is “one.” Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of “one” is:
      “Single in number; individual; as _one_ man; _one_ book. There is _one_ sun only in our system of planets.”
      And, going back to the Greek, the word “one” again is “to” meaning “the.” Thus, the word “the” is equivalent to the singular “one and only.” Therefore, we know that when Jesus says he is “the” truth, he is the “only” truth. So, God's true word must also be Jesus' true word, and Jesus' true word God's true word. Doesn't the Bible say in John 1:1 that Jesus is the living “Word?” Revelation calls him “The Word of God.” Therefore, if the church is the pillar and ground of THE THE THE *“ONLY”* truth, they're the pillar and ground of both Jesus and his word. The church will always exist until Jesus takes it out, as Matthew 16:18 says “...the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Therefore, his word will be preserved. And if Jesus is perfect (I Peter 1:21-22), then his word must also be perfect, as they are one and the same. And if Jesus is eternal (Isaiah 9:6 “everlasting Father”) then his word is as well. Now the Bible says miracles would cease when that which is perfect was come in I Corinthians 13. After that, only faith, hope, and love would remain. This can't be Jesus or his 1,000-year kingdom, as the Bible says when that is come, only love will remain. Therefore, that which is perfect is the perfect Law of Liberty of James 1:25 and James 2:12. The word “perfect” in describing the perfect law of liberty is τέλειος (“teleios”). Strong's Greek Dictionary defines it as simply:
      _“complete_ (in various applications...) _completeness.”_
      We don't see miracles today. Therefore, the word of God is _already_ complete. It's simply been translated from ancient Hebrew, Chaldee and Koine Greek into English. It's very clear now that we still have God's preserved word with us today. It's been translated into English several times, and the most accurate translation took place in 1604 when King James commanded apx. forty Episcopal language scholors from universities that only the very best of the best could attend. And they were not only trained in Ancient Hebrew, as many claim, but in many other languages as well. Let me restate: They were the best. All forty of them translated the Bible from it's original languages using the Textus Receptus and other translated Bibles, and, over the course of five years (1604-1609), they translated it. Then they looked over it again for an additional two years to ensure it was correct. Finally, when it was completed in 1611, it was named “The Holy Bible, Conteyning the Old Testament, and the New,” and it was given to the people free of charge. Now that we have the completed word of God, we can look into the original Greek language and see what the meaning of the words used in the original New Testament are. In John 1:1, the word “God” is the same all three times, thus saying specifically:
      “Jesus was God,” _or,_ “Jehovah, thou wast the Deity.”
      And since we have the preserved word of God, translated into English, Authored by God himself, do you think there'd be any “errors” in the Bible? Not if “the holy spirit spake” and “God inspired.” Otherwise God is imperfect, which is not the case. Furthermore, I Corinthians 14:33 says:
      “For God is not the author of confusion...”
      If there are any errors, additions, or subtractions in his word, then he _is_ the Author of confusion, which is not the case. So, The Bible is infallible, as Jesus is infallible.
      I say all that to say this:
      If the Bible says something, *_the Bible means it,_* because it's really the words of God. Therefore, all of it is 100% true and accurate with no contradictions. So, since now we know that John 1:1 in Koine Greek really says “Jehovah, thou wast the Deity,” you can be assured that this is what it means, no errors, no contradictions, end of story.
      Some like to say an error in translation was made, and that it _should_ say “In the beginning... the Word was *a* god.” However, that goes directly against Isaiah 44:8:
      “...Is there a God beside me? yea, _there is_ no God; I know not _any.”_
      God made sure to use the Hebrew “elowahh” for “God” here instead of his name “elohyim.” “Elowahh” is defined by Strong's Greek Dictionary as:
      “a _deity_ or the _Deity.”_
      He makes sure to say “there is no deity beside me.” Since the Bible does not contradict itself, John 1:1 isn't mis-translated. De Trinitate also references this verse many times word-for-word.
      Now no doctrinal verse in the Bible will stand alone, so are there any other verses that say that Jesus is God? Yes! The following verses prove Jesus is God:
      *I John **5:20*
      “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, _even_ in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
      *Zechariah 12:1 and 10*
      “The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, *saith the LORD,* which stretcheth forth the heavens... And I will pour upon the house of David [the Jews], and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me *whom they have pierced,* and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”
      This word “LORD” in Hebrew is יהוה (“Yehôvâh”); the same as “Jehovah,” which we all know is God. Problem: The Jews pierced the hands and feet of _Jesus,_ so how does that work out unless Jehovah is Jesus? Well, what does “Jesus” (Heb. origin-“Yeshua”) mean? “Jehovah saves.”
      *Isaiah 9:6*
      “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, *The mighty God,* The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
      You said that this says “mighty God,” but not the “Almighty God.” Consider then
      *Revelation 1:8*
      “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, *the Almighty.”*
      *Revelation 21:6-7*
      “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and *I will be his God,* and he shall be my son.”
      *Hebrews 1:1 and 8*
      “GOD, who... spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, But unto the Son _he saith,_ Thy throne, *O God,* _is_ for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness _is_ the sceptre of thy kingdom.”
      By now it should be very clear that Jesus is God.

    IS THE TRINITY REASONABLE?
    · God asked himself and offered himself as sacrifice to himself to go to earth to save mankind himself.
    · Then he agreed with himself and offered himself as volunteer to do it himself.
    · Then he impregnated a woman with his Holy Spirit (which is also himself) to give birth to himself.
    · While on earth, God prayed to himself (John 17:1) and glorified himself repeatedly.
    · He prayed to himself and offered supplications (Heb 5:7-8) to himself because he needed to strengthen himself.
    · Finally, God forsook himself (Mat 27:46) and sacrificed himself to prove his loyalty to himself (Heb 3:2,6).
    · While dead, he resurrected himself (Acts 2:24), so that he could exalt himself above himself (Acts 2:33).
    · Then he sat at his own right hand (Heb 1:3, Psalm 110:1) and waited for himself to place his enemies as a footstool under his own feet (1Cor 15:25).
    Respectfully, I CANNOT make any sense of this!!!

      _Here_ is real truth: JWs believe and teach that Christ is _really_ Michael the angel/archangel. This belief is falsehood.
