I can always hear the difference for HD no matter what speakers/headphones I use. It's quite significant in my opinion. Slightly louder, sharper, more clear and just generally more weight to the music. It's the equivalent of listening to an mp3 in 128kbps or 256kbps.
I met these guys at a local gig, with other artists like Fred V and Grafix, they are truley the nicest people you will meet. Shows in there music as well.

If you're interested in the science of the feeling you're describing you should look into studying music theory in college. What you're describing is refered to as "tension". ok listen to 3:07 the drum rhythms begin to grow more and more compressed or faster until it drops out for a single measure peaking in 'Tension". Then the drop releases all the pent up "tension". If done correctly it's impossible to resist. Perfect example track. Well done. Supurb.
I have Surround speakers, didn't notice anything in this song that took advantage of it through. I only listened to HD, will probably listen to normal too and check for sure.
Wasn't there a call of duty video made by a video editor something close to the name of sk3letorx or something with this song? I'm trying to find his channel again.
