    Excellent.
When I was your age I bought the first of my British cars.. a 1953 MG TD MK II. No help from parents, paid for with my lawn mowing and odd jobs, and paper route money.
The engine and gearbox and carburettors were newly rebuilt but not installed.
I assembled the car outside in our cul de sac to the joy of the neighbors.
After 2 months it was a runner.
The British gentleman who sold me that car was a machinist in England to include under ground in WW!!.
A two time Concourse winner with his Rolls'.. One at Pebble Beach and the other at Hillsborough. He worked at British Motors of Monterey Calif ( I later worked there) and when I bought this TD he operated an independent Brit car facility called British Automotive Imports in Monterey CA. We have been friends since, he will be 100 in Sept.
That purchase led to more Brit cars including :
1 1950 MG TD Bonneville Prepped
    2 Morris Oxfords 54 and 59/60
    6 Morris Minors
    4 Thames Vans
1959/60 Fairthorpe Electron Climax one of less than 30 and the only one with right hand drive and sent to the USA.
    Rover SD1
    5 Land Rovers from 1958-1974
1946 MG TC Race car with a cross flow head and 15" Borani wheels.
1956 MGA in which Installed a 3 Main MGB motor.. that was in 1970.
1969 MGC GT Mineral Blue factory 4 speed automatic and Webasto Sunroof, Chrome wires. Calif. Plate 784AMZ
    1958 Bugeye Sprite
    and a few others.
All of that led to 25 years in the car biz.. 4 years spent at a Rolls, Bentley, Jag, Aston Martin, Austin MG, Morris, Mini Lotus etc dealership. 1968-1972.
Last year I sold my 1964 MGB and after 3 months sorely missed it so now have a 1963 MGB..
Along with it I have my hoard of MGB and Jag parts.. a 60 year collection of stuff. ( at $200 a month storage)
Incidentally.. I have owned 130 cars and trucks in total.
I am looking for an MGB GT.. your video has inspired me to look harder.
Absolutely agree that these older cars have souls and we are the caretakers.
Excellent story and presentation which reminded us all.. cars are meant to be maintained, and driven .
I'll leave the concourse presentation effort to those who need the attention.
Good to see there are still some of the younger generation with an appreciation of , and respect for, these
    wonderful cars.
    Good Show !!!!!!
    Thanks from So Oregon USA.

Hi there. This is a lovely car but it is not a mark 1. Wide transmission tunnel and reversing lights say it is a Mark 2 or 3, built after 1968. Still a desirable and beautiful car. I have just renovated my one. Enjoy the ride!
