Beautiful! I love how you encourage fellow artists of all levels the importance of walking away from the collage for a bit and then returning with fresh eyes!
This is such a Great lesson in how to manage your fabric to make it do what you want and showing how you come to the conclusion of using your gray scale to help with your decisions . This process reminds me of the challenge I had with the dog I did in black and gray . I can relate to it being a bit of a struggle and a great lesson , in terms of difficulty being a learning experience. This piece is truly inspiring and amazing work of art
Bless you Mary! 🥰We are so glad that the videos are of help to you when you are creating your very own masterpiece. We’ve seen your beautiful dog collage and you’ve made the piece come to life with your fabric choices. Congratulations!
It's interesting what you mentioned about the colour choice. I am just finding myself in the exact same process with a cat portrait very similar to yours. The background is a curtain and it works fine. But the pet itself is so diffucult for me that I put the whole thing aside.
Hi Anne, It really is challenging but I’m so pleased with how it’s turned out now it is totally finished and threadpainted. Maybe a little rest from yours will help. Don’t give up on it though, I’m sure you won’t let it beat you. Even if it turns out not quite like you’d hope, I’m certain you will have learned something from it. 😊 There is always beauty in a finished project rather than one languishing in a cupboard somewhere. ….Good luck 🍀

@@MoofaceDesigns , thank you so much for your encouraging words. I will end the project and will have learned a lot in the end - so it's worth it.
