@ thank you! I’m thinking about getting the bigger Kodiak tent because I’ve got a family of 4. Putting the tarp over it is a great option to be able to utilize its large windows for ventilation in the rain. Liked and subscribed!
You are not supposed to need a rain tarp for the Kodiac Canvas tents. I have seen videos where it rained for days and the Kodiac canvas tents were bare outside and no rain got in at all. Why are you putting up a rain tent?
So I put up my brand new Kodiak flex bow canvas tent in back yard. Been raining for about 3 hours now. I went into the tent and the wall where the door and the window is on the opposite side of the "porch" side is soaked and wet on the INSIDE of the tent. The condensation is very thick and wet. I even feel cool condensation on the floor around there. And door and window is securely closed. All other walls and ceiling are dry inside except that whole section of the window and door that is exposed to the rain - and even the cloth between the door and window and around (dark cloths). I am major disappointed because I have read dozen of reviews that say after several days of major down pours of rain, the tents are bone dry inside. Well mine is not on that side. I will have to make shift a tarp over that if I go camping.
