My man CJ putting in the work, keep it up!
Also, when you see Svim'sLeftFoot again, tell him "Praise Svim!"

Hello CJ, just discovered your channel as I'm also part of the alpha and was looking for content on the game. Thank you so much for covering the details of the Empire system in your two videos - this clarified quite a few things that I was pretty confused on. I'm playing with a very small group and the 3 of us have been pretty consumed with all the other tasks in the game and have not focused on the Empire system at all. After seeing everything you presented here likely going to skip it as it seems like a waste of time. I do hope you are enjoying the game and will keep an eye out for more vids. Cheers!

Hey! Glad I could help. I plan to do a fully edited and longer video in the coming weeks covering Alpha 2 in a bit more depth.

So true. I have a ton of colourful opinions around Empires. End of the day, the system is currently half-baked, rushed, and shouldn't be in an Alpha state right now.

I'll copy-paste my opinion that I comment in the official vídeo announcement about Empires. I guess we have similar thoughts.
There is no empires "rise and fall" without war. There is no sense in watchtower if you dont have a threat, for exemple. If you have to conduct a war you'll NEED logistics, to build and repair weapons. During all this video I have a single thought: They are talking about a war cenario without war LMAO.
So I have some sugestions to Empire system:
    1. Territories can be claimed by diplomacy between emperors or by war. This will motivate players to engage and participate, literally fighting, making weapons, repairing weapons, making infrastructures, making logistics suply chain.
    2. Emperors can define certain buffs to it's territory, that affect all players that live in the territory. So players can "vote with their feet", that is, they will be able to move to another empire if they find it advantageous.
    3. Players can apply to citizenship, where they will pay a tax defined by the emperor, but will have even more bonuses and advantages in the territory.
Casual players can play as a lot of common person lives in the world, ignoring political changes (but here political changes doesn't affect negatively people lives lol).
There is no problem if the game don't have violence, a "mmo stardew valley", but if the devs doesn't want violence there is no sense in the Empire feature or territorial dispute. Territorial disputes are coercive, they exist only through the use of force. Whether this force will be in the form of violence or another type ends up being irrelevant, because disputes and coercion implicitly involve psychological violence. Regardless of the method used, we are subjecting a "war PVP", but regardless of the means, the end will be the same: players will attack others to take a territory by force, and this will cause pain to whoever loses. And I believe you will agree with me that when we talk about war, we are not asking for gore, it is possible for graphic violence to be reduced and controlled. Another point is that it is possible to stipulate periods of war, weekly for example, there is no need, nor sense, in maintaining a constant war. In the real world, wars are expensive, the devs could also "import" this reality into the game, so it would be more rewarding for disputes to be resolved through diplomacy, or for empires to simply decide not to dispute a territory. The game is very promising, my friends and I are very excited, but this issue is a central point, mmorpg is the type of game that we, players, will dedicate years of our lives, not only time but money, so it needs to be worth that investment.

This is very weird, like you said, it's pay to win, but you don't even win anything. There's not really even a reason for it. Something like consenting to combat between factions to get land would be better. That way, those who want to fight can, and those who don't want to don't have to.

I agree. I never liked the addition of empires, as the only thing it adds is pay to win for a pointless addition to competition in this game. Before empires bitcraft has such good hopes of becoming a community (cooperation) game and I think empires is making it so that there is less trading and help between different nations.

I've commented about this in official video, but seems they doen't have interest in public opinion. I give a lot of ideias, but jusst a waste of time lol.

I personally dislike the whole mechanic of siege as it currently is. As you stated, its throwing money at a wall for no benefit other than "my color is bigger than your color!" If they change to where you could use the hexcoins to craft the capsules and what not I think it'd be a decent change but I may be wrong there. Instead of the 100 crystals, could make it 10000 hexcoins OR 100 crystals for a capsule or something along those lines. That way it gives empires a chance to still participate and have a chance rather than being, "oh you didn't pay for crystals? Sucks to suck"

you seem to be the only one whos mentioned the new alpha on youtube. anyway, i just did a review as well, its more critical than yours. as you cant post links ill just point you in the direction of my channel. ok, watching the vid. how about calculating how much time it takes to make 20k supplies? how much do you make per hour? you make only 100 at a time, and needs 60 rough plant fiber / 12 rough wood log. so that entails crafting the same thing 200 times. who could bother? this is worse than runescape. i saw a vid about another mmorpg recently. the only way to make ingame cash in it, was by "gathering sweat" from monsters. it was slow, to say the least. if you fight a monster, both your gear and ammo is used up. the only other way is through $$$, rather huge amounts. check josh strife hayes rant on diablo 3's antics. its an insane money grabbing scheme. on the order of 150 000 $ to reach max level.

Hey! Thanks for checking out the video, that is a good point that I totally missed in seeing what the time to create these supplies is. I'll be sure to check out your video as well :)
