@@cosgrovescosmos It saves many of my photos that I wanted to bin already! Watched your video just in time! Many thanks! As a beginner of PI I thought it was for Canon cameras only.
I guess it started for the Canon camera, but the problem is seen with many sensors under the right conditions. I was desperate to find a solution and was pleased that it worked for me!
Thank you! I've been noticing some horizontal banding issue lately with my ASI533MM, especially for narrowband images. Gonna give this a try to see if it helps!
Let me know if I am wrong here - I am pretty sure it is part of the Pixinsight Release - I don't think it got pulled in with some other repository. But if I am wrong, I will certainly want to update the post! Thanks, Pat
Thanks for this Mr Cosgrove ! This tool worked a treat on my ASI2600 MC Pro image with banding issues.
Thanks! Glad to hear it worked for you!
Great help, thank you! I hope it works for my pic.
Good luck!

You are most welcome! I hope this method works for you as well as it worked for me!
Thanks for the advice! Very helpful video! I have two Canon cameras I use for Astronomy.
Glad it was helpful! Hope it works as well for you as it did for me!
Is this part of pixinsight or is there a link to the script?
Thanks for the video.
This script is part of the standard Pixinsight Release. You should be able to find it by the menu:
Scripts->Utilities->CanonBandReduction
@@cosgrovescosmos excellent, thanks
