Amie is one of the most easy going and likeable RUclipsr. Have been watching her videos for quite some time now and I have been constantly amazed. Doesn't matter if you like designer goods or not, you should definitely check her out :)

To those in this thread who find saving a struggle: have an automatic payment to your savings account at the exact moment, or max the day after you get your salary. I do this because I then don't really actively notice it. What I also do, before I receive my new salary is transfer what's left to my savings account (which doesn't happen every month, maybe three times a year). And If we get our year end and personal bonus at work. I remit that also. I only transfer money back to my regular account if I have to make a bigger unexpected payment. Make the amount an achievable percentage. I'm assuming most parts of the world have Internet banking available. Yawn, I know... But if I wouldn't do it like that, I'd spend it all.
I'm always petrified I'll get a "pretty woman" kind of response if I go in really luxury shops, all of a sudden I'm conscious what I'm wearing and how neat my hair looks. I'm even scared off by makeup counters if I'm alone haha. Lovely bag, so glad you've finally got your Chanel 😊

Definitely know what you mean about feeling intimidated by walking into a luxury store. That's exactly how I've felt going into these stores. I feel like they're looking at me and judging what I'm wearing and saying "You can't afford this. Who are you kidding". So I go in, get what I want and leave rather quickly. I need to get over that. BTW, I love chase Amy. Her videos are so likable. She buys items and doesn't come off snobbish at all. I love that. Enjoy your purchase :)
Gorgeous bag! I also just turned 30 and bought a Chanel bag for my birthday, and then my husband bought me a wallet to go with it. Mine is a preloved med Classic Flap bag. Also black caviar with silver... Not a fan of gold either!

Great choices! I agree with you on using the bag as your staple small bag. If I would buy a Chanel handbag I'd do the same thing. Something you could do for the loyalty cards is put them all in an app instead of a separate holder. There are apps on which you can take a picture of the barcode and they can scan it in store like they would with the regular card. It saves so much space in your wallet!

I think it depends on the style, some are very "classic" and for me you have to have a certain style for them to look good.. They would look odd on me lol. There are some lovely seasonal styles
As far as I am on concerned if you earn the money you get to spend it on whatever you want it's no ones place to judge how anyone spends their own money as we all like different things. The bag is stunning and it is my ultimate goal to own one, although like you I would have anything Chanel lol.
i feel the same with high end stores, even the one time I went into Harrods i was so scared! I always feel like I'm too common being from yorkshire to be around such expensive things and posh staff!! hahaha x

Oeh, oeh, and another tip is to get an app that allows you to scan the barcodes of loyalty cards. Unfortunately, not all loyalty cards work with barcodes. And I have yet to test all of them at the stores, before I can leave my pile of cards at home when I go shopping.

I'm the same as well. When I first started shopping at MAC and Sephora I always ordered online because I felt like I didn't "belong" in the actual stores. It was so intimidating walking into those stores for the first time and interacting with the staff! Thankfully they were very nice and I guess part of the fear was that they would just judge me and be snobs because you hear other people's horror stories all the time. I remember the Forum shops in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas was just crazy though! It really is like being in an other world when you're surrounded by luxury brands and actual door men! :D

I feel the same way about certain high-end stores. I live near a large shopping center that has a Louis Vuitton, a Michael Kors, a Versace, etc.. along with much more affordable stores like MAC, Bath and Body Works, Ulta, Forever 21, blah, blah, blah... Any of those high end stores make me feel awkward and definitely like I don't belong. Even if I just wanted to look at the beautiful products, the employees seem to hover over me like vultures as if I were going to grab something and run out of the shop and then the half mile back to my car. I just don't go into those stores, even if I have the money, I'd just rather buy online instead of dealing with that level of awkward stress.

Hi, I have a double flap medium handbag and you'd be surprised, the chains are very smooth, I think the leather laced through helps, and even if I have my bag completely stuffed, it's still very comfortable to wear, even in the summer against a bare shoulder. I also love how many different ways you can wear it, although unfortunately, my bag can't do cross-body. 🙂
I emailed the heathrow airport shopping team, provided them with a picture of your bag, and mentioned I want it in a medium or bigger size. They have asked me for a style code...

I think it depends on the style, some are very "classic" and for me you have to have a certain style for them to look good.. They would look odd on me lol. There are some lovely seasonal styles

As far as I am on concerned if you earn the money you get to spend it on whatever you want it's no ones place to judge how anyone spends their own money as we all like different things. The bag is stunning and it is my ultimate goal to own one, although like you I would have anything Chanel lol.

Oeh, oeh, and another tip is to get an app that allows you to scan the barcodes of loyalty cards. Unfortunately, not all loyalty cards work with barcodes. And I have yet to test all of them at the stores, before I can leave my pile of cards at home when I go shopping.

I'm the same as well. When I first started shopping at MAC and Sephora I always ordered online because I felt like I didn't "belong" in the actual stores. It was so intimidating walking into those stores for the first time and interacting with the staff! Thankfully they were very nice and I guess part of the fear was that they would just judge me and be snobs because you hear other people's horror stories all the time. I remember the Forum shops in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas was just crazy though! It really is like being in an other world when you're surrounded by luxury brands and actual door men! :D

I feel the same way about certain high-end stores. I live near a large shopping center that has a Louis Vuitton, a Michael Kors, a Versace, etc.. along with much more affordable stores like MAC, Bath and Body Works, Ulta, Forever 21, blah, blah, blah... Any of those high end stores make me feel awkward and definitely like I don't belong. Even if I just wanted to look at the beautiful products, the employees seem to hover over me like vultures as if I were going to grab something and run out of the shop and then the half mile back to my car. I just don't go into those stores, even if I have the money, I'd just rather buy online instead of dealing with that level of awkward stress.

Hi, I have a double flap medium handbag and you'd be surprised, the chains are very smooth, I think the leather laced through helps, and even if I have my bag completely stuffed, it's still very comfortable to wear, even in the summer against a bare shoulder. I also love how many different ways you can wear it, although unfortunately, my bag can't do cross-body. 🙂
