- The New Tactical Readiness Pen by Rite in the Rain. The hardened steel tip breaks glass, the aluminum barrel is extremely tough yet lightweight, and the pressurized ink writes upside down and through water.
I love most RiteInTheRain gear and I actually own/use daily a 295 FIELD DESK and I have a LAND NAV KIT and several of the smaller wallet type covers an notebooks that I use quite often but you guys have REALLY missed the mark on this one !
Sorry [not sorry] but 99$ is WAY overpriced for an aluminum pen !
For the same coin I can purchase a custom anodized & machined finished/frag pattern TITANIUM pen !
Comparable Aluminum pens can be had for around the 35-40 dollar mark !
I’m guessing the reason it’s expensive is because it’s made in the USA, in WA state which also has a high cost of living compared to most other states. The price may suck, but at least it’s a U.S. made option for those that value it.
Why don't you list a few that you prefer
Those "comparable" pens are made in China. Sorry [not sorry], but if you're not going to support the country you live in, then go live in the country you support. Leave America if you're going to refuse to buy American made products.
