- This is a pattern that it’s been spinning in my head for few days since 2021 started!… So here the result after sitting on bench! Pretty cool and attractive fly pattern MADE ESPECIALLY FOR BONES AND PERMIT - could also work for tarpon , triggerfish - snook.

MATERIAL:
•Mustad C68SNP-DT size #4.
•Olive UTC 140 D thread.
•Dumbbell eyes medium/large.
•Rabbit hair (tan color.
•Cristal flash pearl and rainbow.
•Furry foam (sand color.
•wireless fox brush (cinnamon color. (WFS61).
•Fly enhancer (legs) Orange/pumpkin/yellow.
•black/ brown marker.
•Solarez UV resin hard formula.
•Glitter olive color.
•Opcional single beads /20 Lb mono

Nice fly! Easy to tie, not to many materials. In one of your vids , you mention doing a review on your Nautilus reels. Did you ever get around to doing it. I looked a week ortwo ago & don't recall seeing it. I would like to see a review on their reels from someone who isn't trying to sell them. Thanks.

Nice pattern. I am heading to Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya with my Exho ION and a box of flies. This will be my third time. Do you know that area? Lots of bones and permits along the beach.

Awesome! Question, can you describe your line and leader setup? Do you use typically 8wt rods?
The best rod for me is 9wt! It covers must of the species from bones to big tarpons. 🙌🏽🎣
And depending on the season the fly line and leaders, flies etc etc.
Usually 12 Lb fluorocarbon for bones and permits. And /50/60/80 Lb for tarpons.
Fly lines: saltwater WF/Floating/ shooting line (better if matches with rod’s technology 😁🙌🏽🎣 best of luck.

I used thick formula “hard”… I guess yo u can use any type of resin as long as it protects from falling apart while it’s wet /casting.😎🙌🏽🎣🎣
