Buy the album, pay for it, they deserve it. It's great, support them. I have heard everything they have done, i've been a fan going on 15 or 16 years now. This album does not let you down, I knew it wouldn't. Also check out all the side projects they have. The Alter Boys, Polkadot Cadaver, Knives Out, El Creepo,
Luckily I've seen neary all them in Cleveland.... Man I love the Alter boys. Shit Pokadot even played in my shit little town utside cleveland... they're cool guys
Declan Cochran Lots of people seem to call bands out on sounding like Mr Bungle (Usually negatively, unlike you) but they moved through different genres with each album so fast they didn't really HAVE a sound. Listen to Sudden Death/Anarchy Up Your Anus and then Vanity Fair/Retrovertigo. Only they could achieve that kind of evolution. So here, a nice long list of Bunglesque stuff for the fans. It's all great. Darth Vegas delve further into the circus style of early Bungle. In my country. I love it! Tub Ring, are... Well, an unknown masterpiece to say the least, if you like Mr Bungle it's pretty much impossible to dislike them or Dog Fashion Disco. Schizoid Lloyd seems to be Queen + Bungle, simple and effective but I don't listen to much. Secret Chiefs 3 is what Trey Spruance made after Mr Bungle ended, it's a bit all over the place for me but definitely interesting stuff. Twelve Foot Ninja, are genre hopping lunatics. Stolen Babies, nice and eerie. Cardiacs are weirdos as old as Mr Bungle. Hunab Ku sound like the early Bungle demos. Enjoy, everyone. Stop accusing bands of trying to innovate. Sorry to any DFD fans here that somehow don't care for Mr Bungle.
For a fan of Faith No More, wouldn't Mr Bungle be a more logical alternative? It's Mike Patton's original band and influenced this band so much that I can't listen to DFD at all. Too similar.
mr bungle for sure - but danny elfman i'm sure is also quite likely ;) zappa likely, maybe even xtc. definitely mr bungle though - earlier vocals even sounded like mike patton - and still are in that vein a lot of times
aku start kenal band ni lepas keluar kat ROTTW tahun 2003 klu tak silap.masa tu aku kagum apa yang Abang Rom tulis pasal band ni dalam ROTTW membuatkan aku suka band ni. tapi kan, bila aku cuba dekati band ni, aku pelik. contoh cuba korang tenhok lagu ni : ia adalah berlawanan dan melawan lagu *we are the world* (m.jackson) .. seolah-olah band ni ialah white power yang bermain muzik metal.. senang cakap racist dan anti bukan kulit putih.. (anti negro, anti asia, anti arab, anti segalanya kecuali kulit putih eropah) tapi sesetengah lagu dia ada pulak yang macam menyeru keamanan , contoh : war party, grease.. tapi dalam video klip 'grease' mereka memukul sesiapa yang berdansa seperti negro.. dan banyak lirik lagunya seolah-olah kiasan kepada white power.. aku fikir, aku nak stop suka band ni sebab aku syak dia adalah najis-najis yang bermain muzik.
this song gives me a vibe of children of the corn tim burton and weird al all in one not really sure what to think of it never listened to this band before just thought i would give it a listen
Well atleast they rhyme?! Hey thumbs up for those who were brought here because of the lawsuit against the torrent user! Sure hope they thank the individual.
100% agree. But Todd Smith must, after all these years, realize that Catholics aren't Christians. Very far from it. Plus: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Nonetheless: Awesome song - o/( (I'm just being honest)
Eh. It's not really the insanely awesome standard i relate to dog fashion disco... It doesn't seem as elegantly written and it doesn't flow seamlessly...
+Prince Ikel Look, buddy (or sissy), Patton hasn't invented himself from the scratch, you should have known that better. He's basically a Zappa for the poor. All-around borrowing and hierarchically submissive. Reinventing the circus for the new generation. Now, you bash his fan and follower and reinventor for following his steps... imagine what the precursors of Patton would think of pattonites like you?
DFD is so amazing, yet horribly criminally underrated
exiledPostman I'd say Knives Out is criminally underrated as well
+Blake Bailey Well, it's a DFD side project. Like El Creepo and Polkadot Cadaver
Amen to that

+Declan Cochran IT'S ALIVE!!!!
Stubb a dub will never die
check out estradasphere and secret chiefs
DFD is where Bungle should have gone after the first record. I consider this evidence of an alternate timeline.
God, these guys are the definition of "UNDERRATED" DFD needs so much more attention! They can make it BIG. I can guarantee you.
Yeah Dog Fashion Disco and Polkadot Cadaver (second Todd Smith's band) are fucking underrated
The Ashweed Joint no they do not need more attention.
When attention comes we all lose them.
This sounds to me like a more modernized version of Anarchists. I love it and I can already tell the next two weeks will be long ones.
Is that a fucking clarinet!??? Damn this is insane!
Can't wait until the album is out. Makes me so happy that my favorite band is back.
Sacrifice a goat. Make a blood tribute to your new your new god. CAUSE DFD IS BAAAAACK!
a mix of bungle, good old faith no more and boingo. damn sweet vocals obscure tonal variance and well kick ass melody
Ugh fuuuck you
Man I wish they would do a U.S. tour again. Need to see them in Chicago!
Was iffy on this and then the chrous hit. This is gonna be one of those songs that is gonna be so fun live :)
Thank you Todd, beautiful as always.
THEY GOT BACK TOGETHER????!!! *life is just*
Great song. Great message. Great band.
Uh, dude. Just ... dude. Dog. Freaking. Fashion. Disco. Must listen 500 times.
I can already tell im gonna enjoy the new album
Holy fuck that was impressive. I'm so glad you guys came back to me.
Todd and the boys can do NO WRONG!!!
Wow, and I expected this to be a combo of folk rap.
Loving it!
Killer video.
love it.. I even see a bit of Knives out in this..
oh my god, how I have resisted without this? For a big fan of Faith No More it sound like a logical alternative...

maibe...mr. Bungle and Fantomas as well!
Thank you DFD!
This song is sooooo good
I feel like this dude was inspired by Danny Elfman. Not a bad thing.
mr bungle for sure - but danny elfman i'm sure is also quite likely ;) zappa likely, maybe even xtc. definitely mr bungle though - earlier vocals even sounded like mike patton - and still are in that vein a lot of times
Son of Mr.Bungle
Amazing as always! 🔥
2 years, still amazingly beautiful
@@alibensacrifice And still a year later? (Hell yes it's still great)

Woooh DFD is back!

check out the whole album, it's amazing. It has anything from southern, funk, big band, to metal. That's just what they do.
How does the Fed raise or lower interest rates?
Make a song about that. Because I don't understand it.

666 thumbs up them
Like that it sounds similar to Mr Bungle but oh man, I find the lyrics way too cheesy :/
Not good
96% Mike Patton, this shit fucking sucks... Seriously???
