    I’m in the middle of making one right now, for a family with an extremely complex marital history. Very useful!

    That’s very helpful information to me. I’m not well acquainted with spreadsheets, but I could do this! And, it helps so much to know how to organize the information. Thank you. Maybe you could try to speak a little slower.

    Simple but effective, I'm going to make one for an ancestor now! Thanks for sharing

    I love timelines, they are so helpful and your explanations of the little tricks make it so much easier. Thank you for doing this video Lisa.

    That's the same as Microsoft Excell (which is what I use for spreadsheets and projects. I'll use it and your techniques. Thanks

    This is so helpful! I've used a variety of timelines using different methods and they don't seem to be the best for me. I will try this,thanks for sharing!

    Thank you! This is so incredibly timely....
    I have spent decades on my adoptive families. Some years ago I got my bio families straightened out and have worked hard on those.
    But it is time to go back to my adoptive families and make more progress in terms of fine details, and timelines, and remembrances, and working timelines to create narratives, and get those online for the future.
    My younger brother has grandkids, and I remember and know so much more. But he is not the historian....
    So it's time to get that worked up.
    Thanks again!

    Thank you for this info. I did find it a little hard to understand exactly what you did sometimes, simply because I am new to Google Sheets. I'm also confused; how do you save the template, yet also save several different filled in templates?

    • @alexandracruz5243
      @alexandracruz5243 7 месяцев назад

      Google saves the template automatically in Google Drive after you create them.

    Don’t you lose a lot of functionality with the merged cells?

      Specifically - pivot tables and other advanced data manipulation tools are hampered by the merged tables. No?

    You can group each decade to easily hide and unhide them without having to highlight and hide the decade again.
