This is definitely the easiest map video out there on youtube. I was searching for a week before I found this video. This software definitely makes it way easier than Ai or any other software. Thank you so much man

Thanks for the great detailed explanation.
I’m just getting into these maps and have been struggling to find how to attach the water to the frame and keep the pieces together.
All other tutorials just seem to expect you to know.

That was my problem as well! I’m glad this helped you! I think for different software it’s all different, but most of what other people show are paid programs. I wanted to highlight how you can do it for free using Beam Studio.

Thanks for this video! What do you use to glue on the really thin portions without glue squeezing out?

I started using 3M spray adhesive!

wasn't exactly what I was looking for but as soon as I saw it I was like oh that is home, I miss home. Anyone know where I could find how to make layered topological maps?

I'm starting to work on lake maps, but I know the kind you're talking about and haven't attempted those yet.

Unfortunately, the maps you’re using are copyrighted. If this is for personal use then you’re good, but if you’re making these to resell, Google copyrights their maps for commercial use. Snazzymaps styles are free to use, but the underlying Google maps are not. You need to use an open source maps to use this which are freely available from many sources.

I don't sell just create for fun! But I'm sure other users may appreciate the tips on where to find other sources!
