I never really understood why they stopped making .22 co2 revolvers. I have several old crosman 38T's , 3 in .22 and one 38C model in .22. Great old vintage guns. I also have the 7 inch Scofield so I will definitely be getting the .22 rifled barrel kit for it. Airgun Detectives is by far the BEST review channel on YT, bar none!
Very Nice! Awesome! Enjoyed Very Much! Also The Review of The Barra 5" and 7" In .177 Caliber Video Too! Respectable Power On All Versions and Calibers. Thank You J. C.
Thanks for this review! I was glad to see Barra come out with this rifled barrel conversion. I hope to see others doing the same (I would love to see a rifled barrel version of my M29 CO2 pistol).
You know they have the rifles barrel version for the M29 in Europe, but for some strange reason Umarex will not release that in the states? Thanks for watching!
Thanks for reviewing these. I've always wanted a CO2 .22 revolver for quicker follow ups than a single shot. In Canada the 7" Barra goes for around $200 and the .22 barrel kit goes for $45. Had not previously been a fan of the BB/pellet cartridges but I'm now sold on the ability to convert a .177 revolver to .22! But if you want to stay with .177, the Crosman Vigilante comes with a rifled barrel for about $110.
Yea. These Schofields are just awesome revolvers. I guess I've never jeard a single bad word about them. Apparently classy products. Well shot JC! 👍🏻👍🏻
Ola JC, another excellent video as always my friend. And well done Barra for making these kits available with good performance and price too. Very good upegreid. I enjoyed seeing the hyperactive huntress. I've had several dogs of this breed over the years.. Have a fantastic weekend! 🦮🦮🐈🐈👍
No need to go filing on those sights. You will find that the point of impact will move up on the target with heavier pellets. That 22 is probably engineered to shoot to point of aim with the 14.3 grain pellet. Where can I order a barrel kit?
Oh, awesome,....I saw a review of the Barra 1866 with a .22 barrel option, and then I googled and saw the Schofield. Now I know I could get both in .22 and use the same shells, it's very tempting.
Great video as always sir . Nice pistolas. Old school looks . & style. I like it ......... Have you seen that umarex komplete. Yet ??? I'm. Been a little curious about that beeman raider lately. Tòo
@AirgunDetectives I did some reading & you tube video ing on that komplete. & it's a decent peice. Yes. But it would cost you over 100 bucks to fire 500 pellets. I think. i.ll. pass !!
@joeydupre6153 you will get at least 60 shots on average. Ambient temperature could get you more or less. The warmer weather, the better with Co2. Happy Shooting!
Awsome vid! Question… schofields in general I know the army decided on colts, even though the the loading seems easier or faster especially when on horses so I’ve heard. I always wondered about this issue. One thing I’ve noticed with my schofield and also mk IV is when I draw out of their holsters sometimes the lever to release the cylinder catches on the holster or even the zipper of my jacket once and opens the chamber as I draw spilling the ammo. I tested this while loading them on an electric scooter to mimic a horse and same even though it was easier to reload than the colt. I also thought this wouldn’t matter with real schofield empty shells falling out but for loading pellets and plinking it’s happened several times where the pistol lever catches and opens up as I un holster it. Not a lot but enough to always have it in the back of my head. Maybe this is why the army back then didn’t choose to use them?
Thank you. Im in Canada but will check it out. Quick question. Is it possible to mod other bb guns with this rifled barrel kit? Specifically my Chiappa Rhino 60ds. Thank you.
Looks like a lot of fun, need to get one for the family. You looking good, getting some training in keep it up. We need to stay strong healthy manly and Godly.
vaseline in the pellet skirts is very tempting. smiles replace the o-rings with nitril 70 from mcmaster-carr and this is a opportunity to increase velocity by 150% smiles but me, i chose to buy the AEA T9 from fox air power so i do not ever have to use vaseline to get velocity or power. $899. energy 100 foot pounds, caliber .356 or 9mm use lead only and consider edgunwest .356 dia exploding slugs... TLW i have mine on the way through fed ex right now. it will be in my
I've been waiting for this one from when you first announced the kits. Did the upgrade several months ago but only have a six yard range , not really a great distance to see much noticeable improvement in accuracy. Went back to the "Fat Bat" Halloween vid where you shot the smoothbores using pellets, and the numbers definitely show an improvement and tighter grouping with the rifled barrels . From .87 down to .60 for the 5" and 1.3 down to .90 for the 7".... The upgrade I did for my 7" is .177, now I'm wondering if I should bump it up to the .22? Any chance you could do a comparison between the 7" 177 and .22 barrels? (Some people are just never satisfied 😁) It's not about the power for me it's about accuracy and I know these are plinkers not target guns but it's nice to have the most accurate (and best looking) plinker on the block. Thanks for doing this one JC...great review as always.👍👍👍👍👍
I appreciate you tuning in and thank you for sharing your comments. I think the accuracy will be very comparable in the 7" .22 and the .177. the only difference, the .177 will just have a little more velocity.
JC misspoke, in his other videos when he tests pistols, you'll hear him say 10 meters or about 12 yards.. ( Actual is 10.9 yards or 33 feet if you must be pedantic ) ..any ways, "close enough for government work and plinking"... so pas de soucis mate, daccord?
As the kit is $25 how about a .25 version? If .22 is getting around 400 FPS .25 would probably get around 350 FPS.Although .20 would be nice too and guessing about 440 FPS.
You seem like you were decent person in your job integrity and kindness do count just as much as the airgun your shooting. Don't forget God is absolutely 100%real that's a fact.
Not to get of target those are great plinkers no doubt and look great. I used to be a doubting Thomas but God showed me he was absolutely real threw a sign and Wonder I'm more than happy to share it with anyone I know Gods real .no drugs no stupid stuff mock all you want. Great job upgrading the pistol may God be with you all.
Finally, some respectable power in these co2 pistols.

Way-to-go- Barra,.. and of course JC for showing us these kits and how well these revolvers perform.
Thumbs up!

@@AirgunDetectives It's always a pleasure JC, and you are most welcome.

Steve, thank you for watching and I really appreciate your comment! Happy Shooting! 👍
They should make kit for the Dan Wesson in 22 cal
They should make kits for many of these pistols!!

Great Revolvers and Barrelkits love it. In Germany I never seen Barraairguns here...I love it. Importeur for Germany needed...
I have the 7". I need to get the .22 barrel. 400 fps with a .22 lead pellet? In a revolver? What's not to love?

@AirgunDetectives I did hear that. Wondering why they won't bring it here? Thanks again for your channel!
I MUST OWN THIS!

Hi Luis..I hope all is well with you and your four-legged children! That is one HYPO dog, but she is very kind!
Yes I did enjoy this show, can I get the rifled kit in Canada?
I am sure they are coming your way. Reach out to Barra direct, tell them JC sent you and you want your barrel kit!🤣🤣
That was interesting. I'm going to go look those two up right away. I have both these pistols.
Great video and review as always and the barrel kits are awesome and really affordable as well.

Not sure if I am ready for another air source...Now we need to purchase Nitro cartridges in addition to Co2? I will have to get one to review....Best!
@AirgunDetectives I did some reading & you tube video ing on that komplete. & it's a decent peice. Yes. But it would cost you over 100 bucks to fire 500 pellets. I think. i.ll. pass !!
Been waiting for this video!! Great job and the velocity is better than i was hoping for!
Is the replacement barrel for the 7-1/2" barrel longer or are they the same length?
What's the average number of shots out of a Co2 cartridge for the .177 version?
@joeydupre6153 you will get at least 60 shots on average. Ambient temperature could get you more or less. The warmer weather, the better with Co2. Happy Shooting!
Wow amazing results why didn't they make them like this
How much of a drop in fps would the .22 barrel in the 5 inch version be theoretically?
Have you tried reviewing a KWC 1911 pistol that goes 730 FPS ! in BBS!!!
Haven't heard of that one?

Barra are my passion
Where do you get .22 pellets that light? The lightest ones i could find were H&N Excite at 12.96 grains.and the weights just go up from there.

.25 may be a bit too large for the shroud. Not sure if they can make that thin of a barrel...
